We love that you guys love our Beautiful State of Oregon. You are welcome any time. You guys picked the right time to visit the Columbia River Gorge. Less than a month after you published this video, some stupid teenage kid with Fireworks caught that area on fire and stranded over 150 hikers overnight. The City of Cascade Locks had to evacuate over 100 homes because of it. It is now almost two years later, and the trails are still closed. This fire spread to several thousand acres before finally being contained. Many Oregonians, including me, were and still are severely heart broken. It was called The Eagle Creek Fire. I just became a recent subscriber to your channel. Awesome channel, awesome family. Thanks, Russ from Forest Grove, Oregon.

At the aircraft museum behind you (1:32) is a very rare PBY Amphisous plane, used during WW2 in the Pacific. Many sailors were rescued by a PBY after their ships were sunk. This was the last of the floating plane used by the US Navy.

I love the old DC 3s. Back in the early 1950s, age wise I was in single digits and my father worked for TCA (Trans Canada Airways) long before it became Air Canada. We would fly free often times (DC 3s) and back in those days we got escorted to the flight deck where I sat on the Captain's knees and gripping the yoke actually believed that I was flying the plane (and no the Captain's name wasn't Clarence) :-)
Loved the waterfalls ... what splendor !

I love the Blue Heron! My aunt lives just outside Tillamook Oregon and I always stop at the Blue Heron when I visit. They have the best truffles. Another awesome place to check out is the Tillamook cheese factory if you ever stop by there again! They have some delicious and unique flavors of cheese that you can't get anywhere else but at the factory. Plus the ice cream is to die for.

After traveling the country, we can spot safety issues, but this one was blatant. I left my drone in the back of the truck TWICE while in Canada. I suppose my guard was down while being there, but the big cities in Canada have problems too just like the States.

Another great video. I have not made it too Erickson air yet, but still plan to as they have wonderful helicopters that are real workhorses. Loved the museum pics, saw a pic right behind you in opening of PBY , I have a friend that flew them. See movie "Always" he flew opening scene. Filmed in Libby MT. Did they have a P38 lighting? My dad's partner was a WWII ace, and he test piloted it , but I have yet to see one up close. The falls bright back memories too. I'm starting g to feel like the movie " A river runs through it" where he says he's haunted by memories :-) but they are good memories. Thanks

One thing I have done on vacations with the kids was to make a few "Amazing Race" type clues for the city we are visiting and they would have to research/find the answer and place. Of course I'd do it within decent walking distance of where we were going to be lol! When we would cruise I would assign a port for everyone to research and plan the activities (with a budget) and that is what we would do. Of course I had first right of refusal (or redirection). I like how you had them research at the museum. Thanks for sharing your life with us.

I have some sad news. Multnomah falls was just consumed in one of our many forest fires. I had to come back to this video just for the memories. We have fires all around us. We lost Sperry challet in Glacier Park and they are doing what they can to protect McDonald lake lodge. Most of west side of Glacier is now closed. I wish you could have seen it in its prime.

Hahaha - too funny. Trish holds up the jam and talks about sauteeing onions and in my mind I go "and then put it on a pork tenderloin just off the grill..." when she says put it on a pork loin. Soo thinking alike! I use to grab pepper or tomato preserves and toss 'em in with the juices after pan-searing some pork - quick and easy sauce that's oh so delicious. Add a nice garlic or herb mash and let's call it dinner.
PS: as others have commented: makeup doesn't suite everyone, particularly not someone who doesn't have anything to hide... (I know, it's about being yourself, so that's good too. But then - old fart here - what do I know...)

Been watching you all for a while as am a beginner RVer with a TT as have always gone by car, stayed with friends or family and tent camped. I am a Wilderness hiker and really love these spots and trails you are showing. Good job! Now if and when you come east again, check out WV for whitewater, rock climbing (awesome Nelson Rock and Seneca Rocks) , and all that tree treking stuff. Adventures on the Gorge is a good place to start. Monongahela National Forest is an underused gem of almost 900,000 acres too where I do a lot of backpacking. You can dry camp there for as little as $5 a day and there are great trout streams. Your Oregon video reminded me of it. I will definitely get to where you are. Looks super. Thanks again too for the quality effort you put into your videos!!!!!!

Keep Your Daydream sometime go to Cape Disappointment park in long beach/Ilwaco, WA you wont be disappointed. The hiking is amazing, there's light houses, coves and a jetty. The peak of that park is the old war bunker the boys would LOVE. The park only costs 10 dollars for the adventure pass and its well worth that price for an all day adventure.

the first fall that you showed on your video is called wahkeena I am the site host at that location and I watch your videos an subscribe I thought you did a very nice video of the Gorge I wish you would tell the people that they should cover their valuables more because we do have a problem with break-ins and you were in the city of Tillamook where the cheese factory was you miss another great Cheese Factory just up the street called Tillamook cheese

Roger Buss the Tillomock cheese factory was closed due to construction. I sure hope the clip of glass on the ground made people aware of the break in problem. The falls was a great hike

Bittersweet, the DC-3, twin engine, did you know that there is one on top of Mount Moran, Grand Tetons... Crashed there in 1950 carrying 3 WWII pilots, and 20 missionaries from the New Tribes Institute bound for South America... All perished, including my father, Capt Jack W. Dennis, who survived 29 bombing missions in a B-17 over Europe in WWII, only to lose his life in a war surplus DC-3 (or C-47) as they were called in the military... Thanks for sharing...

Love your videos! I really enjoyed all your videos through Oregon, mostly because it's where I live! I couldn't figure out where Cannon was until I realized you were talking about Cannon BEACH. "Cannon Beach" is the actual name of the city. Now we will have to go to the Tree to Tree Adventures!

Ah. I figured it was the beach at Cannon. Good point. Who knows what we said in the episode. I guess I'll find out shortly.

To be fair, it did cost you $200 in towing fees to replace a fuse so you should have felt pretty secure with that lol.

I'm surprised you didn't go to the Tillamook Cheese Factory, it's an Oregon favorite cheese. It was about a mile up the street from Blue Heron. I've been to both many times.

We been watching your videos for a while, and we enjoy your tips and adventures in the different locations. You missed highlighting many good things, but you seem to have skipped Portland all together. Looking forward to seeing your adventures in Whistler..

Yeah, its a bummer. I wish we had at least a full week at each destination. There just isn't enough time to see everything and some destinations get the short end of the stick based on avail. weather, work, school, holidays, etc.

P.S. I can't wait for your family to pick a new furbaby to travel with y'all. Remember don't shop, rescue!

Marc, did you say you were headed for Mount Rainier? Ben there, done that, loved it. There is a beautiful waterfall not to far from the entrance. It is a bit of a steep walk down and up, but well worth it. It isn't a long walk either. We were there on a sunny day and saw a rainbow (beautiful!) I did it 10 years ago when I was 55, I don't know it I could do it now. LOL

I contemplatively taking that our of the editing because we didn't end up having time to visit. One of the reasons we decided to skip it is because we KNOW we'll be back to Bend and Seattle and can dedicate more time to it later. It would have been a drive-by this time.
