Can I ask why does everyone go the turbo 400 ? I had a 4l80e (t400 with overdrive) and felt that even having 4 gears was limiting, and always envied the 6l90e 6 speed

@@michaeljeffries4936 nah I’m talking about it on the street as a road registered performance car. If it was a track only car I’d start with something lighter than 1880kg and something much cheaper. Everyone’s different, and wants different things, but I don’t want a $150k-$200k car to be beaten at the🚦 by Golfs
It really is hard to put the power down on the street with this set up, I'll agree with you all day on that statement, the street is nowhere near the condition of prepped tracks
@@MrTroytroy such a heavy car and rear wheel drive is not going to be running 9s every day. Maybe a few attempts but not everytime
Most all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive cars would beat this off the line .
In a rolling race , this would monster the golfs you mentioned
@@michaeljeffries4936 I think the rolling race would have to start at 150km/h on our famous autobahns lol. 0-100 would be in the 5’s, top end would get it into the 11’s if there was decent tyres, 12’s if running 20” street tyres. We’ll never know - because not enough people can afford $220 Dragy’s.

And only 7 litres. Cool. It's not the 1000hp that's impressive it's how easy it makes it. Unlike a Honda 2L or Toyota it's won't be a grenade. That said the the top Barras now making up to 2200hp. Congrats, very nice car.

Nice vid guys, cars mint.. my vf r8 with t/c and stability control turned off I tried to do a skid for my mates 40th, and it won't do it soon as I hit the break it kills power, anyone else's vf have this problem?

Because it's for drag racing, not street racing
sure thats a hsv? as for power its useless if you can't hook it up thats where turbo is better as it can be tuned to come on in stages and their not parasitic
How is a supercharger useless for power ? Supercharger is full boost or power no lag when you plant your foot. Turbo lags then everything at once .
It's all about suspension set-up and tyres, a big turbo can be just as useless because of its unpredictability
