I am coming to Japan for my first time next month. I travel with a backpack only (minimalist) but I think I want to buy a lot of items from Japan to take back home for friends, family, & myself.
Where can I buy a cheap suitcase? Also I really want to buy good stationary. What are Japans best pens and notepads? Or should I ask what is Japans best stationary store?

Hey @jaymeez happy to hear you are coming over to Japan. If you are looking for the cheapest suitcases, I would suggest Don Quijote as the place to start. As for stationeries, Hands has a massive collection and they are high quality. I would also suggest Don Quijote too if you are into the cute or silly designs. However, don't count out the 100yen stores as they carry really good stationeries too and of course the prices are very favorable. Go for the big ones that as they would have a better collection of goods. Seria and Daiso would be my suggestions. Hope this is helpful and all the best.

@@japanverseexclusive I’ll check out Don Quijote. Do they sell those lunch boxes/coolers that have the blue packs of gel that you freeze in order to keep your lunch cool? I hope so because that would be one way I could bring back some stuff from the conbini to share with my family who couldn’t come

The summer is coming up so you'll be able to find those cooler packs very easily. Most major stores will have them, including Don Quijote. Keep in mind, depending oh where you are from, there might be restrictions on food items you'll be able to leave with. For example, a friend visited from America last summer and we went to the Cup noodle museum and made custom ramen, however she wasn't able to leave with hers because it had beef in it. So be sure to check those things before packing.
