She is a gutsy lady . Most people would freak out in some of the situations he puts her in she just goes with it, whatever happens or whatever manoeuvre he pulls .
This is one of my favorites Jonas. It is so much fun to watch you and Silvija fly around, full of joy, over the beautiful snow covered countryside, with an elk herd off your wing.
RIch Gallegos Capellas have 110 sq ft, stall 38mph. Had mine up to 130mph with 2 varios at zero. Kept it on 900 ft field, but not a bush plane. The real strength is handling, Even nicer than a clipwing cub. And yes the motor mounts are so soft.
@@jerrymills2 There was no dihedral angle specified, so I used the struts full length resulting in 0.8 degrees. Looks right. There should be some washout in the wings, too late if there's not. 3/4 inch under the rear spar.
I should add mine was the first shipped with a 912, omnivision, straight tail, TD. If you found a 100hp fastback swept tail nosedragger, things could be different.
Good to see the video with the both of you in it again. Yes Sylvia, winter is cold! Found out my Tailwind, even though it was made in southern Alabama, actually has a heater that works LOL. I knew it worked when I turned it off and it went from cool to unbelievably cold! Doran Jaffas Central Lower Michigan
Jonas... did you build this from a Kit or Plans? From what I see they are not in production anymore. Any info on how to build one? Pretty impressive on 80HP!
Capellas have 110 sq ft, stall 38 mph, limited suspension. I kept mine on 900 ft, but not a bush plane. Buy it for the handling, so sweet even compared to a clipwing cub.
Man, you really shouldn't push elk that hard this time of the year. They are only surviving off fat reserves and just need to be laying around in order to survive through april. A lot of states have even gone so far as to implement shed hunting seasons so people aren't out pushing elk around until May 1.
Surprised friendly aviation association didn’t call you. Can’t be pushing any wildlife with season hunting management. They call it something different, but that’s how I remember it.
Silvija is a smart girl, she is not like some idiots girls who appear in some UA-cam videos. I like your channel guys, I'm always here watching your videos.
Can you do a video on the cart you pulled the capella out of the hangar with? Looks like a homemade contraption. Would be nice for a hangar with a small opening
Jonas look forward to the videos, notices in one of the videos you were flying back from New Mexico and stopped over in Rifle Colorado. If you come back this way stop in at our privet air strip (dirt/grass) Colorado O29 about 16 miles west of Rifle.
You know J , Trent use to do videos like this and got a ton of followers. Flying over the country and all the stuff that goes with it plus using the drone to give himself aerial views of landing and take off. This video was super please make more like it. Oh yeah the music was great.
Nice flying. When I was a kid in Kansas in the late 1960s my dad flew 150s and Mooneys. Always wanted to do it. Your videos are kindling a new desire. Looks like great fun.
Hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps, a roaring fire and a Lithuanian snuggle bunny. Ahh! A dirty old man can only dream. Thanks, Jonas, you made my day.
Funny, I was just thinking it had been a while since your last video...I was afraid you had broken something on that “crazy” one wheel :-). Glad to see you in one piece!
We appreciate the links to t-shirts, music, camera gear and more...but there's no link for the brilliantly designed cart for pulling your Capella sideways out of the hangar! Please provide info about that cart. Thanks!
Right below the spinner, at 8:18, I craned all those trusses up just a couple days earlier. Too bad we didn't time it better, we could have gotten the crane in the video! I'll second the Zipper Big Bore mod, I did it well over 1,000 hours ago. It'd really make that Capella sit up and take notice.
Hi Jonas, just wondering if you have done a rundown on some of the camera gear that you use. The handheld camera you use in the cockpit seems to produce pretty steady video, what sort of camera is that? Love all your vids, keep em' coming.
That Capella looks nice but any idea when you’ll be selling the Kitfox? Or how much for? Definitely interested for an update on that. Also can’t wait to see the power plant for Defiance and what it ends up costing vs those pricy Rotax
Nice, what setting do you use on your DJI. I mounted it in the same place but get a lot of propeller visual interference, so hardly use the footage. Took your advise and wired it directly to power works like a dream.

I found it unnatural when she helped shoveling the snow. Is she trying to impress him/us (it works)?

Did anyone notice that Stearman sitting out behind a hangar with the wings off?
and who cares except you i guess

well said!
good eye!!
You and Silvija in a video is always interesting and fun to watch!
Man, if I had the funds this wouldn't be for sale anymore... looks like a competent little machine! Someone's going to be happy with her.

@@puttputt73 do you have the assembly drawing for it. I found one in a garage unfinished. The wings and fuselage are complete.

Capt. Silvija rockin' the Left Seat as always ! Been missing you both !
Yeah I was worried you hadn't posted in a while. I guess there's nothing worth filming in the winter???
great your co-pilot was back to help film and add comments
Just named my two new Kittens, Jonas & Silvija,
cause that are into travel, exploration & adventure.

Lucky man you are, Jonas
Jonas... did you build this from a Kit or Plans? From what I see they are not in production anymore. Any info on how to build one? Pretty impressive on 80HP!
From a kit. Yeah they are out of business sadly. Wonderful aircraft
Oh man does this bring back memories of Dad flying me in the Aeronca Chief. Cold, slow and LOUD! Good times.
One of those has been for sale near me for a while, but it is in desperate need of some updates.
Thanks for the video!!
Wow, that footage of the elk was amazing!

Raffle the capella off
Great footage of the elk! Good see y’all. Just bought a Zenith 701 really fun plane! Student pilot at 53! Thanks for the inspiration Jonas!
Thats great!

That shot of the elk!! so nice we needed to see it twice!! keep it up Jonas!!

Awesome flight!!!!😎
What a nice plane. Wish I had the coin for it! Thanks for another great video with your beautiful copilot!
Always enjoy watching your videos! you're inspiring me to keep going after my private pilot license!
Thanks Eddie! good luck. keep at it!
I used to run Rotax motors on trikes in the late 90s. Great motors.
I love your editing style its so smooth to watch
Finally another video!!!
Good Video Jonas, Give us a update on defiance!!!!
I second the Defiance video plea!
You guys just have too much fun!
Nice flying! Hope to fly a plane like that one of these days. Safe flying!
congratulations on a great channel guys keep up the good work !
where is the Capella hangered at?
Your videos are just so much fun to watch. Great editing. Sylvija is so cute ... you not so much. Just kidding. You guys are great together.
Loved the elk run!
why was wing level/turn indicator not moving in turns?
It wasn’t turned on.

I built it myself. Next video I can post how I built it.
Excellent as usual!!!
Nice vid. Just wondering how you go with the backing songs. Any issues with copyright?
Musicbed is the best place to get songs. Actual artist. I have a link in the description!
@@JonasMarcinko Thanks Jonas. Your videos have inspired me. I'm looking at the possibility of building a BushCat kit plane. Much appreciated

Dang! That would have been good!
Awesome little plane! It will sell for sure.
Awesome video and what a pretty co pilot!
Nice aeroplane, looks ideal for farm strips here in the UK.
It would be great for that!
Jonas Marcinko I know someone who had one of the first Kitfoxes in the UK. A challenge to build, but fun to fly.
Do the wings fold back on this Capella model?
They do fold. But I hear it’s a bit of a pain. I never did fold them.
Fun video you two!
Thanks
Nice vid! Thanks for sharing!
Poor Sylvia needs a A20 😁🤘🏻
Hand air pumps the ones at a bike shop can inflate a car tire I believe they are dual valve.
I paid around $60 for mine
Was the engine preheated, or was the hangar heated?
quinnjim pre heated
That was a lot of fun.
so sick! can wait to see more onewheel vides!!!
When you guys cheered when it started... ahha ! Good to go. Now let's fly!
so for comment 338 (doh missed it by 1) you have a buncha major repaira to the xls and it didnt sell?
Its that's a new plane never saw it, I like it nice. 👍
Great video.
great vid. you guys are so much fun to watch!
Are the camera's included (or at least the mounts)? lol
Looks like a fun a super fun plane.
such a beautiful airplane. The tail reminds me of a Tiger Moth.
Hi Jonas, just wondering if you have done a rundown on some of the camera gear that you use. The handheld camera you use in the cockpit seems to produce pretty steady video, what sort of camera is that? Love all your vids, keep em' coming.
It’s the Sony 6300. It’s steady when shooting at slow motion
That one wheel is dope
what happened to defiance?
My Capella is in my other hangar...you poor bastard!
hi, my name's Nick, I'm Italian, I got a Capella xls to,. builded in 1994, powered by Rotax 912 80 hp.
Cool video! Good to see you again
Funny thumbnail.... good thing you clarified it with that arrow ↗️🤣
Interested in getting more info on the cappella - looks like a fun plane!
Is there a 3 or 4 bladed prop for that?
Is it stil for sale?
When you gonna do a Glasair video ?
That Capella looks nice but any idea when you’ll be selling the Kitfox? Or how much for? Definitely interested for an update on that. Also can’t wait to see the power plant for Defiance and what it ends up costing vs those pricy Rotax
Nice job thanks
Sweet little aircraft.
Did you put it on controller.com?
Here's a thought. Change the landing gear over to Bush wheels and give it to her so when she gets her pilot's license you two can fly together.
That cold start hurt my soul
I saw my hangar on take off. Awesome vid!
Awesome video & plane.

Nice airplane. Looks like it'd be a ball to fly around in.
Jonas what year is your Capella? Also is that a kit plane?
I believe the kit was produced 99 and I finished it in 2014.
Nice!
How does it spin? And stop spinning??
This spring I come into a large sum of money. If it's still for sale then, I will contact you to check it out. Cheers from Winnipeg.
Sounds good!
Nice little plane, at a good price.
This was a cool video! You two are a very cute couple!
I like this video! Keep up the good work!
