Here's another video you guys requested! Make sure to stay tuned for Tokyu Hands Part 2 where I'll share my general top 10 items!!! Let me know if you prefer the usual voiceover format or this sit down/chatting format more, and leave me your video requests as usual! ੭व(๑• .̫ •๑) ✧
sorry to be so offtopic but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot the account password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
Your channel's great. No trivial BS like most Jvlogs. Just great information and helpful tips. Thanks for uploading these vids. My wife and I will use these when we plan out trip to Japan... someday 🤞🏼.
You are seriously my favourite UA-camr right now. I especially love and appreciate your Top 10 videos because everything is just on point, no nonsense and fun too. I don't know if you're big on fashion but I would really love it if you did a top 10 fashion items in a Japanese clothing store or something. I would also really appreciate a stationery-focused top 10 video simply because I love Japanese stationery. Hehe. I'M SO EXCITED FOR THE PART 2 OF THIS VIDEO.
This is a very informative video along with her other videos, she is very concise and clear about what she is trying to share with People. I prefer her to alot of other Japanese guides keep it up, i love your videos Many Thanks. Please do more on Discounted stays in Japan and Tokyo.
Ahhh i want that Totoro fan! The happymix cup is cool! (literally... lol) The band for hat is useful. And the whitening products... Wish I'm in Japan now to grab all these! Love your videos, always short and sweet but informative!
I newly subscribed to your channel because of the wealth of information you provide on each of your vlogs. I am traveling to Japan for the first time this April and I’m getting more excited as I know better what to expect, what items to buy (skin care!) and many more. Thank you very much and keep doing what you’re doing! 👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻🥰
Never been this early to your videos and I'm absolutely obsessed with your video series! They are so informative and are different from other Japanese youtube videos. It makes me so excited for my study abroad trip next year! Maybe I'll see you one day~ hehehe Much love from sunny California!
Thanks for your videos, i'm traveling in january to Japan so they are really helpful 💕 i hope you keep doing videos like this so you can make a winter edition 😄
can u also do a video on a tips and tricks on living in Tokyo.. Example: renting, property agency, the rent, bills, banks, jobs, trash sorting, etc (how to's)... that'd be so helpful!
I'm going to Tokyo this week and your videos are super informative and fun to watch! I feel more confident knowing where to go and what to do! Thanks a billion 💗
I love the UV umbrellas!!!! My husband went back home to his family's home recently and brought me back one :3! My super pinky pale skin thanks him lol. It's more comfortable and stylish then wearing a hat all the time and I can protect my back, chest and shoulders too! Definitely recommend it!
Hats are cute and all but it only protects half of my face lol! Plus the umbrella DEFINITELY keeps me cooler since it creates a decent amount of shade. Sometimes I touch the umbrella after using and it's HOT haha!
Wow the UV alert bracelets are so cool! I love your videos because they are much more domestic in topic than the other japan youtubers. Don't get me wrong, I love their videos too because there is always something new, but your videos are the more everyday handy dandy tips.👍🏽👍🏽 two left thumbs up!!
I love your videos, and this makes no exception! It's amazing how you have so many products in japan, that i've never seen in my life (i'm canadian) super interesting, thank you for taking the time, i love this :)
Thank you so much!! I've been waiting for this video! I've actually never been to a Tokyu Hands. I'll have to see if there's one near me, and if not, I'll definitely check one out the next time I'm in Tokyo! My personal summer must haves are 熱さまシート, which I just stick on my forehead at bedtime on really hot nights, and a cooling gel pillow that you keep in the freezer during the day. I prefer to keep mine near my feet or next to me rather than as a pillow, but it really helps a lot on those hot summer nights!
Oh yeah I know what you are talking about. I think that's extremely popular for when kids get fevers, never tried it myself but have gotten it for my family before haha. Careful when you go to Tokyu Hands for the first time, you may spend the entire day in there lol!
I'm in Tokyo right now and i never expected to be taken out by the heat because it gets hotter than this in Aus but the humidity is soooooo bad. This video is really helpful.
Hi Yu, I love your videos so informative about what to buy in japan! Can you do a video about the top ten over the counter medication that are popular to buy in japan?
I have shared some really good medicine in my Don Quijote top 10 video. A bit hesitant to "recommend" medication since I'm not a health professional and somebody already complained that I shouldn't share and recommend meds lol maybe I should have put a disclaimer in that video first haha
Oh I agree 100%! What I like to do (because I'm lazy) is take the elevator to the top floor and make my way down. My friends got mad at me because we all started at the top, but by the time they made it from the top floor to the bottom and I was still only on one of the 5th floors hahaha ... they don't understand me, only you do!!! ;)
Haha hey they are the weird ones, you and me we are normal! That's what you gotta do in Tokyu Hands lol spend all your time and money and wish you could camp in there
This is the only channel I subscribed on UA-cam so far. Love your videos. Those are Very informative, clear & useful. Thank you so much & waiting for more. 👍🏻😃
i wish i saw this video before i traveled to japan...the most fantastic thing " Frozen treats maker " i like your video and the teddy bears behind you .....thanks for writing the price for each items it is very important...really i enjoyed watching this video thank you for this
Thank you for the super informative video! I'd totally buy most (if not all) things you mentioned. Would love to see you upload the winter must haves version later this year. Also, I discovered you through your apartment hunt videos last year. Would you mind making a video about tips for finding apartment in Tokyo/what I should look for when finding apartments there (for example, I heard the insulation in most apartments are bad etc). Thanks!
Haha seems like a winter edition is requested by many people! I'll keep it in mind for when winter comes~ Yes insulation is horrible here.. although I feel like that's a common problem in Asia. I'm used to Canadian houses that have really good insulation which is necessary for -40 degree weather.. I noted your suggestion for future videos!!! Thank you!
Great stuff! I just always find skin whitening products funny. I'm naturally very pale, and always trying to get a tan. But where I live, being brown is considered healthy. With my pale skin they always ask me if I'm okay and don't feel like fainting.
Maybe click on the bell next to the sub button which will send you notification but I do feel like UA-cam was behaving a bit weirdly in the past few weeks.. Hopefully you won't miss anything!
Your videos are great, and so informative! This summer must-haves episode is really useful, as I saw many products in Japan, but didn't realize their potential or use. If you feel there are enough other functional products (clothing or otherwise) people might miss out on, please make another video! :-)
Japan is amazing. They literally have everything my country doesn't. And to think that it's sunny here EVERYday... Man we honestly need these products more than Japan does. 😂😂
KYAAAAAA another awesome video! I might have just binge watched your recent uploads xD Thanks for doing this vid for Tokyu Hands! I Prob mentioned this before, but i lived right in Shinjuku during my trip in Japan and didn't go to this store! Much regrets T_T My mom would have loved all the UV gadgets! She was looking for the uv sleeves and umbrella. Those sleeves work really well for driving but the ones we have dont come with the cooling effect. And if I'm not mistaken, this store also carries craft supplies which is like heaven for me xD but next time!! I def will make a trip there with ur handy list of items to buy ^^
Hi YuYu! You just blew my mind. I haven't been to TokyoHands yet and after hearing about all these cool products it's a must visit when I go back later this year. I'm extremely pale so UV and sunlight destroy me. I look like a tomato in the summer. I could never find some of these products in the Bay. I'm about to stock up when I'm there. And the fan as a postcard ideal is a spectacular ideal. Though I have to figure out the post office system in Japan for shipping cards and boxes lol. Unless you have a how to video coming up hehe
You have to check out Tokyu Hands! They have so much cool stuff, I can spend entire days in there just browsing. Shipping things isn't too hard, you can get stamps from post office and their vending machines and convenience stores. Also if you go to post office of touristy areas, they can understand English. I shipped an express package to Canada not long ago and had no problem! But you still gave me a video idea lol will keep in mind for the future
Please do a top 10 video for Loft, it's one of my favorite store when I go to Japan, and I can easily spend an hour or two there just browsing the store. :)
I've noticed that products in Japan change by season, but are usually about the same for the same season of different years, so you'll find about the same things as mentioned in this video. Otherwise check out my monthly faves, those are a good way for me to introduce good new items without having to do a theme-specific video :)
@@TokiYuYu Are umbrella still popular bc from what I've seen in some Japan vlogs they are quite rare? Might also been the area that was filmed. So I am curious. And do Japanese get enough Vitamin D with all the whole cover up?
oh, i'm all about the arm cover ! do you know what material it's made of ? never heard of cooling textiles before .. but i live in Germany & it usually takes some time for the fun stuff to make to our stores ... :)
It says the material is Polyester/polyurethane. It feels slightly cooling to the touch without doing anything to it, but after you put in water, it feels cool for many hours
thank you for showing amazing place and products! cant wait to get some of them for my mum during my first time visit in tokyo this Sep :) just a little request if you dont mind, it would be great if there is a bit of clue about prices when the products were shown so that people who travel on budget may plan ahead accordingly :) or perhaps give us a chance to see the price tickets on the shelves when filming? so that we get a general idea about the price range or roughly how much they may cost. Cheers!
awesome! thank you!! will definately consider buying the whitening products (includ. serum) for my Chinese mum. She has some dark spots on her facial skin for years...would u recommend anything else? thank u!
Extremely helpful videos. Just wanted to say that many merchants and businesses all over big cities like Tokyo and Osaka give away free fans with business logos. But again it defines they are selling a cheap why not buy them? I got a whole bunch of these corporate free fans from our recent trip to Japan
Haha yes I love the free fans! But I can't resist buying the mini one from Tokyo Hands cuz of Totoro and other cute designs! Plus the ones you buy have nicer patterns without an ad on it so it makes a better souvenir lol :P
Hi. Would just want to ask if you could recommend an online site I could use to buy some of the skin care stuff you have reviewed. I don't live in Japan and the site would have to ship abroad. Thanks much.
Where do you live? If you are in the US, you can use Amazon actually, the price isn't too bad. Also Ebay is always good, but make sure you buy from a good seller with lots of reviews since there can be fakes. As for Tokyu Hands, in my next video about it, I'll talk about how to buy things from Tokyu Hands online! So stay tuned~
I wasn't aware that there are fake items. Good to know. I am staying in Manila so I'll have to have it shipped here. Am also looking into having my friends ship it to me if all else fails.
Very useful tips as usual, Tokiyuyu! I wonder though, since I'll be landing in Osaka first, can I find Tokyu Hands stores in Osaka (even better if it's near Dotonbori area)? If not, can you please advise which stores have most of the items you mentioned in the vid? Thanks!
Yes, there are Tokyu Hands stores everywhere in Japan. There's one near Dotonbori which is their Tokyu Hands Shinsaibashi branch. I've never been to that location personally but from what I can see, it seems like a big branch which should be pretty well stocked. However, do be careful that the items mentioned in this video are summer specific items. Although many of them will be available, they may be in areas and aisles not as obvious as shown in this video, so you might need to ask for help looking for them.
Another awesome video! I love Tokyu Hands! I could spend hours in there just browsing! I will try to look for that little skin care kit next time I'm there! Thanks!
For Tokyu Hands, I'll talk about something in my next video on how to buy from their online store outside of Japan. For other things in general, you can use Ebay. Not sure how Amazon is in Australia but that's what I used to use a lot in the US.
Most of these things are actually used by men! Also, the things I show may seem to be for girls, but there are always versions for both girls and guys (pretty much all these items offer more masculine designs and patterns), I just show the one I have - and since I'm a girl, I show the girly ones more :P
Yu, do they change all their range and not sell any summer products during winter? I plan to come during autumn but want to get some uv products in japan
Some of these items are available, but not as easy to find and may be in different sections. I recommend you have pictures of the items and ask store clerks for help - many of them speak English in Tokyo stores
hello. i really want to buy the frozen treats maker from your video. can i know which section in store that im suppose to look at when i visit the store? i will be fly to japan this october and hope i can bring this home with me from this trip. i enjoy watching your video because i get to know a lot of interesting stuff in japan and put aside my budget to buy it. thanks for your help in advance. have a great day. ^_^
In my experience, usually August has sales for the summer stuff and March has sales for the winter stuff, but you can honestly find sales all year long randomly. Many brands usually have a sale section.
super informative video! actually gonna head to tokyu hands soon to pick some of these up... tokyo summer has been unbearable lol also all the dolls behind you you got them from ufo machine??
Hahaha, the ones I have next to me I bought at Kiddyland, but the big ones way in the back are from ufo machines Omg I'm having so much trouble with summer here, I NEED these things in order to get through it and able to go outside lol
The fan is 500yen, can it be sent to australia at the store or at post office? Is the price including postage? I like ur idea of sending the fan to friends as gifts instead of postcards 😊
Postage is not included but international stamp isn't too expensive for letter size, I think maybe around 100Yen? You can buy stamps at the post office or convenience stores I think, and either post it at the post office or put in any red post boxes you see on the street. I think it's an awesome substitute for postcards!
sounds easy! I will take the fan to post office or convenience store for paying postage then. hopefully they will be able to understand English "I want to post this to Australia, and how much is the postage pls?" Perhaps, I should get the Japanese for this sentence written on a piece of paper so i can show them. I know it is not fair to expect people to understand English when travelling in a non-English speaking country :)
As long as you go to a branch that's in the touristy areas of Tokyo, you'll be fine. You can just say mail to Australia and they should understand. I mailed a package express to Canada the other day and they understood perfectly fine!
Hmm sometimes it is, but it depends. Also they have many things I can't buy elsewhere (unless I really go hunt them down and do lots of research), so sometimes I don't really get other choices. Also even though price might be cheaper elsewhere, the transportation cost and time it takes to go find the cheaper option may not be worth the difference. They do have a huge range of products though, from affordable to really high end (and some gimmicky things too), so it definitely takes time to find the gems!
It's the video I'm editing now, so will be up in a day or two. Winter will last for another 1.5months here in Japan and if you in Canada or Korea, winter won't end until May... I definitely don't miss that about Canada... lol
The Sakura one is 4000Yen I think, those Japan-themed ones are more expensive than others probably because it's made in Japan whereas I think many of them are made in Thailand or Malaysia usually
OH WOW more than 100USD! Maybe I should open a side business lol yeah considering the quality and how much you can use it, 4000Yen is definitely a fair price! The one I have is even cheaper for around 25USD!
Some are available but they may be moved to a different section or area and may not be in stock as much. I recommend you save a picture of the items and show to the workers at the store - many of them speak English and can help you find it
I think some of these are, but they may not be right at the door compared to in the summer, so you may need a bit of help hunting them down. I would advice having pictures of the item and show to the store clerk, many of them speak English in Tokyo stores
Hi! As a person going to japan this May your videos are very helpful. But if possible [you're not obligated to agree haha] could you perhaps include the estimated price for the items? Thank you :D
I like the sit down format, it feels more casual
I like this format, it looks like your just do a video call with friends, not doing vlog.
TokiYuYu is tis store available in dotonbori area?
sorry to be so offtopic but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account??
I will keep it in mind for future videos! Thanks for your suggestion!! ⊂((・▽・))⊃
I agree, Fashion would be great! :)
I feel like I could spend all my money just in one of these stores. Japanese stores are so full of things you dont need but really, really want!
Haha I know right? It's hard to save money in Japan!
Japan really does have it all. I really want that scarf to keep cool and the UV protection clothing is really helpful.
This is a very informative video along with her other videos, she is very concise and clear about what she is trying to share with People. I prefer her to alot of other Japanese guides keep it up, i love your videos Many Thanks. Please do more on Discounted stays in Japan and Tokyo.
Many cute things in Japan... I probably will be a hoarder if I live in there :D
I gotta tell you - it's hard not to buy things every time I go out lol
TokiYuYu yes, I'll have the same problem for sure 😁
I’m glad you explained the uses for the skin “whitening “ products, as a proud brown girl I normally steer clear of any product labeled way.
Australia could really use some of these products! Summer here gets really hot
You should make a video about how you keep such beautiful brighter skin!
I'm loving these videos, even if just for the nostalgia, but I think it's def good to familiarize visitors with shops like this one.
Ahhh i want that Totoro fan! The happymix cup is cool! (literally... lol) The band for hat is useful. And the whitening products...
Wish I'm in Japan now to grab all these!

Yeah! gotta beat the summer heat! Thanks for another great video, always helpful and greatly appreciated! Can't wait to see part two.

That UV protection scarf/shawl is so cute and exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for all the great suggestions :)
Yes yes yes! Thank you thank you thank you! I'm coming to Tokyo next week and I am so excited!
Have fun!

these UV clothes look so useful
I've never seen or heard of this store. Gotta check it out when I come to Japan. I've been to Bic Camera in Osaka, it was pretty huge too.
I just went into the Shibuya store yesterday and found a leather strap that I've been searching for forever! They have everything!!!
Oh, and I'm getting the ice cream cup FOR SURE on my next trip haha
I can spend DAYS in Tokyu Hands lol they have SO much stuff!!!

Totally 😎 video tx for the great info & tha details 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I love your top 10 videos !!!
Great reviews 😊 👍🏼
Please can you let me know yr lip colour n where to get that from?
Good tips and a very cute blogger! Thanks!
If I ever manage to get in any of these big Japanese stores you cover, I’m probably going to be broke afterwards. 😂
love your video very helpful information
Do you have a video for spring must have?
Not yet but now you've given me a great video idea :D Maybe I'll complete musthaves for all 4 seasons! haha
oh, i'm all about the arm cover ! do you know what material it's made of ? never heard of cooling textiles before .. but i live in Germany & it usually takes some time for the fun stuff to make to our stores ... :)
It says the material is Polyester/polyurethane. It feels slightly cooling to the touch without doing anything to it, but after you put in water, it feels cool for many hours
that scarv and the head band makes me curious... over here in Germany this week is gonna be a 35°C week.... :(
thank you for showing amazing place and products! cant wait to get some of them for my mum during my first time visit in tokyo this Sep :) just a little request if you dont mind, it would be great if there is a bit of clue about prices when the products were shown so that people who travel on budget may plan ahead accordingly :) or perhaps give us a chance to see the price tickets on the shelves when filming? so that we get a general idea about the price range or roughly how much they may cost. Cheers!
I will add the prices in the description box from now on. Thanks for you guys' suggestion!!!
thank u!
Price added :) I only mostly put the prices for the items I actually showed since the price range can be big for certain things.
TokiYuYu awesome Yu x
awesome! thank you!! will definately consider buying the whitening products (includ. serum) for my Chinese mum.
Plus the ones you buy have nicer patterns without an ad on it so it makes a better souvenir lol :P
agree!! one thing i really miss buying were the fancy "flat" umbrellas. No more luggage room. It means there's a reason to go back.
Cool! Thanks for the tips 😀
Another awesome video! I love Tokyu Hands! I could spend hours in there just browsing! I will try to look for that little skin care kit next time I'm there! Thanks!
I wish we had these products in Canada 👍🏼
Hello Tokiyuyu,
I'm from Australia . I want to know whether it's possible for me to buy the products you mentioned and get it delivered to Australia ?
For Tokyu Hands, I'll talk about something in my next video on how to buy from their online store outside of Japan. For other things in general, you can use Ebay. Not sure how Amazon is in Australia but that's what I used to use a lot in the US.
Can you do a video on new product releases for the summer / fall. 新作コスメの動画を見って見たいです。
love your videos!!! but can you show us some guy accessories or other things once in awhile???
Do they have End of Season sale in Tokyo Malls? If there is, what month is it. So if we want to go for just shopping. Or they just sale randomly?
In my experience, usually August has sales for the summer stuff and March has sales for the winter stuff, but you can honestly find sales all year long randomly. Many brands usually have a sale section.
super informative video! actually gonna head to tokyu hands soon to pick some of these up... tokyo summer has been unbearable lol
also all the dolls behind you you got them from ufo machine??
Hahaha, the ones I have next to me I bought at Kiddyland, but the big ones way in the back are from ufo machines
Omg I'm having so much trouble with summer here, I NEED these things in order to get through it and able to go outside lol
I mailed a package express to Canada the other day and they understood perfectly fine!
cool bananas :)
I went there couple of time, do you think, stuffs in there pricier than other mall? I feel like they are.
I went to the one near Shinjuku Station. I love the super market down in basement. Very spacious and they truly have almost everything.
I can spend an ENTIRE day in there for sure!
Can you do a winter musthaves?
I will!!! I'm still waiting for the winter stuff to come out more! Probably some time in December!
TokiYuYu Looking forward to your winter must-haves!!! 😊
Don't think that video is coming anymore. I don't know about where you live but here winter is almost over :p
Daphne Shashin Aww, I was hoping that she was just amassing material during the season.
It's the video I'm editing now, so will be up in a day or two. Winter will last for another 1.5months here in Japan and if you in Canada or Korea, winter won't end until May... I definitely don't miss that about Canada... lol
i love your videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ow.. i want the UV/heat gadgets :3
Love your video
HI HOW MUUCH IS THE SKIN WHITNING For the face coast please bye the way this is TINA
can you sign one of those mini fan and send me one...that would be so cool...🤗
The prices in Tokyo Hands are sky high here in Singapore.
I had no idea Tokyu Hands is in Singapore!
TokiYuYu Tokyo hands came to SG in 2014. There are 3 stores in SG thus far. :)
Those Sakura thermos are so beautiful, how expensive are they? D:
The Sakura one is 4000Yen I think, those Japan-themed ones are more expensive than others probably because it's made in Japan whereas I think many of them are made in Thailand or Malaysia usually
TokiYuYu Thank you for replying 💕. I have seen them for more than 100 USD on eBay haha. 4000 yen is not too bad though.
OH WOW more than 100USD! Maybe I should open a side business lol yeah considering the quality and how much you can use it, 4000Yen is definitely a fair price! The one I have is even cheaper for around 25USD!
This items are available Also in autumn ?
Some are available but they may be moved to a different section or area and may not be in stock as much. I recommend you save a picture of the items and show to the workers at the store - many of them speak English and can help you find it
Sub.to your channel.Very informative and useful channel for my coming jpn trip! Keep up the good work..
Thank you 😊
Subscribed!👍
Does this store sell these items in November?
I think some of these are, but they may not be right at the door compared to in the summer, so you may need a bit of help hunting them down. I would advice having pictures of the item and show to the store clerk, many of them speak English in Tokyo stores
TokiYuYu thank you for your rely! I love your videos!
Hi! As a person going to japan this May your videos are very helpful. But if possible [you're not obligated to agree haha] could you perhaps include the estimated price for the items? Thank you :D
Michelle Ho please check the description box. I almost always include the price whenever I can
@@TokiYuYu whoops my bad! Thank you for pointing it out 😅
