@@aussfish9995 Fished evrey spot ! I do miss it as I live in Tas now but fishing here is pretty good. Have been catching snapper here for a number of years and King George whiting have now made an appearance. Not to mention the freshwater, brilliant.
Hi Dave you got some nice fish mate , nothing like fishing in the rain . Really appreciate all of your tips and the time you put in to do the videos, thanks heaps and can't wait for the next video 👍
Great vid Dave. Plenty of fish caught, some good quality fish as well and always very informative. I always appreciate yr tips and amount of info you provide in yr vids and that second last fish, yr 70cm flatty which you almost run aground with, shows yr experience to me once again because I had a very similar thing happen a couple of months ago when I was drifting quite quickly towards shore and my last flick before starting my motor up hooked a 76cm flatty and by myself to try and deal with both fish and stop boat from running a shore is not easy for me. I struggled I can tell you but you made it look easy, that yr experience showing to me..... Love this vid Dave it was right down my alley🤙
Just trying to get my eye back in the Lake I’ve kinda neglected it over the last five years. I’m Going to try to fish it at least one day a week this winter
Just drifting and casting mate I don’t even use catch scent on any of my lures gulp has its own scent but if it was not scented I would still not use catch cent on it 👍
Great haul of fish down my neck of the woods Dave👍 A lot of your videos are in very poor weather. Starting to wonder if you actually target rain in an open boat😂
Yer mate I only use 9 pound Schneider line on the beach and I've pulled 10 kg Jew on it. Just sit on the bonet of the Hilux and they eventually roll up on the beach
I wouldn't put much faith in what the DPI say why wouldn't know the difference between clay and sh#t there head minster didn't even know that the brown grouper was a grouper😂 and I've caught thousands of flathead in 42 to 45 cm range and when I've opened them up there been female with orange row in them 👍
Interesting they probably reach sexual maturity about 45cm. When ever I have good sessions on the Flathead in the Lake you seem to catch a lot of 40 to 45 with the bigger fish mixed in amongst them
@@aussfish9995 yer I've seen then when we been spear fishing sitting with one big girl and 4 or 5 smaller ones around her. But when I seem them like that I usually let them be cause I think there breeding
I’d been out two days before with my mate and caught 15 Flathead we keep 10 so I had plenty of fish. But I’m kind of a catch and release guy at heart particularly as I’ve got older
Brings back memories as I grew up around Lake Mac and nine mile beach fishing and adventuring. Great nostalgia, thanks Dave.
The Hunter it’s a beautiful place, Stockton Beach Lake Macquarie Port Stephens the city Beaches I love it 👊

Nice to see the rods still being dropped against the gunnels, that were freshly welded by your cousin.

Yeah good idea must be breeding for sure, the big females must be leading the males around all the Lake
So i take it you dont eat fish
