I think it is easy to underestimate sharp 200 f2.8. I use the rokinon 135 with a 1.4 tc, and can easily crop to a 300mm equivalent.

Great review and seems like an excellent lens. Would have liked to hear how it works with TCs in AF and image stabilization

Thanks! I didn't do extensive testing with the TC's, however, AF didn't seem to be affected. Image stabilization seemed relatively the same effectiveness with the 1.4, 2.0 was hard to tell.

Hi Jeremy , trying to decide between this lens and the Panasonic 70-200 f 2.8 for my S5ii. I already have the Sigma 150-600mm sport and really enjoying it( particular for birds). Looking to get a smaller Zoom for a safari trip to South Africa. Love your reviews from Australia!

Look at the Nikon Z 180-600 Lens >> for African Wild Life >> AWESOME image quality and ideal for African Safaris and unlike Tamron, Canon, Sigma The Nikon Lens is INTERNAL Zoom not a Trombone Dust Sucker on a Crowded Vehicle

Whats you standard photo in camera set up? Do you have problems with overblown highlights with the s5ii? .. and if you do how do you by pass them!

I definitely don't seem to have problems with overblown highlights on the S5II, if anything I typically shoot slightly too dark on accident with Cinelike D applied in camera.
      Typically I'm running the S1R with Sigma 500, 150-600, or 135.

I Love my Nikon Z 70-200 S lens on my Z8 but maybe selling it as I now have the Nikon 180-600 Z lens and I own the Nikon 24-120 f4 S lens ideal Wid life Combo and by selling the 70-200 I will save on insurance and be more mobile >> 70-200 was my main Wild Life lens here in Africa.but way to short . I dont need to worry about f2.8 and low light as I can use AI Denoise in P Shop and let the ISO run >> As I say I have always had a 70-200 but its not used much anymore now with the 24-120 f4 and 180-600 f5.6 - 6.3 for African Wild Life
. Nothing beats the image Quality of the 70-200 Nikon S lens though all brands included (The Z Mount Advantage )

There is no such thing as too much MP in camera systems that are properly built to use them. Pana would do well to bump up to 60MP in the next version. Having APS-C crop mode (at 26MP), that's why having more is better, especially when one has too short a Lens. Plus the ability for a given camera system to oversample.
