What phone provider do u have? I know some providers can't be compatible with some older flip phones
I wish I could use one of those because they’re so beautiful but Pokemon Go is my guilty pleasure and I don’t think it would work without a stupid touchscreen. Makes me so mad bc the mouse cursor stuff is SO good on these phones 😭

Try looking up the video 'How to install apk into your Android flip phone' by QQ Low, it worked perfectly for my Kyocera 902kc. Once you manage to install APKPure or Aurora, you can do the rest directly from the phone.

I just recently got this phone and I've been trying to install apps for it but every time I type in the "adb install" command into Minimal ADB and Fastboot I get the "Invalid APK file" error. I've tried this with 15 different files and the same error keeps coming up. The phone is Android 5.0 so I made sure the files are compatible with it and yet the same error persists. Does anyone have a clue on how to solve this? 😔

Hey! Thank you for this vid :) I just got the same phone and im a lil confused about it. So, how can you connect headphones to it, just bluetooth? Also the apps, for some reason when I connect it to my computer with usb my phone only charges and doesn't connect, so I can't use ADB :( Dev mode and USB debugging are on, am I missing something?
No headphone jack, so the only way to get a headset working is either via bluetooth or if you have a mini usb to headphone jack adapter. I think you would need to download the ADB installer app on your computer first. If you type “how to install apps on japanese android flip phones” on youtube, a tutorial should come up! That’s what I followed
Hey, I had the same issue with the same phone and I just found out how to connect it to PC instead of just charge the phone. So you might wanna go to "setting" then "other settings", then you go to "storage", you go to "USB connection" in the verry bottom, and you check "MTP mode". And if it still not working, you probably have to change the micro USB cable that you use because some cable are just charging the phone instead of connecting to PC

I think US still support 4G so there’s a good chance it will work. I’m not 100% sure though!
Be sure to check the bands, if the bands the phone uses and the bands your Carrier uses don't match, then it will not work.

From watching different videos, even tiktok seems to work! You may run into the problem of apps loading slow but that's a small sacrifice IMO. The phone runs android 5 :)

Aside from the folder 2 and 601sh, the rest probably wont work as they run on 3G :( on but I heard kyocera 902kc works there. I managed to get my hands on a pink one so I could be uploading that soon

Unfortunately, I can’t remember how I got it to work. i just know there were a lot of uninstalling/reinstalling involved. Atp it’s probably not supported anymore so it won’t work

APK's are very common especially if you're already using an android. Pretty much every app is an APK file! And yes, I do believe from watching other videos that Spotify works on this, it's just you may need to install an earlier version of the app (this goes for most apps). Hope this helps!
Apple music works but can’t really guarantee unfortunately. If they stop supporting android 5.0 then it won’t work anymore

compared to the samsung folder 2, I think this has less functionality as it supports less apps. It only runs on android 5.0 while the folder 2 runs android 6. Daily driver? sure if you only care about texting and calling people and doing whatsapp with some light browsing. do take note that the browser is so outdated, some sites may not even load

if I'm not mistaken, this phone uses Android as an operating system, so you can install almost any application on it
Aslong it can read messages from WhatsApp,Insta its fine. Dont really need social media ohh and listening mp3 music like good old days.
Has no audio jack tho and the bandwith support is very limited outside of japan but its a great phone tho

Any App that work with Android 5.0 and up you can use, but not every App runs good.
Spotify lite should work fine and better than normal Spotify for the newer flip phones
