Todd's Tips #1 the Todd Turbo standard head button nitro glow plug performance mod

Here we discuss the Todd Turbo.
The Todd Turbo is essentially adjusting the gasket on a standard glow plug so that the plug sits as close to even with the combustion chamber as possible.
This can be done by simply using a copper gasket of the proper size, shaving the gasket down, or even using two gaskets if needed.

Hello todd/ I've stripped my nitro head button. I've a old os 15 nitro engine. my question is, will most head buttons fit/ Cheers

I'm running a sure fire 32 racers edge in my first gen losi 8ight t it's supposed to be the top of the line of those engines the axial the k blocks hpi all same manufacturer but it came with standed glow plug button so I swapped it out with the turbo button off my axial .32 it ND wat a different in throttle response ND seems to get more rpm out of it as well idk why they didn't go this route in the first place

The Sure Fire 32 was the second nitro engine I owned, I know it inside out and have one in the box. Kingstar(the"k" in k5.9 etc.) Made the axial big blocks and the k series engines and of course, the Sure Fire. I'll move it up in the cue for engine videos, keep an eye out!

@@NitroTalkwithTodd cool I'm also running the sealed backplate from the axail 32 on the surefire I really thinking of getting the crankshaft filled it's hollow ware the conrod mounts to it u no ware the one way bearing pin goes in it worries me u no ur not finding parts easy if something goes horrible wrong

@@samsonight2721 I converted a couple to bump start back in the day, but they really don't work well as buggy engines. They don't spool up and down quick enough. Maybe that's what you're trying to address with your mods.
