I watched this video again and I just can't help but to thank you again, this was an eye opening experience. Thanks, thanks and thanks. Where is the SUPER LIKE button on youtube when you need it.
Very cool, thanks. I've been using Arnold for three years now, but I've never had a chance to do a deep dive. I had no idea this clip geo thing existed. I'm using it right now to add a groove to a CAD file that wasn't modeled in.
Is it possible somehow in this case to make intersection material so that it would generate different layers of masks from the edge of the model to the deep bin?
Hey Chad! awesome as always... it would be great if you could cover some of the AOVs workflow with the S&T render since I've been noticing that doesn't behave as espected in some passes like custom mask objects, diffuse, shadows, etc. Cheers!
Thanks. I have a question. when I render out an image made by toon shader, object lines are not smooth, while the same line in the alpha channle are completely smooth.
Hey, thanks for the tuto! Do you know any specific reason why I get the Disc 1/2 clipping only in Parallel projection with ortho_cam? Dunno how to fix it :(((
Not sure if has been mentioned as of yet but you can invert a gradient if you highlight them and then invert. It will swap the colors in their place.
I’d love ClipGeo for Redshift!
Super helpful, I think Motion Designers are gonna love this, thanks a lot Chad.

@@minimalfun Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great tutorial Chad. Looking forward to more c4dtoa stuff!
Thanks dude!
so good for those product render shots! Now I dont have to deal with the hell that is animating a boolean in c4d! awesome
Yah clip geo is super useful

Nice!
Hope to see you soon using the new Arnold 6
damn, thats a really cool feature
Yah, it's super fun to play with
Very useful Chad. Thanks. Going to get some use out of this tutorial
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Hell yes Chad! Arnold FTW!
6:10 So, you can choose an anisotropy texture for the clipping cube so the clipped motor block shows a CNC cut on its edges. NICE!
Verry Nice... Please more Arnold 6 Tutorials...
Super awesome tutorial Chad!
Thanks dood!
Awesome stuff Chad!
Thanks 👍
pretty cool!
Sweet video! Thanks!
Superb
Great tutorial!!!
Thanks 👍
Nice !! Thank you
You're welcome 👍

Great tutorial .Any chance that Redshift has something similar?
Thanks! Redshift unfortunately doesn't have clip geo or toon shading. They are supposedly working on a toon system though.

Hey Chad, files is missing. I think files url needs to be update. thanks for the tutorial

loving It..... Zing! Zing! It's Amazing !!!
when i put the distant lights on, the shadows are really noisy...how do i fix that
wow
Hey, thanks for the tuto! Do you know any specific reason why I get the Disc 1/2 clipping only in Parallel projection with ortho_cam? Dunno how to fix it :(((
Hard to say. Did you move the camera back and use "parallel"?
@@cgpov Back? Yes, I moved the cam from zeroed-out to similar position and also used Parallel
Why can't I see Clip Geo in my shaders?
please show us how to do the maya mash stuff griggs does on cinema4d chad! thank you master!
Самый медленный рендеринг, кроме Максвелла :-) Очень мощное оборудование под него надо, очень дорогое.
полностью согласен. Только щас gPU версию подвезли, может это все изменит.
