It’s nice seeing Siemens on the Dandenong lines again, even if they aren’t in service. That being said, did you manage to see or ride the Siemens that ran a service to East Pakenham on Wednesday? I was lucky enough to ride it from the city but sadly I had something on, so I had to get off at Caulfield.
On the Hurstbridge Line as of 2018, the level crossing at Grange Road, Alphington was removed by lowering the rail corridor beneath the road into a rail trench, which also included track duplication between Heidelberg and Rosanna and the level crossing removal at Lower Plenty Road, Rosanna by building a skyrail with a new elevated Rosanna Station. And as of 2023, the Hurstbridge Line Duplication was completed which included around 3 kms of duplicated tracks between Greensborough and Eltham and around 1.5 kms between Diamond Creek and Wattle Glen. Around 4.5 kms of track duplication in total between Greensborough and Hurstbridge. Greensborough and Montmorency stations got completely rebuilt and Diamond Creek Station got upgraded. Then, as of 2027, the level crossing at Ruthven Street, Macleod was removed by building a skyrail over the road. And then, as of 2028, the rail tunnel under Greensborough Highway was extended a few hundred metres longer and a new multi-deck car park was built at Watsonia Station as part of the North East Link.
On the South Morang Line as of 2018, the Mernda Rail Extension from South Morang to Mernda was completed and it included 3 new stations at Middle Gorge, Hawkstowe and Mernda. Middle Gorge Station was built on ground level and Hawkstowe and Mernda Stations were built above ground with skyrail. And that train line is now called the Mernda Line. And as of 2019, the level crossing at High Street, Reservoir was removed by building a 1 km skyrail with a new elevated Reservoir Station. Then, as of 2022, the 4 level crossings at Oakover Road, Bell Street, Cramer Street and Murray Road in Preston were removed by building a 2 km skyrail with 2 new elevated stations at Bell and Preston. And then, as of 2024, the level crossing at Keon Parade, Keon Park was removed by building a 750 m skyrail with a new elevated Keon Park Station.
As of 2025, The Metro Tunnel was completed which included twin 9 km rail tunnels between South Kensington and South Yarra, 5 new underground stations at Arden, Parkville, State Library, Town Hall and Anzac and it has the Sunbury, Cranbourne and Pakenham lines running through it. Also it has direct airport connection via the Melbourne Airport Rail Link which was completed in 2029 and included an upgraded Sunshine Station with a new regional platform and a new transport superhub, a rebuilt Albion Station on ground level on the Sunbury Line, a new Keilor East Station on ground level and a new elevated Melbourne Airport Station on skyrail. And as of 2043, the Suburban Rail Loop was completed which is a 90 km rail line from Cheltenham to Werribee via Melbourne Airport and 60 kms of it from Cheltenham to Melbourne Airport was built underground with 13 new underground stations at Cheltenham, Clayton, Monash, Glen Waverley, Burwood, Box Hill, Doncaster, Heidelberg, Bundoora, Reservoir, Fawkner, Broadmeadows and Melbourne Airport, 2 new transport superhubs at Clayton and Broadmeadows and SRL driverless trains.

Yes I did. Unfortunately I haven't edited it yet. Nice catch nonetheless. Even had a Pakenham desto!
A couple of those train sets had some nasty wheel flats!
Off to Craigieburn to fix lol
They should give a set aboriginal art while there painting them all
Excactly hcmt has one, even the x trapolios
Would be cool
I hope X’trapolis trains get PID upgrades but no new announcements or seat fabrics.
"now we see various naked siemens sets..." lol, they may be taking a shower in westall

It will be strange to see what the network will look like when these sets reach end of life.
Indeed
Why can't the X'traps midlife upgrade be the X'trap 2.0!
