Dexter saying what so many of us have been thinking. Ronnie’s done it all; he no longer needs nor should have to look as big and muscular as he did during his reign. But it’s like an addiction. He doesn’t no anything else except “peanut” weight. And like Dexter, it hurts me to see him do a “comeback” every other year where Ronnie’s back! He’s training big again. All of which is then followed by Ronnie’s having another surgery, and Ronnie may never walk again. This cycle has been repeated for the last 10 years seemingly.

Reminds me of Lee Haney's greatness in their respective ways. His longevity is telling regarding taking care of himself, being smart and wise, reducing serious health risks with aging. Dexter Jackson would be great as The President's Chairman and Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Nutrition, the post that Arnold had under George H.W. Bush back in the 1990's.

I really hate when people are praising Ronnie Coleman's approach to bodybuilding saying that he's a legend because he pushed his body so hard. No, he didn't become who he was due to his bodybuilding approach but in spite of that. Ruining your training schedule due to having multiple back surgeries in a year will NOT help you be greatest. Going heavy on squat when your knee just popped will NOT help you be the greatest. Ronnie was the greatest due to him having the best genetics in history both when it comes to training and response to drugs.
Ronnie is an addict that could never stop and his story is a cautionary tale indeed. Steroids make your muscles extremely strong but your tendons and ligaments remain pretty much the same. That's why it's so important to train smart and not heavy on steroids. But Ronnie didn't care as he kept loading a small car worth of weights onto his already broken legs and back.
Just think for a second what it's like to live, watching your husband's/dad's body falling apart due to extreme drug abuse and tell me again that Ronnie is a legend. That's exactly what his family went through.
    But yeah, lightweight baby!!!

Dexter is such an inspiration and an incredibly humble guy as well. No man has ever had a body like that at age 50, beating guys 20 years younger. I hope he wins the Olympia this year and continues to compete for many years to come. The sport needs legends like him.

“All these guys, banging heavy weight”... he hit the key word there. Heavy weights are okay if you use good form, it’s when you start throwing the weights around that you get hurt.

Yates used impeccable piston like form... if your bending the bar it doesn’t matter how good your form is it will catch up with you eventually

Scott Williamson Piston-like isn’t impeccable. I’ve seen enough of Dorian’s videos to know that he got sloppy at times.

With all do respect to Dexter, because I am a big fan, I believe he should have won more Mr. Olympias and he looks great but even though Ronnie and Dorian both lifted too heavy and probably wish they could still train and look as good as Dexter today they do have a lot of Mr. Olympia titles because of what they put themselves through. I guess it was just a trade off they made for greatness.

Watching Ronnie Coleman on IG is like watching somebody walking towards a cliff. People say careful man, watch your step, don't go any further you're about to fall. But he's looking back saying shut up losers, you're just quiters and there's a bunch of people standing near the cliff clapping at his stupidity encouraging the stumble. It's none of my business but the implications that attitudes like that have on youngsters who don't know better are serious...

It is what it is. Bodybuilding and steroid use is an unhealthy addiction for some, an unhealthy career choice for others, or both. It is what it is. Just like a football player or a boxer knowingly sacrifices health for money. In the end we all get old, we all become disabled eventually and we all die. Ronnie truly loves the sport and if he wants to continue lifting, I say go for it. Live your life

Dexter is 100 percent right on that. If a bodybuilder has to load and unload his own weight. While he has a P. T. Then he or she. Is more likely to come out that zone, he or she is in. When it comes to the hard faught for. Mind and muscle connection. That we work so hard to gain and perfect. You know what I mean?
