I vote for Corbyn any time, the most decent, trustworthy gentleman. We need more member of parliament as honourable as Corbyn.
He is the only one left, politics is full of self interested, entitled ,awful people, who are in the pay of the rich.
Can i ask a question. Youre having local elections a week ago or so. Or maybe its in a week or so. But then youre voting for local representatives. And then theres a main election in 24 ..so im so ignorant of how your system works sorry...but then will everyone be able to vote for jeremy corbyn in a national election or something? Or will only the people in his area or region be able to vote for him still?
Or is it only labour members who vote for the prime minister?
But we won't get them, which is why we know parliament is in its death throes re. functioning democracy...
so the only voters that matter the 600k that decide the government utterly hate corbyn and love starmer so if you want rid of the COnn Starmer is right corbyn and project failure was utterly wrong. Yes we do indeed need to move the needle way more to the left but as the conn have pushed us to the far right center left is the best we can get. After that we can look to move more left. The rhetoric so many state here is simply if i can not have my left version of government i will not support anything else. This is in effect a vote for the current conservative government. It baffles me that people are unable to look at the bigger picture and the relaities of first past the post (yes we badly need PR)
I will always support Corbyn. He is real. l will not support this present so called labour!

Believe he had 2 shots at being PM. Failed twice. Last opportunity for him being PM was nearly 4 years/nearly an election cycle ago.
This is starting to get to Johnson level of fandom by wishing he was PM.
You need to realise the UK is a right wing country, and almost always has been. People need to accept that there's only a centrist and right wing way to get into Government in the UK for the time being. That's it. There are the only choices.
By the way, I come from a Scandinavian background (My Uncles a communist so I'm fully aware of hard left wing ideology)

Time for a new party which truly represents the working people unlike Starmer's big business gimp party.
Have a look into the Breakthrough Party.
I hear this so many times in DM comments about not wanting to vote Tory so someone suggests Reform Party.
Both sides of the political spectrum are far more in tune with each other then they'd like to want to admit.
👍🏾
I wish a real Conservative Party could come into power low tax low corporation tax controlling boarders to at least 200 000 per year legal and illegal . When it says 4 million children are living in poverty lack of food but most young parents could cook home made food maybe the government really need to do something about food company’s making processed food and say you need to cut out fat sugar salt I think it would be a great idea
Best bet for us on the left imo is the Green Party; they are already well established with a seat in parliament, many local councillors, and they are growing fast. Much easier to join them than start a new party

He’s always been a great Constituency MP - he’s got my vote.
Maybe, there was too much Clowning on a national basis while he was Labour's worst leader ever.

Jeremy s policy on NATO would have prevented Russia having to invade Ukraine to protect their national security -and so avoiding tens of thousands of lives.
@@ianoliver3130 Jeez...."...to protect their national security..." WTF...

How come Jeremy Corbyn was the most unpopular opposition leader in the history of British politics?
Well done to the Islington Labour Party 👏👏
It's not just young grassroots left leaning people who support Jeremy Corbyn and his political stance. I'm 72 and Jeremy Corbyn expresses exactly my sort of Socialism. I have many, many friends online of a similar age who support him too.
Indeed. But the movement needs more mascots they can wave at Starmer. Instead of everyone _just_ harping on about Corbyn, we need to find, promote and vote for all those leaders who will carry on the policies in the last manifesto. Join the left wing dots at grassroots and through the systems.
It's a vendetta by the Labour friends of Israel
I hope Corbyn joins a larger left-wing party so people can also vote for him outside of Islington North. Wouldn't that be great?

Get rid of Kiers Starmer - Only reason I would vote would be for JC.
Sir Keir Starmer is now a possible prime minister in waiting.
I seem to remember the labour party doing the same to Ken Livingstone. When he stood as independent and won they let him back in.
Yes. That was for the then brand new office of Mayor of London. Ken beat the official Labour candidate, Frank Dobson, who was humiliated by the result. Frank was a decent Labour man, who was another victim of the war criminal Blair.
They won't need to, he's not about to become the Mayor of London. Corbynism's dead, finished.
Jeremy Corbyn is hope- let hope live on.
Hope-less....
I think the absurd Mr Starmer is trying to show what a big, strong, ruthless leader he is. It is repugnant to me but it will impress some people. Now that this is clear I will donate the little I can spare to Corbyn's campaign.
He's made a scapegoat to try to pretend anti-Semitism was one man (when it wasn't even Corbyn who was anti-Semite).
Corbyn was a weak and spineless leader as well as a liability to the Labour Party.
This is great news and causes Starmer a serious problem. I expect the right wing on the Labour NEC will now push to appoint the Labour candidate themselves, rather than allowing the constituency party to select the candidate as is normally the case. Local Labour parties have never been particularly co-operative when a candidate is forced on them and if this happens I doubt whether the local activists will bother to turn out to canvass votes for the official candidate. If Corbyn stands as an independent he may well win the seat as he is hugely popular in his constituency. Corbyn's popularity may also be a stumbling block for any would-be official candidate, as no ambitious politician is going to want to be handed a very poisoned chalice. A huge problem for Starmer is looming ahead.
They won't even be trying to win. Labour would happily hand Islington North to the Tories if they could successfully split the vote and take Corbyn's career. Thankfully, that looks to be virtually impossible and he will simply win on whatever ticket he takes.
🍿 for watching Keir Stalin squirm
I don't think labour will put forward a candidate for Corbyn s seat. - would be suicidal.
@@ianoliver3130 I wish it would damage them, but it wouldn't. The big story the next morning would not be Starmer's failure to win Islington North, but the GE itself. Even if the media shone its brightest spotlight on that one seat, it would be a bad story coming at the best possible time for any government -- literally at the furthest possible moment from the next GE.
@@joechapman8208Not a problem for Starmer. The focus will be on the new Labour government. Jeremy will be relegated to the footnotes of political history and those members who canvassed on his behalf against the official Party candidate will be kicked out of the Labour Party... Win - Win...

Everyone vote for Jeremy.
At 83 years of age and having voted and worked for Labour all of my life I will now never again support Labour until Jeremy is readmited to the party !
You might want to add:
1. Starmer pledged democracy within Labour, specifically CLPs selecting candidates.
2. Corbyn was suspended for his EHRC response, widely misquoted and misinterpreted, immediately unanimously reinstated by the Labour NEC, then Starmer decided to withhold the whip anyhow, violating EHRC recommendation against leadership interference in disciplinary processes, and offending Forde’s sense of propriety recorded in the Forde Report published last year.
3. The reason Corbyn was banned from standing as a candidate in his own constituency, according to Starmer’s motion to the NEC, mentions *none* of the above, it simply says that it’s because his loss of the 2019 election makes him an electoral liability. Although Ed Miliband got fewer votes and still sits on Starmer’s front bench.
The Labour left MPs have been absolutely silent about the attacks on Corbyn and this has encouraged the right. As Tony Benn once said, the Labour Party is not a socialist party but a political party with some socialists in it.
@WOOF ! I am not convinced that this is a very well thought out strategy. I think the bottom line is that remaining as an MP is more important for them. Every time Corbyn and the left backs off it simply encourages the right to go for them. I personally think that Corbyn would be more effective standing as a socialist candidate and focusing on what is happening in workplaces and on campaigns.
Smarmer has the party locked down tight. They're frightened they're gonna love the whip!!!!!!

Corbyn is one of the best of us. I hate the way the media destroyed him. He was the hope for all of us. This country is fucked.
It wasn’t the media that destroyed hope; we should always expect a rough ride from the press. It was the internal shenanigans, bullying, stonewalling & malfeasance of the right wing within our party itself.
When they threaten to leave the party to join the lib dems or to start “change” “SDP”-style parties, as they always do if a true labour leader is in charge, they should be helped out the door without a qualm.
Yippee 😁 we need more like Jeremy in that house
I resigned from Labour the second Starmer became leader, it was on the principle he and Thornberry traveled here to Northern Ireland to stop Labour NI from standing in any election local or National.
I now know why, it was in case Labour took the Sinn Fein vote of left wing policies, that could have been 10 or possibly up to 18 MPs if JC was lucky.
If 2019 repeated 2017, a hung Parliament would have had any extra 10 MPs giving a full Labour Party majority.
