Reminds me of when I was a kid and my father would take me to JFK Airport in NY to watch the jets. The first time I saw a 747 was amazing because it was only about 100 ft above our heads before it landed and it was one of the first 747s to enter service. Yeah, I'm that old but you're never too old to love aircraft. ✈💖
Really clever of those so called parents about there children to have that high pitched noise blasted against there eer drums, big problems for all concerned,
Flew Heathrow to LA in 2019, thought i would never fly in one of these big planes but it was one of the best flights I have ever experienced and i have been flying this route for over 40 years
I remember going with my family to Birmingham airport in the 70s and hardly seeing any planes! It's so lovely to see young people get excited at seeing these planes, especially the A380, fly over them.
I believe landing to be the riskiest part of the flight, then taking off and getting well clear of the ground, then everything else is the safest part of the flight.
You sound like such a joyful person - I guess you spend your spare time engaging in extremely worthy pursuits, whilst looking down on the great unwashed

If not mistaken statistically the most dangerous part of flying is taking off and landings

Landing definitely
