Was raised in Silverton, it’s a wonderful small town. And yes the area is just beautiful! Nearby is Silver Falls State Park, ten falls are found on hiking trail within park. South Falls where you walk behind the falls is just spectacular!
I love Oregon! Visited it in 1988 in November. Was great without a lot of tourists. Must see: Silver and Golden Falls. These bulbs are a lot of work in Wisconsin because we have to dig them up. Wish someone would make dahlia and glad bulbs that we here could leave in the ground, zone 3 to 4. They are so beautiful.
suziq brown I’ve stayed at the Oregon Garden Resort several times. I love the gardens there. I have done a few video segments for TV. Not sure if any of them have made it to UA-cam yet. Thanks for watching!
The garden in Silverton, OR was so beautiful filled with so many bulb types of flowers. I think dahlias are probably my favorite. Your friend had a wonderful idea of growing blueberries as a hedge, I don't know which varieties are hardy in my zone 5a however I've never researched it. I love fresh raspberries just wish they didn't have thorns. I've heard of thorn-less blackberries but never thorn-less raspberries.... hmm this looks like another "Hey Google" moment to me! Thanks for this video Allen. I really needed a break from our blanket of white and bitter cold (it's 9º F here right now)!
Here in Louisiana I JUST WISH WE HAD SOME WINTER!!! This northern gal misses the 4 seasons. Although I have noticed the just awful stuff hitting the mid and east costs these last two months. Still.....
Who else is yearning for summertime right now?
Me!
I don't like the dog days of summer so when the temp goes past 90 I don't like it. Spring and fall are my fav
