- Australia's most iconic automobile, the Holden Commodore. Often used for commuting and daily driving, however this 1996 VS S Pack has been completely transformed. In the guise of a sleeper build (minus the big tri spoke wheels), this car has a big turbo LS V8 under the bonnet making some insane power figures. Today, we find out just what it's like to drive this beast of a machine. Featuring some crazy big STREET SKIDS!! Shoutout to @jaygmh.

Great car right there. Love how this turned out for you.. I owned a 97 VSII Interceptor and I just loved it. I thought about either putting a blower on the 5l or putting an LS in, but ended up selling and going for a blown VXII R8 Clubby. Also a great car I had many fond memories in. Stay safe and enjoy it! Loved the VK's VS and VX Holdens.

Hey I have the same car, and this would be the pinnacle of my build but mostly clean polished paintwork. If anyone has new guards or a bonnet for a VS in VIC/NSW Im interested. Maybe some cheap guards in VIC will do,
Also need some guidance diagnosing a few high rev issues and noises in the T5 gearbox. Just trying my luck mentioing.
new aftermarket panels are probably a better, cheaper, and quicker route

@@mydogzty theres definitely guards in stock I cant remember who makes them off the top of my head. but I ordered some in when I worked at autobarn and they fit better than I expected. I feel like I saw bonnets listed somewhere like rare spares. Didnt get one at the time as I couldnt find anyone with a new lion badge to suit the bonnet
@@mydogzty First issue diagnosed is a T5 itself. Had one... Then got reconditioned and was never the same. Go get a T56... Tough and handle power easily
If you can see a fat assed intercooler in the front you cant call it a sleeper its obviously boosted.

75mm isn't a big turbo bud, 80, 85, 88, 92, 98mm are big turbos mate but he hasn't got enough motor for those
Geez the term “sleeper gets thrown around a lot these days. Big f**k off front mount cooler and 36 inch GTSR rims take the sleeper aspect away. Cool car though.
you take the number plates off but have the owners face and name on there , make and model ... wouldn't be too hard for the cops to track you down and seize it for hooning

V6 and V8 had the same brakes. HSV were the only ones that had the option for a big brake kit.

I remember my old man bought a brand new 5L manual VS ute in ‘97 then lost his license for DD so it was parked in mums driveway for a year and I would nick it here and there. 2nd gear 3000rpm onwards was fuckn sick. Til ge kicked my arse when we gave it back with bald tyres
