As a manga reader, I think they did a phenomenal job adapting this scene. The animation, the voice acting, the music, everything came together so well and even knowing what was going to happen I got to relive how I felt when I first read this chapter.

Manga reader here. Easily the best episode of the season. Maybe my favorite of the show. I adored the animation, the voice acting, the ost, the added flash backs, all of it. I'm honestly really happy they didn't censure his body, bc that panel was brutal, both drawn and animated. They made him look ethereal, and I couldn't be happier. Also I'm devastated haha

As a manga reader, they adapted this episode phenomenally. Bones understood the assignment and cooked up a 5 star meal with this episode. The animation, the direction, the pacing, the voice acting, basically everything was done all very well. I’ll say this tho, they removed a scene that happened in the manga that I was kinda looking forward to seeing be adapted in the anime, but it’s more like a nitpick if anything. So you know how when characters are in the presence of AFO or Shigaraki that they feel a sense of death and we get an image of that feeling?
Like in season 6 when Deku and Bakugou first encountered Shigaraki they started crumbling to dust, showing that they feel death in the presence of Shigaraki. Well something like that happens when Shigaraki has Bakugou by the throat in the beginning of the episode.
But in the manga when Bakugou feels this presence of death from Shigaraki, we get this haunting image of Bakugou being mangled and torn apart by hundreds of Shigaraki’s fingers, just to be brought back to reality where Bakugou is shook and Shiggy than tells Bakugou that he’s nothing more than a shadow compared to Deku and OFA. Given by how gory that image was, I’m not surprised they decided to completely remove it, but the episode is still great regardless. Definitely my favorite episode of this season and most likely a top 10 for the entire series for sure.

Love how they adapted this episode.
One little heartbreaking thing about the manga panel of that last scene, you could also see the bruises from Shigaraki's fingers on his neck. Horikoshi was really out for blood when he drew it 😢

Manga reader, and man, I'm right there with what the other manga readers have been saying, Bones did an amazing fucking job adapting this episode. It might be one of their best adapted episodes, the best one so far in my opinion. The animation, the pacing, the music, it was all amazing. They adapted the best shots from that chapter BEAUTIFULLY, and the voice acting had me in tears all over gagain even knowing what was coming. The VS put his everything into this performance and I respect the hell out of it. I've read somewhere that he admitted he was crying in the recording booth, and I wholly believe it. And the way the music cut out at the end to leave nothing but the silence and the sounds of the rain lingering somberly on that last shot was the perfect choice. Amazing job on this one, production team. It made me reel everything I did before and even more, all over again.

Yes, i agree that this was the best episode by far of the entire season. And as a manga reader, i felt very justified.
Their fight in the manga lasted 2 pages!! 2...out of 15 pages of panels per chapter. I was so mad. So this....they stepped up to the plate and delivered.
The apology and this was my absolute favorite and emotional as well. And even after watching every single youtuber reaction to this (so far) im still an emotional wreck.

when this chapter came out I was scrolling through google I got spoiled on it, I was not happy at all, hell Im still not happy about it cause it also had the shot of bakugo on the ground on it. anyway this episode was adapted PERFECTLY only 1 thing I was iffy about.

As mangareader, it's really good adaptation and very good episode. Even i already know what will happen , still i'm kinda anxious. It's just me personally, i'm more emotional affected from reading manga more than this episode, but still it make me anxious. Overall, bones really, reallyyyyy did a very good job for this episode.
And I would love to give my first thought as manga reader from when i first time read the chapter. Means the same perspective like you and other anime watcher only that just watch this episode. I'm also totally in disbelief and in denial, that i strongly believe Horikoshi will revive him again. I'm that the strong believer that Hori will not kill him off , bcuz he is very2 important and one of the soul character for mha. My thoughts at that time accept that he indeed die, but hori will find way to make him alive again. I hold that believe do longg. Hori really cruel, bcuz bakugo status were left at that last panel, lie on the ground for one year, without a confirmation wether he is actually or not. Image thatt, it's really a torture.😢

I'm a new fan. So yea bro: non manga reader. Heavy gruesome end of him? Yea. Should they save him? Maybe, but it'll be too "magical" for THIS show. If they do save him somehow I'll feel "ok"....but I hate what I'm about to say but: it would make the story WAY MORE INTERESTING if they leave him deceased than saving him . That's all I got lol 🙏🏿

Interesting sure but this is just adding artificial stake into things, his story line isnt close to the finish line nor has he even atoned yet.
Its literally been only just over a week since the villain hunt where he finally apologized and a few hours in hes already dead, no progression made between the two.
He just flops dead for deku to get a rage boost and then what?

I do agree that there's always more story to tell with either scenario. But I know this decision is something the fans have been wondering if they'll ever pull the trigger on. I'll definitely let the story play out cause there's so much more to happen. I'm not buttheart over the decision, just seeing how it'll play out.

I don't think he's going to come back. I really like this character, but I think that they should keep him dead. It would make for some really heavy character interactions and plotpoints in the show of other characters dealing with his death. It'd really make this anime stand out, and the way that they did this was really well done so I can't even be mad about Horikoshi removing him. There were other moments in the anime where you'd think a character was going to die but didn't so this was still kind of unexpected.
Unfortunately I got spoiled by a manga twat with a big YT channel a week ago casually mentioning his death in a short about Aoyama's deception, and then when people obvisouly became angry with him, saying that it'd happened in the manga ages ago so we should all have known.

As someone who wants to make a series, (and forgive me if this sounds morbid), I like they way they made Bakugo’s body look. It captures the lifelessness of a dead body. It looks more real than most live action movie dead bodies. The pale skin, lifeless eyes, posing. Pretty quality work.

They didn't come close to f'ing it up, the score, voice acting and animation made bakugos death much better in the anime, this one is supposed to tug on the heart strings or make you feel sad. They did it perfectly

I *want* him to come back. But he got hit through the fucking heart... he looked completely dead, I don't know...
I'm racking my brain to think of ways it could even be possible to bring him back, but unless there exist a resurrection quirk... I can't see it being possible in any way...
