the sheer range of styles that wheein can dance in is absolutely crazy. it's like she knows no boundaries. she's so sharp and clean with her movements, it's kind of addicting to watch. oh and i forgot to add that she literally learned how to play the drums in the span of a few WEEKS like that. she picks up skills so fast
3 weeks to learn drums... crazy huh?
There is literally nothing she can't do. She's that annoying person in class who is just good at everything they try 😂

One day Wheein had the idea to play the drums at the concert so she went and learned how to. She wasn't sure it would work because she didn't have much time to learn but it's Wheein of course she nailed it.
Wheein is what we call a Kpop Ace. That type of human that manages to be great in everything they do. We call her backbone of Mamamoo too.
Wheein's move is very clean and smooth. She is such a great dancer and able to pick up choreography very fast.

"They're all aces" yes, yes they are! There's been some silly tw*tter discourse going around the past few days about what groups are composed of all aces, yadda yadda, and you've come to every Moomoo's conclusion : Not only can they all sing perfectly, all dance at a high level, and all rap, they can also all write - each of them has multiple writing credits (Byul may lead the charge on that front, but the others' numbers are nothing to scoff at either) and some composing ones too.
I guess both Wheein and Byul share the "main dancer" title in the group? These two are a menace when they start going off, even more so together. I've seen them dubbed "handsome line" with good reason lmao. Wheein's such an amazing dancer, she's so fluid like you said, and it's impossible to take your eyes off of her. The entire f/w concert is insane really, but each solo part is just... more insane lol. I hope you'll get around to watching all four, because they're really an incredible showcase of their personal talents! Drummer Whee is so damn cool 🤘

Wheein dance was always right on point, that’s why her dance always look cool. And she can dance every type of dance, just like her voice, versatile. And for her drum, she learn it weeks before the concert. Everything she learn is fast, genius. ❤. Mamamoo members very close with their staff, behind dancer, and fans, they truly have amazing personalities
She's such an underrated dancer. She moves so gracefully and yeah, same thoughts as she might as well be the main dancer of mmm (even if they don't have any official positions in the group). I think she's more flexible in doing and executing choreos for different types of genre and doing it so well that's why i consider her that. also, regardless of backup dancers, either male or female, she matches the energy needed for the choreo which is a huge thing (noticed this in one part of Trash mv/performance vid--more difficult choreo with male backups). various bigtime pro dance choreographers also took note of her skills (like lia kim, mina, etc.).
Lately she's been doing famous dance challenges from other kpop artists during her fansign events (IN the mood promotions) which is something very new as she doesn't do these stuff before. Fans are saying that wheein vocals should apologize to wheein dancer (coz it overshadows her other talent LOL fans are so hilarious too). And im so happy she's doing more performance/dance to show people why she's called the ace haha!
Not sure if you already did, but if not, you may want to check out the baby wheein singer/dancer in her Lay It Down cover (acoustic vocals + dance too). i'm not sure if they already debut during this time or this was still during their trainee days but you'll immediately notice that she's already an ace from way back hehe.
Also other notable dance vids from mmm are those with 1M studio.

Some people be mesmerized by Wheein’s honey vocals but do not be fooled coz she packs some moves in her arsenal, fun fact Moonbyul and Wheein have a dance practice video where they be showin some moves If I find it I will share the link for you to see
I'm neither a dancer nor a singer but my uninformed opinion is that Wheein is Mamamoo's best dancer and singer on a technique level. She's practically perfect at everything she does and she does a lot of different things. Wheein and Hwasa are very close to their dancers and of all the members Wheein is probably the one you're most likely to find in a dance studio in her spare time.
Wheein & Moonbyul are thought of as Mamamoo's dance line but I'm always surprised by how charismatic Solar & Hwasa are as dancers. Wheein is the one to watch if you want to know how a move is supposed to be executed but Solar and Hwasa are the ones my eyes gravitate to in performance. If you're worried about being visually molested then don't watch Solar's dance videos lol. I think Hwasa has put a lot work into her dancing in recent years and considering that she's supposed to be one of the weaker dancers in a group not known for their dancing skills it was extremely gratifying when she won the 2020 MAMA solo dance performance award for Maria, esp when the nominees included dance legend Taemin, who's on everyone's short list of best dancers in kpop. Imo Hwasa's dancing was even better the following year in I'm a B*t but she wasn't nominated for an award, probably because the song wasn't a hit.
You couldn't really tell from the fancam, but when she was playing drums for "runaway baby" at the end, the platform she was on had been lifted into the air and was being flown to the front of the stage... so she was drumming while flying
This was the last half of her 20 minute solo stage at the four seasons s/s concert. "Be like me" is the part cut out of the official concert video due to copyright and happened right after her "7 rings" cover (she dropped into the stage after the lights on their outfits came on to quick change, then popped back up to do the spray paint bit)
(Hwasa was the only member who didn't have a segment of their solo stage removed from the official vid due to copyright, soit may be worth finding fan recorded segments for solar and byul whenever you do watch the full concert, now that you've seen wheein's cut part)
Those dancers with wheein in her relay dance are with the just jerk dance crew, a professional dance troupe. All of her dancers for "water color" promotions were members of that, with some also being choreographers in their own right, working with various artists
Wheein was the first idol just jerk members worked with, back for "easy", when they weren't yet a household name, and both she worked with then have since become choreographers for 'big 3' agencies. While still always wanting to work with wheein, including choreographing and dancing for basically all her stuff since "water color" (some also appear in the "be like me" video you get to here, too)
Wheein learned to play the drums in a few months just for that concert.
She can also play piano and guitar 😊

Take in how when preparing for the 4s4c concert, Wheein was thinking about what to do for her 20 mins. She decided on the drums. She learned how to play the drums and this song in 3 WEEKS. The amount of rhythm she has, my goodness!! (We don't see it much, but we get another glimpse of drummer Wheein during HIP mv!)
The blue wheein fit is what Solar wears in the My Con concert when she does water color(Wheein wears the Solar yellow honey fit). Yeah wheein can dance, and paint and more lol wheein does everything. Please wheein get up off the floor, it is too early in the morning for that. She learned the drums for that performance. Before all of these songs was 7 rings which is about the sexiest choreo to that ariana grande song in existence. all 4 members can play instruments, you will occasionally see one of them credited with composition. tv shows, comedy by now you should know mamamoo does everything in entertainment, they are not just the best singers in the world.
That concert clip is why Wheein is the genius child.

The three dance videos were all choreographed by the same guy, who goes by baek0118 or xion0118 on social media. He was also dancing in two of them
He was (or is? I'm not sure, haven't seen him in more recent mamamoo performance stuff) one of the group's backup dancers and choreographers, often partnered with wheein when she needed a male dancer. He also was hwasa's boyfriend in her "twit" mv, and showed in the "hip" mv lewrning choreo from moonbyul (which is kind of funny, as he taught her that choreo, and also did her 'chair dance' for the mv, too)
12:56 Wheein is a very good dancer. Especially after her album In the Mood, she started to show off her dancing a little more. Recently, she started doing a lot of dance challenges. You can check out the challenges.
Yea they don’t have an official main dancer, or any main positions in general. But Moonbyul and Wheein are both in charge of ‘performance’, meaning dance. They have different dance styles and they’re both incredible dancers, but I think Wheein can be a bit more versatile with her dance styles and she picks up choreo the fastest of the members. So if we had to pick a min dancer, I’d say Wheein for those reasons. But Moonbyul would be main dancer material for any group for sure.
