Yep. Grew up in the LA 80s punk scene and discovered acid houses through a friend in the late 80s. Everyone was different and the rave culture hadn't started yet. Great memories of driving from one location in LA to pay $20 then get another location of the event to go to. Early days cops had no idea, eventually became harder till they went legit.
House back then was never about lots of money for the creators or the DJs. Only some promoters really got a lot of money (some - A LOT). They had tricky jobs though, as it was a real gamble and often about whether they got thrown in prison and how long for. I think there were very few convictions.
Always remember being a little kid and being frustrated about my disability and the first thing mum would do was pick me up outta my wheelchair and let me groove with her, 🎶🎶🎶💖

Im pushing 50 and was a big pill head back in the day went raving every weekend. I was in London today parked up in my van playing this track and had some young fella stop and ask me what this was we talked and listened and next to play on my track list was lock up Zero B. The fella went away having two new tracks he liked it kind of made me feel old but also happy i introduced someone to two classics from back in the day.

They changed the frequency of the music after the rave scene in the music biz because they don't want people feeling that love and happiness anymore plus it brought unity, if that happens they have no control over us then, it almost brought the world together.

I've made loads of new friends and it felt so good for people to want me to go out with them after not seeing them for 25 years which is a lifetime !!! So many of them said such nice things after all those years and it meant so much to me especially after all the nasty things my ex wife said which after hearing it everyday I actually started believing it we had known each other for so many years I thought it must be true she had no reason to lie and we did love eachother for a long time. Anyway that's past now I've got the best friends in the world and don't need or want anyone else. Going back out raving after all this time has done me the would of ģood and im so grateful for my true friends they mean everything to me and always will xxx

It’s comical to listen to modern “producer” UA-cam vids micro-obsessing over how the resonant HZ of the kick is clashing with the bass and how equivalent of £20K in hardware (as plugins) is needed to ‘fix’ it 🤦♂️
That's true. The difficult part is creating few musical riffs or parts that will work effectively yet sound simple. It's not easy creating simple hooks that work together great

Remeber doing set in my local pub about 2 years ago to load of the younger generation kept having people coming up to me saying what is this music it’s brilliant never heard it told them this is propper music not crap your Been feed these days everyone in the pub was up dancing and I mean everyone was fantastic night and had so many compliments old skool will never die as long as djs still play it
