She is currently at the mechanic's for a complete inspection and to make sure everything is 100% before I start playing with her. I love those brick backing lights in the bumper. Did Ur Xterra come with that little rubber mat on the bumper or did U grab/make that somewhere? I'm looking at clear lenses to replace the headlights but am kinda disappointed that I cant find the turn markers to replace the old ones with. Ours are foggy and might be cracked. :/ Any ideas?
LydieCakes the rubber top came on the bumper. Best bet would be to snag one from a junkyard if you want one. If you have plans to get an aftermarket bumper I wouldn’t worry about it. I installed the lights in the bumper, one if the best mods I’ve done, I use them all the time to back up. If you’re going to be upgrading headlights I’d suggest retrofitting projectors. I have a tutorial on how if you want to check it out!

Paint, decals, twine wrapped around the steering wheel, stereo, dome lights converted to LED, modified air intake that doesn't help power or MPG but sounds good. Got it.

you need to regear to the 4.90 gears they started using in 2001. That'll get you back to the way they intended it to function not to mention it'll get your speedo in check. You've probably got the 4.64 Gears. You've gone up in tire size so need to put some lower gears in there.
I’m glad you spoke on that cold air intake tube because I was thinking that it really gave the engine power & I wanted one🤪! Those parts run over $300 ☝🏾! What do you call that privacy sliding back lid? I will would like to look it up. I have a 2002 Nissan Xterra.
Just a heads up, car amps are built so that the circuit board is on the 'roof' of the amp so any loose parts do not fall onto the board and short it out. I suggest you place it right side up
nice xterra. ive got an 02 supercharged 4x4 that is on 32s with 15" rims 3" lift and a leveler kit. same exact color. it was set up this way when i bought it and i love it

Paulo CRXTERRA91 hey man, so the guy I bought these wheels from said he had to get the spacers in order for the wheels to clear the hubs. Now whether or not you need spacers as big as mine I’m not sure. If I remember correctly I think mine are 1.5” spacers. Hope this helps👍🏼❎
Sick X. Head lights are awesome my friend paid 1000.00 to get his FJ done. Im curious how bright they are. I live in rural MT and the stock heads lights suck. Haven't seen many options for upgrading. Also curious about the fogs in the front. any help and advice is awesome.
nate barnett thank you! They’re pretty bright, I have the 5000k HID bulbs in them. If you do some googling you can find some decent output pictures. The fog lights worked well too, I have since switched bumpers and am no longer running the fogs but they worked great for the price. If you haven’t already, check out my build video on my headlights, I hope it helps!

nate barnett for the housing just make sure the build quality isn’t terrible but you want ones with clear lenses not ones that have the lenses with all the different things on them that help disperse light

CrudeGaming it depends. A first generation xterra isn't too much, you can find them for around $3500, all of the modifications (lights, lift, wheels, tires, plasti dip, headlights, rack, etc.) probably total about $1500.
New Life Living so basically all I did was drill two holes in the bumper above where the lights are and used those holes to mount the lights in the bumper, then used the existing wiring from the factory fog lights and wires them in. Super easy to do and well worth it!
Green X not having any experience with electrical and wiring, yet I’m super ambitions about this upgrade. When you mentioned wired them in does that mean you spliced several different colored wires from the fog light factory wires, to the corresponding after market niilight?
New Life Living yeah, so basically there were two wires that ran to the factory light, and two wires that come out of the nilight pods. I just matched colors and boom.

New Life Living as far as surviving a Maine winter I might use some silicone around the lenses to help keep water out and maybe use stainless mounting hardware to help combat the rust from salt. As far as plate bulbs, just determine what kind of bulb you need and find an LED version of that bulb then it should be just plug and play.👍🏼
Sloan Segars I took off the two plastic pieces that they’re bolted into and drilled some holes. If I remember correctly I think you have to remove the wiper blades as well
Eric Perez larger wheels, create more rolling resistance due to their larger diameter and also possibly heavier weight. This makes the engine work harder to turn them which causes fuel economy to drop. However the amount it drops really depends, I’ve had these wheels on for a few years and been getting about 13 mpg with about 90% city driving. Hope this helps
Topshelf Junior currently got 220k on it and I do still have it! I’m getting ready to do the head gasket along with water pump and timing belt, etc. I know a few people who have over 300k on theirs. They’re great trucks!

N S I took it in to get aligned after I did everything and they were able to get it close but it’s not perfect. If you want to do it right I would suggest getting aftermarket UCAs with modified geometry to help get a better alignment.

Mr. Hospitality if I remember correctly I think I just used some rustoleum paint that bonds to plastic. The most important part of any paint job is prep. I’ve heard a lot of people like to use rustoleum spray on Bedliner

Also, the heat sink dissipates heat out. You are trapping the heat with the Amp upside down, making much more likely to overheat

This is a great setup you have goin on. I have a 2004 Xterra and I plan to do the pods as well. Did you just wire them like you would for a lightbar?
Yeah they are wired similar to a lightbar. The only difference is that they tie into one pair of wires that runs to the battery!
