I just got the same charger and with all the videos I’ve watched for installation your video was the best so far. I thank you for that. I’ll be starting my van life here shortly so I’ll look forward to your next video. ☮️🙏
The fuse size is determined by the wire size you use. We used a 2awg wire going from the starter battery to the dc to dc charger with a 200 amp fuse. From the dc to dc to the house batteries we used 8awg wire with a 50 amp breaker. From the solar on the roof we used 10awg wire with a 30 amp fuse going into a battery cut off switch then to the dc to dc mppt charger. So really you want to determine the wire size you need for your situation and fuse the wire accordingly. Hope this helps and thanks for watching and commenting. ~ Kevin
Thanks! The Inverter works great! But I must tell you I really don't use it very often. I've used it for things like quickly blow drying my hair (1875w hair dryer) and an electric coffee grinder without any issues. This would be a good subject for a future video. I can run it through a few more tests with different appliances. I'll try to do that soon.
I don't believe it does. Here is the link to the manual. Maybe you will understood it better than I can. au.renogy.com/content/manual/RMS-DCDC-Manual.pdf
Congratulations on the new gray water tank! It was nice to see Kevin's installation he does such a nice job explaining it.
Immaculate electrical work. 👍

Really great video thanks !
What fuses should be used for the house/starter battery to mppt dc to dc ? I'm a bit confused (in general lol) g

Still great!!! What's your next trip?
Thanks! I’m waiting to announce it, but soon 🙂
Does that battery monitor tell you the amperage that's being put into your house and starting batteries.
No. It only shows the amps going into the house batteries from either the solar, alternator, or both.
Does the solar light turn off when the batteries are fully charged?
If the service battery is full the light will be green.
Great video 👍🏻👍🏻 How is the performance of the Renogy 2000W inverter??

Hi. Does the RMS tell you the KWA for solar and alternator independently, so you can see how much each has contributed on their own?
Thanks
