Can you go from the lvl12 with the 2m iec chord to the engine room lvl 8?
The short extension cable is designed so that another power supply can be added on, in. Are someone has a ridiculously large pedal board. That way both power supplies are kept underneath the board. I enjoyed the unboxing video!
Just snagged this power supply, how the heck did you mount it to your board? Im trying to mount it underneath my pedalboard
Dual lock!
Hey great video! How did you end up going about mounting this supply? I have a wooden blackbird board and am trying to decide if dual lock tape will be enough, or if I'll need to go full on mounting brackets. Thanks!
I top-mounted it with velcro. these are kinda hefty, so I think a bracket might be best.
혹시 발열이나 팬소음에 대한 문제는 없었나요??
No
Will this power supply remove noise completely from any pedal ? If not, what would be the best 12 output power supply for noise cancellation?
As an isolated power supply, it should remove noise related to a dirty power supply. If there is noise from other sources, it won't solve that.
Any power supply that is a switch mode power supply not linear. This one is switch mode.
Late reply but I’m still learning this stuff so take this with a grain of salt:
It’s a switching power supply as someone else mentioned. This can actually introduce noice in less well made devices. Not sure about this one yet, but assuming it’s made by Fender and looks well made, I suspect it would be a minimal issue.
From what I understand, the isolated dc connections should help prevent ground loop noise and prevent noise creeping from one device to another.
It isn’t a power conditioner or regenerator so it will not help you with noise related to your electricity
It also isn’t some sort of magical anti-interference device (that to my knowledge don’t really exist) and so it will also not help you with interference issues.
Hope that helps.
I have mine hooked up to a conditioner but you could also hook it up to a regenerator. For interference it gets far more complicated and I’m still trying to wrap my head around that.
plug into a wall with a rotary dial :)
Thanks for this. Will be making a pre-order. : )
Hope you enjoy it!
Hello, great content. Are the two switchable outputs also 500mA or different amount? Thanks.
are you still running this power supply? how's it working out?
Yeah I gigged with it in early August and it's still on my board. Works great!
another interesting one , thanks
Curious if anyone knows if you can couple the two 12v outs to make 24v for a Deluxe Memory Man. I'm figuring you can using the coupling cable you can get from Analog Man, but figured I'd consult the innernette.
@Emily, Did the 12v variable port work to power the surfy bear? Just wondering if it giveds the right level of Miliamps it needs? obviously will need a centre positive adapter but wondering if it was man enough?
Do you want me to check on the Engine 8 or the Engine 12 for you? I'd honestly be shocked if it didn't work, though.
@@GetOffset either would be good as they both have the same variable ports on :-)
I see this was posted some time ago, but I was looking for a review of these and yours is excellent. Liked and subscribed! 🎸
Knice knife
knthanks
Is it possible to use the LVL 12 back outlet to power supply a small amp?
yes for sure
Im about to order the lvl 8 soon. Just ordered the small fender pedal board.
That's awesome! I still use mine! It's my go-to.
Any noise with this power supply have you experienced ?
No, not something I've noticed
@@GetOffset awesome, because I just bought it !
Thanks for the video.
What is the difference between the red and green cable? I know that one of them is a reverse cable. Do you know which one of them?
I hate to say but I have to look it up every time. I want to way green with line 6
They're reverse polarity adapters. The green fits an Eventide Space reverb, for example.
How do you unplug it?
It's just standard plugs
What is the color of Reverse polarity ? Thanks
I'd have to look in the manual.
Red.

By any chance did you figured out if the red head cable is the reverse polarity one?
@@be8965 I finally found the answer in the owner's manuals for the Engine Room (for each of LVL 5, 8, and 12) which is now on the Fender website. Red is reverse polarity.
"• 18” (45cm) cable, 2.5mm-2.1mm barrel connector (green)
• 18” (45cm) cable, 2.5mm-2.1mm barrel connector, reverse
polarity (red)"
The instructions that came in the box with my Engine Room LVL12 (which I just bought new this week) did not include the red and green parentheticals.
The green one is apparently included in case you need a 2.5mm barrel on one end, maybe for Line 6 DL4 Delay?
(green)
i believe red tips are center positive on all devices ?
Cómo se desconecta? Solo jalo el cable de la toma de corriente?
Si. There's not an on/off switch, just unplug.
@@GetOffset muchas gracias, excelentes videos, mucho éxito y saludos desde México!
@@profesormota4109 de nada! gracias por las palabras amables
You look like that woman that those black religious guys dismissed, and because she was such a delicate snowflake, she called the cops, then went ahead and got arrested. Are you from Portland by any chance?
What?
