Looks like we stumbled upon a cool old place metal detecting

- Out in the woods of Nh we walked into an area with a lot of old stuff in the ground we were finding metal detecting. Looks like a loggers camp from the early 1900s more than likely the 1930s. Old cans, pales, tools, pipes, buttons, horseshoes .....the ground was loaded with stuff in a pretty large area. Today we had decided to stay away from the cellar hole of this old abandoned farm and check out the ends of it along the rock walls. Reading the landscape history you can see the ground shifted where these men had setup their logging operation and funny enough just outside the back pasture of the farm. We end the day with a really nice old padlock. Finding old places like this you have to do some exploring and reading the land.

The lock that Nat found is beautiful. What an exciting find. All of you found something nice. The bottom of an old stove just sitting on the surface. This is a great spot😊 loved the adventure guys❣️

Nice find for Nate. Good thing you checked out this site
Wow that was a great site! Bonus points for completing the lock 🔒 Nate 🤙😎
BEARDO! With the cool find. Fun stuff
Great day 👍 Enjoyed
Congratulations Nate!
Great hunt guys
the lead you found around the 6 or 7 miniute times stamp is from leaded plumbing joints. the cast iron pipes slipped into each other and molten lead was poured in. after the lead cooled they used a caulking iron and hammered it tightly in the joint. Im a plumber and thats how we did it years ago.
yes we still use leaded water pipes in our city
Good stuff guys. Congrats!
Loggers station for maintaining or sharpening tools

That is one OLD lock👌😎👍🏻
Great day to hunt/Glad to see all of you find alot of things people left behind/
Nice discovery. I found one of those zinc canning jar lids with a glass insulator, about the same condition as yours. They used the glass so the food wouldn't take on the zinc taste.
Thanks for sharing my friends enjoyed this video.
Thanks, fellas 😊!!! My mom once said, locks are only good for keeping honest people honest!!!
And the prize for the largest ever find on SD goes to Nate lol
that lock was cool- >. America Bless God!
All the files say loggers camp. They used them to sharpen axes.

at 15 mins. the site almost reminds me other the aftermath of a steam explosion.
Love my Stealth Diggers❤❤❤🇺🇸
not preserve jar lid with insulator, that insulator liner is used on acidics like tomatoes to prevent the acids from eating the jar lid
First time I ever heard mention of anything related to hunting. The people who lost all the items you find were almost all hunters. I wish you would mention the caliber of all the spent shells you find and the brands. New England had different popular caliber weapons, then say mid Atlantic states.
300 winchester magnum
just don't take all buttons for GRANITE and Gramps was locking up his moonshine so granny couldn't drink it...otherwise what the heck would they be locking up way out there..they didnt have anything?
