    Not sure if has been mentioned as of yet but you can invert a gradient if you highlight them and then invert. It will swap the colors in their place.

    Very cool, thanks. I've been using Arnold for three years now, but I've never had a chance to do a deep dive. I had no idea this clip geo thing existed. I'm using it right now to add a groove to a CAD file that wasn't modeled in.

    6:10 So, you can choose an anisotropy texture for the clipping cube so the clipped motor block shows a CNC cut on its edges. NICE!

    Is it possible somehow in this case to make intersection material so that it would generate different layers of masks from the edge of the model to the deep bin?

    Great tutorial .Any chance that Redshift has something similar?

    • @cgpov
      @cgpov 5 років тому +2

      Thanks! Redshift unfortunately doesn't have clip geo or toon shading. They are supposedly working on a toon system though.

    Hey Chad! awesome as always... it would be great if you could cover some of the AOVs workflow with the S&T render since I've been noticing that doesn't behave as espected in some passes like custom mask objects, diffuse, shadows, etc.
    Cheers!
