    I had the pleasure of meeting Mike in Vegas and I was always a huge fan ... I spent about an hour w Mike but when I left there I was in awe of the person that he was ...he treated me like he has known me for years and we were old friends catching up ...he was asking me as many questions about myself as I was asking him..it was amazing to just sit there with him and just talk about everything and when I was leaving he gave me a big hug and said FRANK we will talk again soon....It always means more when someone calls you by your name that you told them at the start of the conversation...I may not get to meet Mike again but I will always have that good memory when I did....GOD BLESS Mike Tyson

      As usual. That's the main reason I stopped listening to this podcast. I like podcasts that are just casual conversations. They don't even need to be interviews, just convo. Joey just talks and talks. I love Joey and I want to watch him do standup again because he was one of the best comics I've ever seen perform live but I had to stop listening to the podcast because he rambles on every episode about stories from the 80s and cuts his guests off. And when he starts whispering, nah I just turn that shit off lol

      @@giggityeffyou the best ever Mike Tyson interview i saw was Norm MacDonald's got a podcast. I saw it on the UA-cam channel I'm not Norm... But by far the best interview ever. Norm does the voice of the pigeon on Mike Tyson's cartoon. The full video was taken down after norm got that Netflix deal... That's gone to hell now.... But in the interview it's clear that Norm and Mike love each other and have great energy together. I think Mike Tyson is a genuine human with a good heart.

      Glad with age (and DMT/THC) he's seeming to have found a happy place in his life.

    Damn. Mike touched on something I think about every day. From somewhere so obscure & unexpected....Joan Rivers' documentary. When the people closest to you pass away..you really do lose a part of yourself...a part of your own life. If you don't have the person that shared an experience with you...someone that's been with you for all of it...the friend that KNOWS it all...if you don't have that person who "remembers"...it can feel like all that history may as well have never happened. That's it. You won't ever talk about or reminisce on any of that. No one else knows what the fuck you're talking about. All of that stuff in your life is really over. I couldn't believe that of all people..Mike Tyson touched on the very thing that seered into my psyche from Joan Rivers' documentary...of all things. It fucked me up & it comes to my mind every day.

      Just different. Joe is obviously much more of a boxing and fighting fan than Joey is. All joey and Mike have in common is their age and the fact that they were old coke fiends. Tremendous podcast regardless.

    • @SexytimeNice
      @SexytimeNice 5 років тому +3

      Two different styles of podcasting. Both guys are great at interviewing without really interviewing. I think JRE was just as great, different content, different style, plus this is one of the first times I’ve heard Lee so involved. I love both of them and I cane compare them, especially when they aren’t competing

    From lowly criminals of the streets to "Ambassadors of God" as Joey put it.
    No matter what your past is like, you can look at these two and find so much hope and inspiration.
    Powerful.
