Do 40 gallon breeder next
Theres a snail in your sponge filter trapped at 1:15
Nvm just went threw the comments haha
If I want to put 1 small bluegill and some corie catfish in a 20 gallon, should I get a 20 long or 20 high?
Rip the mystery snail in the sponge filter at 1:19
He made it! A little dizzy, but he was ok. : -)
Bahahaha I noticed that too. He was having a heck of a time.
I love the 20 gallon long! I really enjoy your tank size videos
Thank you! : -)
Just got one. It's a little bigger than im comfortable with (200lbs), but can take some water out if heading out of town for a couple days. The 15 gallon just didnt look much bigger than the 10 the goldfish are in right now. 3 gallon to 10 and now a 20... theyre movin' on up like the Jeffersons...
I love 20 gallon longs. I personally have 8 in my fishroom. Keep up the good work :)
Such a great size!
This video came at the perfect time. I have been considering a 15g long for a corydora and betta tank. But right now the 15g are scarce, so now I'm looking at a 20g long. 😁
You are much cuter and much beautyfuller than corydora and betta tank. Wood you date Korea man? I only been in prison just once.
Nice job,I could listen to Professor Fish read filter assembly instructions and be entertained!
Haha - that's too funny!
I love my 20L! such a great size if you don’t have a ton of space, and the extra floor space is great for my cories!!
One of my favorite sizes!
I started with a 20 gallon tank(High). The only thing I like about this tank is that it is best for beginners, at least in my opinion. A 20 gallon tank is a tank that it's not so big or small.
I’m just getting back into the hobby after a decade long hiatus due to a disability, I already have two 20 longs and a 75g,,And I feel a serious case of MTS coming on.
The future looks good!
Love your channels content!
I started keeping fish in 1978
and would have to say this channel should be the “go to “ channel for anyone just getting into the hobby.
Thanks Professor for another informative video!
Great one guys, I've always loved 20 gallon tanks!!
Thank you!
Thanks for the info i have a 20 gallon in my bedroom. Its been sat up for 2 months only have one plant in it i haven't decided on what to put in it yet
I love the 20L. It's so easy to scape and maintain. It was great for dwarf emerald danios (they hang out almost exclusively at the bottom) and guppies, who have lots of scavenging area. I want to do a 20H some day.
Great video Jason! I have a 29 but the same tips apply.
I use a 20g as a quarantine tank and it fits great on my table.
Great video. I am a fan of the 20 long as a starter aqua scaping tank because it is shallow, so you do not have to have a powerful light to grow plants nicely.
Very true!
I have six 20 longs, one 20 high, and one standard 20. My fave is the 20 long. It's a really versatile tank.
They are my favorites too. : -)
i just finally upgraded from a 10 to a 20 gallon. I love it!
Nice - hope you enjoy it. :-)
Prime Time Aquatics Thank you! Now I just have to get a canopy for it lol
My 20L is probably my favorite tank. I’m growing out two batches of super red bristlenose in mine.
Another great video, I have 20 gallon, and it is really good size for me as a begginer, thank you for sharing that, I look at my aquarium a little closer, Thanx....🐡🐠🐟🐌🦐
Caught three brichardi at petco n I would have to agree with u, love they’re personality, they act just like my peacocks, thank u for the information i needed on them
Cool! Hope they work out great!
I have two 20-gallon high tanks on a Caitec TitanEze double stand. The top tank has 8 Beacon Tetras, 1 Bolivian Ram and 1 Ancistrus (Bristlenose Pleco). The lower tank has 10 Serpae Tetras and 1 Ancistrus.
Great video John. You and Lisa are the best.
Who?
Heheh
Wrong channel lol
@@antdog-oh4py oh I know :-)
The Goldielocks
3:07 Love that tank!
Thank you!
Triple those prices in Canada where i live !
That stinks!
Good video, the only 20 gallon I have left is an old school chrome rimmed tank and I love it.
Very cool!
Absolute treasure!! Does it have the black slate bottom? Even if it doesn't, you've got a collector's choice, especially if you've got the hood assembly too.
Cheers!
Great video as always! A shrimp breeder friend of mine uses 20gal long tanks. I am considering them for a aquarium rack in my garage. One day I hope I can make videos at your level!
Those are great for shrimp! Thanks for watching.
Thank for giving me an idea for my empty 20 gal just ordered 5 caudopunctaus
Very cool!
Great video
Very helpful video 🤓
Thank you!
I have a weird question. Weird because normally you would want the opposite!! Is there any way to stop cichlids from breeding? I mean, can you do something like keeping a certain water temperature or something? Could you make a video about it?
Interesting idea! Short answer - if they are in community tank often other fish will eat the fry over time. If they are in a species only tank sometimes I remove the females.
Oh my - I see less Caudopuncs! Jason I need some at the Swap tomorrow! For a 20g (for now till I set up another tank). I'm hoping you can pull out some super pretty ones for me (however many you think would be ok - pair or more? IDK) AND clear yellow mystery snails. Maybe 11-13 or so
I got you covered. : -)
@@PrimeTimeAquatics OMG yes!
@@PrimeTimeAquatics The 5 seem to be doing quite well - eating & exploring. They have ZERO fear of me.
Hey - IDK if they're born with this or it develops with time but I know the Males get a line of yellow at the edge of their tail. I don't see this with them and wondering if they're all girls? Or do you know if there's any boys in the group or what ratio? I can't believe I didn't ask that question :)
20 gallon high all day! longs just don't look "right " to me, idk lol
1:20 that poor snail 😅
Someone please rescue the snail at 1:14 ... poor Mr Shelly
He's in the sponge filter outflow pipe if you actually see this message but don't know what I'm on about.
I noticed him up there too! Lol Poor little dude! He will save him once he sees these comments. I hope it's not too late! Wonder how the heck he got in the uplift tube to begin with? Lol I would've thought with how fast the bubbles were flowing, it should've kept him from falling in. Poor little dude is prob going to have brain damage after that wild bubble ride!🤣 🐌
Thank you everyone for your concern about little snail man in the uplift tube. He's out, but not quite right in the head. Haha
@@PrimeTimeAquatics 😂😂 Glad he was rescued. Hopefully once his brain stops spinning, everything will be back to" normal." 🤪
Hi! So I just watched a couple of your plant guides and I was wondering if you could do a guide to red plants and/or advanced plants. I have lots of anubias, java sword, temple green, rotala, and a buce red mini that I’m propagating, but I really would like some red plants.
The only red plants I keep are the crypts. Many of the red plants require higher light, added iron and CO2. I don't have CO2, so the more advanced plants are out for me. : -(

Edit: thanks for the heart keep up the good work you have the best like dislike ratio on UA-cam!!!
I wish I had a 20L but mine came in a kit.
i have a 20 extra high 2 10s stacked on top of each other what it looks like very hard to clean
If I’m a beginner at salt water fish, should I get a 20 gallon? Or I’ve been told to get 36 gal or higher as it’s easier to maintain. But I just didn’t want to deal with Sumps.
I don't do saltwater, but the larger the volume the easier it is to maintain stable water parameters.
can you do a snail breeding video?
Like this? : -) ua-cam.com/video/gWWx2JU_JEo/v-deo.html
Actually what I really like to get is a 10 gallon high. I don't really think I need 20 gallons I've actually got a 5 gallon in my tank and they do just great I don't know why maybe cuz the fish are kept in drinking cups but when I bike guppies I've got like maybe six guppies in that tank and two female bettas and they do really well.
There's no kidnapping or anything like that no fighting for them it's completely massive since they were in a drinking cup or a very small tank when I bought them
I've got another set up like that where there's eight guppies in a male crowntail named big red he gets along with them really well and then I've got another tank with three little guppies I'm hoping to add a couple more cuz the tank is add a couple more cuz the tank is large cuz they're kind of small guppies and then I'm trying to find a female betta that would get along with them pretty well but I'm not sure how they would do I've been very fortunate to find really good females that like her fish
20g -Staple of fishkeeping.
Do you have only a sponge filter for beneficial bacteria? Just wanted to know it because even for a 10 gallon tank I need to add a top filter + hang on the back filter to complete the cycling.
Most of my tanks are just sponge filters.
@@PrimeTimeAquatics Thanks for replying.
Is there any aggression from a Cory cat and rasboras/ tetras
Not that I have ever seen.
@@PrimeTimeAquaticsThank you, ( I am looking it put them all in a tank together you see)
Any light recommendations for 20 gallon tall y’all???
I like the Finnex Stingray II and even the 24" beamswork work well.
I will get a 20 gallon long
I think you will like it!
Could you please tell me the dimensions of these 20 g longs you guys buy in the US. As I’ve mentioned I’m considering getting a custom 100 cm long x 30 tall x 26 wide tank made...it works out to be approx 78 litres, roughly 20 g ....
The 20 longs here are 30 x 12.5 x 12.75 inches.
Prime Time Aquatics thankyou so much...a lil wider n taller than what I’m considering. I’m assuming ur 12 gallon longs over there are similar width n height also. I luv the look of a long scape, not that I’m any good at scraping. I’m artistic in other ways but aquascaping is a diff story, plus all you experts have the nicest wood, rocks and plants to add the most visual aesthetics ....luv your videos, shame I don’t live in the US
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I have 3 goldfish in a 20 long and they are very happy I’m so sick of people saying they need more tank they really don’t just take care of your water
It's not so much water quality as it is full grown size. Comet goldfish (common goldfish) can easily reach 12". Fancy goldfish can get to almost the size of a baseball when they aren't stunted from being in a tank that is too small. I have five fancy goldfish in a 75 gallon, but may have to move them to a larger tank at some point.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie łapka w górę
Hiii Jason. I got a question. How many gallons are 60cm x 30cm x 30cm
I believe it's about 14 gallons.
@@PrimeTimeAquaticsoh. thanks alot for yr help
If youre going to get a 20 long you may aswell get a 29 gallon.
im planning to buy a 20 gallon from someone whos making tanks and its just $11 in your money (im from philippines), i also know someone whos selling hes 2og 2nd hand tankfor $9 .
