The first time, he made an air cushion under a falling object without having a way to control it, resulting in the accident. Here, he put up the cushion AFTER first launching himself towards a falling object to control it.
It’s great to see Gentle, Nagant, and La Brava coming back and be the heroes they’ve always dreamed of being. Also, it’s time for Touya to get the attention he deserves from Endeavor.
Seeing this episode, it’s truly wholesome to know that Deku’s influence on the villains runs deep. This kid has the heart of a true hero and he knows exactly what needs to be said! Regarding Gentle, it needs to be said: His redemption was well-done and he deserved this time to shine. All he needed was a second chance, and he was given that. For those who didn’t respect that festival arc in S4, y’all better reconsider. Literally, if it weren’t for Gentle wanting to change for the better, he probably wouldn’t have been there to save everyone in the Coffin. Gotta have more respect for Gentle after this episode!
I teared up. Gentle and La Brava are genuinely in my top 5 characters in the show. Their hearts are so sweet and I love how they're written and I NEVER expected they'd come back as more than a filler arc but I'm SO happy they did! 🥹🥹🥹
This episode had so many amazing moments. The villain redemption arcs are finally coming full circle. Bones has been absolutely killing it this season. (As an FYI Skeptic's quirk allows him to create "dolls" out of things he touches. He used this to create Twice Dolls that he used to attack the real Twice in Daika city. )
*I’m honestly super proud of Gentle and La Brava. Their journeys started with wanting to be heroes, and they really pulled through and proved how truly heroic they are. Not to mention powerful. Gentle did so much work behind the scenes and I can’t imagine how hard La Brava must be working herself.* *Same for Lady Nagant. She’s hospitalized, but still landed that shot perfectly!*
COMPLETELY AGREED! Later part of SS4 was so underrated, in terms of writing, even made some people forgot both of La Brava and Gentle Criminal. But he always my most favorite villain of the story even without this EP, but after this he is far above every villains in my personal preferences. AND this ep, I didn't felt any forced feeling, flowed into my mind and made me tear A LOT.
He's also my favorite villain in this series, it's not hard to decide when all the other villains are boring and have 0 charisma. And I only started watching because of Dabi's family drama and I thought he would be my favorite villain, but I was disappointed lol And of course, Gentle reminds me of Jack from Shuumatsu and I have a thing for elegant characters

So I when this happened in the manga, I was reading on the bus on my way to work. I literally and without exaggeration got up and cheered when the Gentle reveal happened. I have no regrets and was 100% correct to do so, I’m only sorry the other folks on the bus could not share the hype.
The moment Gentle was introduce, i knew he will be back to save the day at some point, but not on this scale. It is just how he is written, and Gentle is strong strong! Not that many hero could go against him! Hope, he keeps his goofiness!
I genuinely don't know what's a bigger flex: Gentle catching and stabilizing the Coffin in the Sky BY HIMSELF (while boosted by La Brava's Quirk), or Gentle, ALSO BY HIMSELF, preventing a prison break.
They called Gentle and La Brava filler characters but they looking reaaaallll stupid right about now. Plenty of MHA fans loved Gentle and La Brava and the school festival itself as well. When the anime came out the anime kind of struggled with adapting it due to filling up the episodes properly to have the endeavor fight be the finale but the arc itself with Eri smiling at the school festival and the unique amazing characters of gentle and la brava made so many MHA fans happy. Although unfortunately like everything these days the minor hate drowns out the majority of the love. Gentle and Lady nagant got to repay Deku for being a hero for him compared to Deku being a hero for them back when they first showed up.
You know what? I may have been a bit too harsh on him in season 4. You know what else? I just realized that Gentle's moment here almost parallel's Deku's final stand against Muscular. Deku was holding back a monster to protect a child. Gentle is holding up the world to protect Deku and everyone else.
This is why MHAs message isnt "you can be a hero" its "you can STILL be a hero" showing that sometimes people make mistakes, people mess up, people hurt, but that doesn't mean they cant turn their life around and help, and thats the most beautiful message in any anime ive ever seen
