IAA fork drivers are horrible... I’ve had multiple suspension issues from vehicles bought from there... weren’t there when I inspected it but was there once I checked it on the trailer... it’s sad.
w/ antibiotics in the car... A kind used for skin infections, bacteria, travelers diarrhea... ETC. .... ewwwwww! NO car, NO amount of 'content' is worth taking such high risk (esp THESE DAYS, in these times & all) Not like there's nothing in there, where it'd be a lot less risky. The red flags are everywhere.... recovery car, bio. marked all over car, gross, filthy inside, drugs... needles.... All considered, at the very least he should've been wearing gloves. I bought a fiesta from copart in January stolen recovered in the U.K and they don’t write if it’s a bio hazard here. Randy, please wear gloves going through all your cars you buy specially this one. Yes the fork lift driver has no business having the front end slammed in the forklift like that and he pushed it back with the car being in park. Forklift caused that oil pan damage and front bumper damage and wouldn't be surprise if they dented the driver side fender as well. I would have them be responsible for all that! No way I'm paying 3k and let them do that. Good luck.

A suggestion...... After you carefully clean out the interior of all the debris, run an ozonator in the sonic for a day or so to disinfect the interior of the vehicle to be on the safe side, make certain the air handling system is running on internal circulation as well while disinfecting!!!!!.

Touch up the chips and scrapes, it's white and it's a disposable car. Work the left fender damage out to minimize. Make it clean, replace the oil pan and send it.
by the location of the pan, being next to the busted tire, most likely bottomed out when they hit whatever it was. looks like maybe a curb of some kind.
I had one and I live in South America, in 2 years I had to fix the oil pan 3 times when you see one of this cars, run away from it. They eat thermostats for lunch.

Go to gm and buy a new key. Dont have them program it you can do it yourself. Put the key in the car and turn it to the on position. Leave it for 10 minutes like that. Then do that again for a total of 3 times. After the third time your new key will be programmed. Make sure uour battery is charged or on a charger. I've done the personally so I know it works.
Bad luck I saw when u put camera under first time that the oil pan was coated hope nothing else goes wrong.. I love the videos can't wait to c the next one
This car made me go out and buy my own Chevy sonic!! I got it at a dealer who sold it with a rebuilt tilte! And I only paid 1.9k with 118k miles and it needed just a little bit of work done.
I love our dd 13 sonic, non turbo sedan, 62k on it as we speak ....what i have not figured out if what is the card slot for below the media controls ? They have a neutral slot beside the shifter to get it in neutral, good video randy ...i reailze it an older video but good, was this a 1.8 as well? Best of the 2 motors ....turbos dont last - Mark

They simply continued driving after they blew the tire until they completely obliterated the tire wall. I have seen the same done to Firestone, Goodyear, etc. Just watch some police pursuits where the suspect gets a flat tire and they continue driving, on this car they stoped before they drove on the bare rim.
I wouldn’t even replace the fender I’d just pull the inner fender pop the dent out as much as you can. Fix the oil pan and clean it up and send it down the road.

I would not sit on the seats in case there's a needle embedded in the cushion. I would not touch the clothing (same reason). I would not touch the carpet (same reason) that interior needs to be gutted and the seats need to be completely disassembled to verify that there are no needles embedded anywhere.
Just leave the fender on smooth it a bit frontbumper also put some stickie on the oilpan hole for now and let it clean by a company sell it for like 4 to 5 grant done.
Forklift ran into the oil pan you can see it when you got into all the way in the back with the camera right before you started to pull it back out when you inspecting the bottom before you took it to the dealership

Hey Randy, why don't you "cross chain" your vehicles? The way you strap them down allows the vehicle to move side to side. Just saying to save your ass if it does shift and hit another car.
The thief probably bypassed the immobilizer somehow and fucked up the ignition in the process. Randy will probably need to trace the ignition wires in order to get the keyfob working and replace the ignition cylinder.
My IAA treats their cars like trash. I've been in their lot many times and it doesn't matter if it's a nice car or a junky car, when the car gets moved around, it's without any care. I have yet to see my IAA move a car without cracking the bumpers or put the forks underneath without hearing some nasty sounds coming from the suspension. And according to them they are not responsible for any damage even if you can prove it was done by them and after you bidded on it and won... That's sketchy

I just found your channel. I've been buying and reselling cars for years, I only buy biohazards because I'm trained in biohazard cleanup as well as medicine so to me its a good deal at auction. You're on a goldmine if you scout the vehicle and are transparent to the biohazard and concentrate on the mechanics itself.

Steel weld stick from walmart. Clean very well push in hole let dry 20 mins good to go. I've done it to a Ford mini van with like 6 holes in pan

Bought a Hyundai about ten years ago from a junk yard. Had over 50 needles in it.

Hey Randy, why don't you "cross chain" your vehicles? The way you strap them down allows the vehicle to move side to side. Just saying to save your ass if it does shift and hit another car.

Should only "ping" if the door is open while the key is in the ignition barrel.
The thief probably bypassed the immobilizer somehow and fucked up the ignition in the process. Randy will probably need to trace the ignition wires in order to get the keyfob working and replace the ignition cylinder.
Maybe the thief was a diabetic
These Fork lift drivers need to be complained about how many times have you bought a car that they have damaged.
My IAA treats their cars like trash. I've been in their lot many times and it doesn't matter if it's a nice car or a junky car, when the car gets moved around, it's without any care. I have yet to see my IAA move a car without cracking the bumpers or put the forks underneath without hearing some nasty sounds coming from the suspension. And according to them they are not responsible for any damage even if you can prove it was done by them and after you bidded on it and won... That's sketchy

I just found your channel. I've been buying and reselling cars for years, I only buy biohazards because I'm trained in biohazard cleanup as well as medicine so to me its a good deal at auction. You're on a goldmine if you scout the vehicle and are transparent to the biohazard and concentrate on the mechanics itself.
