It never ceases to amaze me the lack of respect the wind has for the forecast and the best laid plans sailing plans. We use to never mention above a whisper which direction we planned to sail for fear that's where the wind would come from, lol
Great video again guys. Looks like @11.02 you're sailing with the gearbox in neutral (and prop freewheeling), I'd stick it in reverse to save wear on the gearbox and cutlass bearing.
I once over-rotated on a high cliff jump I'd done since I was young by slipping on take off. My balls got a massive slap and I had a good nosebleed. My own kids thought it was hilarious. Your scrape was a way better outcome 😂
What a dream episode! Smooth sailing, minor engine burp, ......fixed, and private black sand beach. Perfect. These are the days of sailing that are used to sell sailboats. Brilliant! Thanks guys.
"I'm scared..." Luke you made me laugh. But I know exactly how you felt. And all that beautiful isolation! Adam's starting to look like Chuck '4 years later' Noland in Castaway :D Just need to see him spear a fish and gobble it up through his big beard....
Adam you could step right into a 17 century pirate ship and be one badass. Nice video boys great job. Ie black sand good indicator of possible gold. Grab the pans. Rick from Michigan

Another great video. My wife and I along with our visiting Niece watched it while lunching on Grilled cheese sandwiches. She wondered how you guys don't get sea sick. I told her all about your love of cheese and the legendary vigorous handshake and this video had it plus daring leaps off of cliffs! Well done. 😃
That's the best time to watch it while eating a cheese sandwich 🥪. We do get seasick but only a little sometimes mainly at the beginning of a voyage getting used to it. 🤝
Epic lad's....keep it coming.. What a amazing adventure.. I can't wait to up sticks and head out... That massive amount of cheese 😎💯🧀⛵🍕🌅fair winds and following seas!
I'm gonna find you crazy bastards one day on my sailing adventure's and have a pint with ya's. Love the videos, hope the channel really takes off. Might need a blow up doll in a bikini for some thumbnails though ;) Have fun!
Living the dream. Would love to have a bit of history/ stories from the places you visit, so way off the beat and track. The color of the water! Well done. Neath is grey today.
Another Sunday spent catching up on your adventures, love the typical brotherly help when Adam asked Luke to lend him some roll on deodorant and gets the ‘your not borrowing mine’ comment 😂😂😂. Sailing in paradise and dicing with death off cliffs 🥴😂😂😂
At 10:59 you can see your prop is turning. I'm not a sailor, but I always secured the shaft from spinning when getting towed, or anchoring in a strong current. Do sailboats not need to worry about damaging the transmission from lack of lubricant with the engine off? But if you do secure the shaft, take the key out and put it someplace to remind yourself to let the shaft loose before you start the engine.
Love the channel boys...i never miss an episode as mainstream is crap and depressing. Brings a smile to my face and you guys are living your dream Im so jealous Blessings to you 2 and blessings William
I'm catching up on your awesome adventures! I'm glad that engine came back to life - hd me worried there for a minute but glad you two are Pros!!! ;) Those are some insta - Moments on that isle!!! Can you guys make longer vids?? I love watching them!
@@TheSailingBrothers If U guys ever come to the west coast of southern California I'm gonna bring U cheese and BEER! We have a lovely harbor U can drop anchor in! ;)
Watched a few of your episodes sailing VANUATU , it's my home , noticed you use Windy as a source of wind , I find you can use it as a guideline , same goes for its weather prediction . You would also have found that the islands can disrupt wind direction quite a bit and at sunset the wind can drop right off depending which side of an island you are . Interesting to see you also use Google maps satellite view ,very practical aid . Good sailing boys .
You are 100% right Geoff. The islands and the end of the day can have dramatic effects on the wind direction and strength. We found Google maps is a great way of finding Sandy anchorages 💪
Well done lads. Make sure you keep those scratches clean you dont want to get an infection. Looking at the height of that cliff jump Im assuming the salt water enema helped. Keep them coming. Cheers.
Great video! It never ceases to amaze me how the wind has no respect for the forcast nor the best laid sailing plans! We used to never speak above a whisper what direction we planned to sail for fear the wind would come from that direction, lol
Adam and Luke did one of you think about the JAWS theme tune, while you're winded and bleeding because you chucked yourself off that cliff!!! 👍❤️👍❤ brilliant
What an adventure you boys are having - you really know your seamanship and those secluded island are amazing - only explored by the freedom of sailing - you must find it amazing to take your home from Wales to Vanuatu
Oh Mens you really are missing a nut. A cliff is always fun, but it is extremely dangerous I'm about to call Mel Gibson so he can shoot Mad Mad remastered with you. P.S. Nice video, I liked it. One question ❓ cheese doesn't need to be cold ❓ 👍💯
Curious as to why with a southeasterly wind you couldn't just beam reach over to the Aoba island. Why did you need to tack if you werent sailing upwind? Love the episode and views! I satch you guys instead of telly now. Do you ever go skinny dippjng? I sure would.
Got a lil rock rash did ya? Pour some rubbing alcohol on it ,you certainly don't want to get an infection while underway. You guys look good with your serious heads attached!
Great video. That beach looks like a very nice place to spend a little time. The cheese sandwiches did look dry. I like a lot of mayo on mine. Just had one. Sharp cheddar, mayo on whole wheat. Have you ever worried about pirates stopping you and demanding cheese? "Give us all of your cheese mista or we'll taunt you and unsubscribe!" LOL

Hi have you not got a shaft brake to reduce wear on your bottom gear ?
Noticed that too, maybe just a one-off, with the mileage...putting it into reverse gear will stop it.
We put the gearbox in reverse to lock the prop normally
