I'm a revert in a town where there are no Muslims. I watch vlogs and enjoy the wonderful sharing of Eid celebration. The blossoms are not here yet and it was wonderful to see all the many blossoms you have already. ❤
I visited Istanbul from Canada for a few weeks during Ramadan this year. I am not Muslim but I thought it would be interesting to practice the fasting. Iftar on my own was too quiet but Iftar with friends was lovely. We had interesting conversations and very nice foods from Turkey, Egypt and Morocco. I hope to participate again next Ramadan.
Ha! They call it fasting but they eat and drink during the day! Try practising 40 days of real Orthodox fasting before Easter, another 15 days before the Annuciation of Mary and another 15 before Christmas and see if you can abide by its rules! -))
Such a beautiful time to spend with family and your community. The big picnic looked so wonderful. And your personal picnic where you were talking about everything was equally lovely. Thank you for sharing these precious moments in celebration ❤❤
After the first day of Eid we continued to fast the 6 sunnah days of fasting. We had mostly traditional Maldivian dishes for Iftar. ❤ I am from the magical Maldives.
Merhaba 😊 your channel is amazing! It's not only about food, but the culture, values, tourism... i now have a different vision about women like you. You empower Turkish women!!! Well done 😘😘😘

assalamualaikum . a very happy aidilfitri celebration to u , ur family and whole Muslim world. i could see there was a man from malaysia inside ur video he was wearing a baju Melayu with songket a malay traditional attire common during aidilfitri celebration.
Hello Ayşenur. I loved learning about your Eid celebrations. The horrible traffic spoilt your plans. What a lovely idea to meet with others in a park to share food and conversations. So nice to see the pretty pink blossoms on the trees and the tulips in delightful patterns. We were in Istanbul a little early to see those lovely signs of Spring. I hope you and your family are well.
Thank you for showing us how people in Türkiye or İstanbul celebrating Eid. İyi bayramlar! It is interesting to see people in other Muslim majority country celebrate Eid a bit different to us. In Indonesia, also in Malaysia, we called it Hari Raya (lit. Great Day, holiday) or Lebaran. There are some activities we do welcoming Lebaran: mudik, takbiran, eid prayer, sungkeman, duit raya, etc. Mudik is going back to the hometown or where our parent(s) live. Millions of people do this every year. Takbiran happened on night before eid. People gathered in mosque reciting takbir from evening until near midnight. The next morning, we do eid prayer. People, men and women, young and old, go to nearby mosque or square wearing their best clothes to do the prayer. It is like Muslim Met Gala. After eid prayer, we go to relatives usually the oldest family member to do sungkeman and having breakfast together. Sungkeman is like kneeling and kiss our parent(s) hand while ask forgiveness. We usually give a small money pocket to younger relatives, like 10 yrs old or younger, called duit raya. Some of people also go to their relatives' graveyard. For the staple food, we still eat rice. Mostly people will make ketupat, a rice cake cooked in woven coconut or pandan leaves. Some people make lemang, also a rice cake made with sticky rice cooked in bamboo tube. I think all of people here enjoying meat during eid. Like, you can't find a house where there is no meat dish inside. Some of the popular dishes are rendang, kari (curry), opor (similar to curry but milder), and sambal goreng hati/paru (fried beef liver/lung cooked in spicy sambal). Also, we like to eat something sweet. Most of us will make, or buy, kue kering. Similar to butter cookies or shortbread I can say. The favorite one is nastar or pineapple tart. We eat those cookies with syrup or soda. Normally, the eid holidays is around 3-5 days, but we feel the vibes like an entire month.
Assalamu alaikum. Dear aysenur I like your vlogs Turkish food. Doing good job. 👍 I am your subscriber . I always waiting for your new vlogs and as well enjoyed your dishes. And I love your kitchen . Really it's wonderful .

What a beautiful video!! I loved how you mixed the Eid celebration/family footage with the cooking segments. As usual, your culinary skills are awesome!!! So happy you had a great Eid & thanks for sharing your beautiful world with all of us. Remember: You are THE woman!!! Salaams & much love ❤❤❤
Eid Mubarak 🌙 Great video as always. My family and I visited Istanbul for 5 days starting from last day of Ramadan. Istanbul is lovely as always but I'd like to share with you my thoughts and get your opinion: 1) I didn't see much happiness during the Eid unfortunately. Even the decorations were not many outside. Is it maybe because of the earthquake that happened earlier this year? 2) when I compare with where I live (close to Nazareth city), there is a bigger Eid atmosphere and one of the main reasons is the "takbeer" that we hear from the mosques. It starts as soon as the moon is seem. The muazzin does takbeer after every azan and we did it also immediately after each prayer upto and including the Eid prayer. We do that according to the Shafii madhab. While I believe in Turkey you follow Hanafi Madhab which has takbeer only in Eid prayer. Believe when I say that the yakbeer contributes a lot to the atmosphere 😊 3) the international students meetup is a wonderful idea ❤ Who is organizing that? I saw the brothers and sisters wearing blue vests have a MIM on them. What is MIM? Happy holidays and thanks again for your videos 🌷
Eid Mubarak ❤❤ It feels weird and nice to hear some Arabic in the park 😁😁 I think I see your daughter for the first time... She looks pretty and lovely... May Allah bless her Again Eid Mubarak and I wish you all the best
Eid Mubarak! Beautiful food and beautiful people in a beautiful city, a lovely way to spend Eid, Alhamdu Lillaah. I was once an international student, so I know what it’s like to be far away from home; the joy of having others around you on a special occasion such as Eid is a gift. Thank you for sharing this video!
I’m so glad you had a relaxing 2nd and 3rd day especially after the traffic stress on the Friday. We only have one day Eid holiday in South Africa so it’s a day spent at home with our family - we all bring a dish to share and also greet our neighbours. When we were children my father used to take the children to visit our relatives. Those days traffic was less , petrol cheaper 🤣 but now it’s enough that all my siblings and their children get together at my parents house. ❤
