Great video! I like the short videos that address specific issues like this. I have no complaints about the voice over. I’m a native English speaker and have no problem understanding it. It’s an educational video, not a movie…
Distance for different situations would be helpful, particularly for the extreme hunter, how far from local power lines serving house ? How far from trunk powerlines serving towns ? One of the best videos up there, please do more.
Thanks for the video. I have a homesite under some power lines which originally caused a lot of issues. Nothing I did would settle my D2 until I moved into the Mono program. I pulled a lot of goodies out of that place after that!
I've been in a couple spots where it sadly wasn't worth detecting due to so much EMI 😢 I did everything mentioned here, and finally got it quiet in the 20s sensitivity 😕 I didn't bother wasting time anymore.
Truth be told...XP Deus 2 absolutely sucks around any real EMI. That's why everything filmed for the XP website is always on fields or beaches. I said what I said...
Whats a real EMI!? I'm looking to buy one deus2 but in my country is too rocky, iron high mineraliziation , shotgun shells and high voltage cables in some areas does that affect the Deus?
NO NO NO; must be a Minelab shill folks. i own both the D2 and the Manticore and have NO skin in the game; i am a history seeker and not paid by anyone nor would i EVER prostitute myself in such a manner. HERE is the TRUTH........ both are strong/powerful machines with incredible capabilities....simple as that!!! BUT both , while long on positives, have shortcomings and i can promise you that in multi frequency settings, BOTH will chatter away in many circumstances if you are in urban or quasi-urban areas....simple as that!! but as this video illuminates, the D2 can be "massaged" in numerous ways to mitigate the really heavy disturbances of EMI in MOST cases....i have had just as many extremely frustrating areas and events with the Manticore!!!....and i LOVE minelab stuff and technology!....the Manticore is a finicky machine as is the D2; much like a fussy yet gorgeous woman....many benefits but will DEF make you want to pull your hair out at times. if the author here( Mr L) is not familiar with the beaches of NYC that merrill hunts, then he might want to visit them......they DO NOT get any more urban//difficult than that!!! so in summation, the reason i bought both machines is the very reason one gets a 2nd opinion when facing treacherous surgery.....one machine compliments the other in so far as they work better when the other is struggling a bit, having both has enabled me to be on pace for over 300 silver coins this year thus far in largely "hunted out" areas....available to all in the public realm!!! like the aforementioned gorgeous woman, there can def be a decided love//hate thing with these uber-sensitive machines in certain areas but to suggest as Mr L does that the D2 cannot take the heat in the kitchen is patently WRONG!!!!!!!! i hunt and reside in the massive megalopolis between boston and baltimore and trust me....there is copious amounts of VERY REAL EMI everywhere at ALL times of the day and night!!!.....massive amounts of above ground and below ground pulsating electrical currents//etc so it is a regular shitshow!!! and the D2 is EVERY bit the machine the Manticore is!!!! and again, i truly love Minelab and have owned Etracs//Equinoxes//etc
I’ve had a few Minelab Equinox machines last was the 900 and IMO they were less customizable for EMI than the Deus II is. Also the weighting of the simultaneous multi frequency for each machine can be different and they don’t tell you that part because it’s patented. So one machine may seem quieter and less subject to EMI but at the expense of being less sensitive and losing targets.

Thanks for explaining how I can improve my detecting experience. Thanks for making this machine, I have so much fun using it. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for your loyalty.

Great info, but please lose the autotune/AI voice filter. It's really difficult to listen to and stay focused. Thanks!

Great information but the monotoned voice of the speaker was almost unbearable
Bring back Michael Eakers please!
They should have got Gary to do a voice over🤣
Very useful video thanks!
