    I've had 4 different RZRs. 800, 800S, 900S and a 1000XP... All around my 15 900S is still my favorite. I had the shocks revalved and had the 15HP ECU reflash with minor clutch work. Those three items, though costly, turned my 900 into a completely different ride. I sometimes wished I had kept it.

      Look at Polaris 800 S if your looking for something affordable..they can be found for pretty cheap and are excellent rigs on any terrain..only time you would really want anymore power is at the dunes, but even then there a ton of fun there. Just a few years ago they were the top dog at the dunes, smoking fully built Yamaha Rhinos lol. Around were I live in the Pac NW, you can find them all day for $6-8k..

  • @NorthernRiderOffroad
    @NorthernRiderOffroad 6 років тому +3

    Stock the 1000 S has 69whp. My 900 had 46whp. After the tune from Evo Powersports my 900 was at 61whp. The 1000 S with tune was at 71whp. Doesnt seem to bad but the 1000 S has tons more torque. All testing was done on the same dyno same day. Ive driven both and the torque of that 1000 motor is pretty sweet corner to corner.

    • @ctroger24
      @ctroger24 6 років тому +2

      Northern Rider I have heard great things about that Evo tune. Did you notice a pretty big difference on your 900s? I plan to get the Evo tune and high flow filter for now, which should be about 15-17 whp, correct? I like the quieter stock exhaust, but I may upgrade down the road. I bought some parts off a guy who told me about the Evo tune and said at the dunes he keeps up with XP1k's until about 50, then it slowly pulls away. Got me pretty excited about my 900 that $500ish could add so much more power..I really wanted the 1ks, but found my 2016 900s base last week with only 19 hours for $8750 (with full set of paddles, Highlifter high clearance arms, and a roof)..think I can deal with the less power lol. $$ I saved lets me put alot of aftermarket parts and still be in it right..

    • @NorthernRiderOffroad
      @NorthernRiderOffroad 6 років тому +3

      Chris T evo tune and a clutch kit will make it haul ass. Youll notice a huge difference. Qsc makes an awesome clutch kit. The exhaust added 1hp so you can live without it. Use the money for the exhaust on a clutch kit. Proper clutching will let you see the full potential of that evo tune!

    I agree with the review, it’s a machine and I like my money in my pocket, I drove every rzr and when I took an envelope of cash to buy a 900 (ie not financed) it’s as powerful as I would ever need. It’s not as smooth or as quiet as the 800, but it compensates. Like I need to cause I have a little pecker!!!!

    Ok. So I purchased a 2019 base model 900 s. I like every thing about it except the shocks. I would describe them as bone jarring. I can't believe fox would put their name on these. I can't believe Polaris would put these on any side x side of theirs. I've owned 4 previous Polaris that all had plush suspension. This one rides like it's built in China.

      @ctroger24 6 років тому

      J Cunningham depends on needs bro..in the trails this has more than enough power..my buddy has the 1000s and i go everywhere he does. I assume at the dunes I will want more, but same with the 1000's in the dunes..you will probably want more (turbo)..but the turbo is overkill for trails. Its hard to find one machine that will do both..I chose the one that is great on trails and still fun at the dunes, long as your main goal isnt drag racing all day lol

    Great video except this guy failed math class. He said that the 100hp is 25% more power than the 75hp. It’s actually just over 33% more hp. Here’s the math: 75 x33.334= 25.05. 25+75=100 just thought I’d nerd out and say the 1000 is just over 33% more powerful.

      I noticed that too but let it slide. Its a common mistake to misunderstand percentages... When the IRS increases your tax rate from 25% to 27.5%, is that a 2.5% increase? Nope, its a 10% increase, but most people wont see it that way.
