Le Um everything he's done to it won't drain your bank account at all. Probably like 1100 total including the tires. Not expensive at all as far as car mods go.

@@greenx7527 My husband works down a muddy dirt road so she will be more off road-ish then on. She is currently at the mechanic's for a complete inspection and to make sure everything is 100% before I start playing with her.
I love those brick backing lights in the bumper. Did Ur Xterra come with that little rubber mat on the bumper or did U grab/make that somewhere?
I'm looking at clear lenses to replace the headlights but am kinda disappointed that I cant find the turn markers to replace the old ones with. Ours are foggy and might be cracked. :/ Any ideas?
LydieCakes the rubber top came on the bumper. Best bet would be to snag one from a junkyard if you want one. If you have plans to get an aftermarket bumper I wouldn’t worry about it. I installed the lights in the bumper, one if the best mods I’ve done, I use them all the time to back up. If you’re going to be upgrading headlights I’d suggest retrofitting projectors. I have a tutorial on how if you want to check it out!

@@greenx7527 maybe some suspension upgrades and bolt ons for the exterior . Standard maintenance tips . Thanks for the tip on changing the horn my wife said the original horn sounded like a lil car not a truck.
Paint, decals, twine wrapped around the steering wheel, stereo, dome lights converted to LED, modified air intake that doesn't help power or MPG but sounds good. Got it.

Nice xterra bud! Planning to get pathy wheels for my xterra also. By any chance do u know if those 17s fit without the spacers? I'm sure the rear wheels will fit but not sure about the front wheels since the automatic hubs would be on the way. If you can confirm that information I will appreciate it.
Paulo CRXTERRA91 hey man, so the guy I bought these wheels from said he had to get the spacers in order for the wheels to clear the hubs. Now whether or not you need spacers as big as mine I’m not sure. If I remember correctly I think mine are 1.5” spacers. Hope this helps👍🏼❎

Do you change the wheel patern?
you need to regear to the 4.90 gears they started using in 2001. That'll get you back to the way they intended it to function not to mention it'll get your speedo in check. You've probably got the 4.64 Gears. You've gone up in tire size so need to put some lower gears in there.

nice xterra. ive got an 02 supercharged 4x4 that is on 32s with 15" rims 3" lift and a leveler kit. same exact color. it was set up this way when i bought it and i love it

oseas cruz the stereo and head unit were already in the car when I got it so I’m not sure where they came from. You could try bestbuy or maybe crutchfield online
What length is the yakima cargo rack you've got on top? I'm looking for one and I'm not sure what size I should get
Jacob Dyer I'm not sure of the length, it's short; probably standard size
Just a heads up, car amps are built so that the circuit board is on the 'roof' of the amp so any loose parts do not fall onto the board and short it out. I suggest you place it right side up
Also, the heat sink dissipates heat out. You are trapping the heat with the Amp upside down, making much more likely to overheat

CrudeGaming it depends. A first generation xterra isn't too much, you can find them for around $3500, all of the modifications (lights, lift, wheels, tires, plasti dip, headlights, rack, etc.) probably total about $1500.

This is a great setup you have goin on. I have a 2004 Xterra and I plan to do the pods as well. Did you just wire them like you would for a lightbar?
Yeah they are wired similar to a lightbar. The only difference is that they tie into one pair of wires that runs to the battery!
Oh I gotcha thanks. Are you thinking about putting a light bar on the roof? I'll have a video of mine when I'm done with all my mods on it.
I have a lightbar on it now! Going to be making an update video as soon as the weather clears up.

The thing about spacers is it just doesn't make much sense when you could get the correct rims with the offset you want

Im curious how bright they are. I live in rural MT and the stock heads lights suck. Haven't seen many options for upgrading. Also curious about the fogs in the front. any help and advice is awesome.
nate barnett thank you! They’re pretty bright, I have the 5000k HID bulbs in them. If you do some googling you can find some decent output pictures. The fog lights worked well too, I have since switched bumpers and am no longer running the fogs but they worked great for the price. If you haven’t already, check out my build video on my headlights, I hope it helps!

nate barnett for the housing just make sure the build quality isn’t terrible but you want ones with clear lenses not ones that have the lenses with all the different things on them that help disperse light

Sloan Segars I took off the two plastic pieces that they’re bolted into and drilled some holes. If I remember correctly I think you have to remove the wiper blades as well
The halo lights, did you drill a hole for the wire?
Bill Gutman I was able to fit it in where the lightbulb fits but it could be different depending on what type of headlight housing you have
Have you done any suspension upgrade to the vehicle?
New Life Living larger shackles in the rear and turned the torsion bars for the front. Look up PML for first gen xterra if you’re interested👍🏼

With that being said, did you have issues with alignment?
N S I took it in to get aligned after I did everything and they were able to get it close but it’s not perfect. If you want to do it right I would suggest getting aftermarket UCAs with modified geometry to help get a better alignment.
What wheel spacers are you using?
Matt Parker I don’t remember, I got them from the guy I bought my wheels from. They’re 2” hub centric I think but I don’t remember what brand or where he got them.
As you can see here, this is what an Xterra that’s made of 70% Amazon parts and 30% plastidip looks like 🤙🏼
I know this might be ignorant but I'm new to this , do bigger wheels waste more gas?
Eric Perez larger wheels, create more rolling resistance due to their larger diameter and also possibly heavier weight. This makes the engine work harder to turn them which causes fuel economy to drop. However the amount it drops really depends, I’ve had these wheels on for a few years and been getting about 13 mpg with about 90% city driving. Hope this helps

Aey Phan for the most part everything has been good, it has started to leak coolant recently and therefore start to overheat occasionally so I’m working on figuring that out now, but for the most part everything’s solid

Topshelf Junior currently got 220k on it and I do still have it! I’m getting ready to do the head gasket along with water pump and timing belt, etc. I know a few people who have over 300k on theirs. They’re great trucks!

Want it bad, for a second vehicle, especially to carry my bike + dirtbike.. Just don't know much about em. I trust your vouch for sure !

Hey pal! Great video!! Any chance you could message me some details about the fog light led conversion steps for install?
New Life Living so basically all I did was drill two holes in the bumper above where the lights are and used those holes to mount the lights in the bumper, then used the existing wiring from the factory fog lights and wires them in. Super easy to do and well worth it!
Green X not having any experience with electrical and wiring, yet I’m super ambitions about this upgrade. When you mentioned wired them in does that mean you spliced several different colored wires from the fog light factory wires, to the corresponding after market niilight?
New Life Living yeah, so basically there were two wires that ran to the factory light, and two wires that come out of the nilight pods. I just matched colors and boom.
Green X Wow super easy. Thanks man. Would you recommend any extra steps if these are going to be run all through the Winter in Maine? AND I didn’t see it in your video but do you have any info on led license plate bulbs/ conversion info?
New Life Living as far as surviving a Maine winter I might use some silicone around the lenses to help keep water out and maybe use stainless mounting hardware to help combat the rust from salt. As far as plate bulbs, just determine what kind of bulb you need and find an LED version of that bulb then it should be just plug and play.👍🏼

Speedy 1995 it's a PML(poor mans lift) which gives about 1-1.5" of suspension lift

What did U use to paint the bumper?
Mr. Hospitality if I remember correctly I think I just used some rustoleum paint that bonds to plastic. The most important part of any paint job is prep. I’ve heard a lot of people like to use rustoleum spray on Bedliner
@@greenx7527 Awesome man, my 03 Xterra is white with grey trim. I like the green color. I'm still debating on what color to repaint it. My favorite color is gray but I do like white vehicles. We'll see what I end up doing. There's a lot of cool looking grey colors out right now.
Mr. Hospitality right on! I always think a really clean white build with all black accents looks good, kind of that “stormtrooper” look. But for Gray I like the Audi gray I think it’s called nardo gray or Ford has a good one I think avalanche gray

Mr. Hospitality yeah it’s just a spray paint can. Make sure you get one that bonds to plastic and make sure you do a good job cleaning and prepping the surface!
