Been using it as my daily (The F105W) for some time now, and It gives great nostalgia from the iconic 91, while being a complete upgrade, and with everything perfected. Just flawless. Imo the best, here.
@@p7hyte Wear it. I was really missing it last evening. (I once had it but sold it off to slim down my collection). I was wearing ny day the W-59... And in the evening I put on the W-86. The F-105 would have "technicaly" solved that Problem. Because I love the slimness of the f91, but the EL of the F105/ or W86.
@@darioswatchclub8 Casio w86 is no longer available in my country. Ordering it from abroad would cost as much as three F105s. The price difference of F105W vs F91W is $1.00.
The F-92W is the watch of choice because of it's dodgy history and it doesn't boast of anything,it has the best colour layout- the gold F-92W model number is close to matching the screen LCD colour. The W-86 is a great functional watch but it's the green strips which make it look cheap and shouty about it's EL. I don't own a F-105 but it looks better than the W-86. Button press on the W-86 feels 'sweeter' but i find myself going for the F-92W and not worrying about the tiny light.
Finally. The most important video in the universe. I’ve looked for this one for my whole UA-cam life. Now I know that the answer is only inside myself. Thank you for showing me the way. I know that you are an artist, and I am a musician. But, of course Casio watches are way more important than any kind of art or music. In fact I suspect that your videos about watches get many times the number of views that your other videos get. It is this way with me. This is the way of the universe. Great video. I love Casio watches. Absolutely god tier! The Casio W-86 is, in my opinion, the perfect Casio. Great price, awesome functionality, and a super backlight.
@@darioswatchclub8 That backlight makes it the perfect Casio. It has all the features of the original F91W but you can use it at night. If it also had a countdown timer, I would probably never wear any other watch in my life.

I think the light on the Casio F 91W has improved recently, but I haven't seen anyone talking about it, so I don't know if it's really improved or if it's just me. In mid-2013 I had an F 91W that I ended up losing shortly after, but I remember the light only illuminated up to the first digit of the minute in completely dark rooms, you couldn't see more than that. Recently, I got another F 91W from my girlfriend, this time a gold series, it's beautiful, I had never seen one in person until then, only on the internet, and to my surprise, in my room, with everything dark at night, its light is on. illuminating the other end of the LCD, it is still a weak light compared to models that have "illuminator" technology, but I was surprised to be able to see the seconds count. Detail that I'm sure is original Casio. Has anyone else who bought or received an original F 91W recently noticed this?
I had the Casio 159 In Gold. Which is the F-91 Metal Version in Gold. That Watch cost a bit more. The Green LED had a better light than the F-91. But I don't know if the bewer F-91's have Improved as well. Would be really cool - But Casio and other Brands are also Always thinking about saving Battery.

F-91W is the most iconic digital watch yes shite light but much prefer the look of it than its bigger brothers...Theyre all cheap id deffo be going with the icon....
Yeah The F-91 is an Icon. It was my first Watch when I was a Kid. Its a classic. I used to wear the F-105 alot and than Only Wore the W-86. But the I think watches get used for different Ocassions and Seasons - Like Clothing. So you have your Winter Stuff, Your Summer stuff, Your Gym Clothes, your outgoing Clothes....same with Watches.
Love all of them and wear them, in a rotation system. I do not own the W86, since I do not enjoy the green pattern. I will also purchase soon the A168W. For the small prices, it made sense to buy them all, since I am a watch collector and a huge Casio fan. Very nice video!

I have all 3. I'd say F91 is the one. The other 2 bacause of the EL panel have a darker grainer lcd. This gets on your nerves after a while. Sure at 3am the light is better on the 105 and 86 but battery use is worse. F91 looks better as well imo. Cheaper obviously. 😊
@darioswatchclub8 W-202 (resin version of B640) is nice. The older models (late 80s early 90s) are my favourite, W48, W71, W720, DW200 series etc. These have mods 549, 690 or 1846 which imo are amongst the best Casio modules ever. Trouble is finding a decent one, but they are out there and are not that difficult to fix if need be. 👌🙂
I have a smaller wrist so the F-91W because its light, so u dont notice it on and the viewing angles are pretty good, super durable materials. I dont mind the weak backlight because i dont really use my watch at night and i rather have a thin watch hence the weaker backlight
F91 it is nice because just one thing, it is the most easy watch to wear, you will not feel it but this will come with naother unpleasant issue, beeing so small, the letters are small, so it is not for a person who wear glasses :))))) . a really pain in the ass when you are at the gy, running and need to see the time for some reasons...Another very important thing that a few review is telling you is that that stupid and very low light. i mean, very low, the most low light that you will ever see, all the videos are cheting, because the camera is higlight the video and it appear that you will have a decent visibility, but the reality is that you will see nothing...All the planet are telling them , to Casio that is a bullshit that light, they keep tell us that is ''history'' and will remain the same...So, as a light watch ,it is the best, also durable and water resistant, but if you struggle with visibility, a better option it is W800H....a little bit bigger, better in all the aspects, visibility, true light, but double as a weight...Not bulky as model G-shock if you have small hands :))))
If you can't get the W86 just go for the W105. I had the F91w and while it's dirt cheap it's just not that good. The backlight really is useless except in pitch black conditions.
Sorry, but I don't understand the question "which one" or the word "or" in the context of Casio watches. Isn't it just a question of the order in which you buy them? So there real question is: Which one to get first?
Start, with the F-91 and work your Way up^^ hahah. But I would go with the minimalist approach. Which One do you really need. Less is more. It allows more flow in your life. The Rest Clutters. I am guitly of that sin, but getting better.
I got the f105w. I was looking at the f91, but I'm glad I upgraded. The understated blue looks great, the size is perfect, the illumination is perfect and it only loses about a second a week. Being so cheap (affordable) I don't have to baby it.
I'm a woman and actually I have two Casio watches one is GMAS2100-1A in black and the other one is the f-105w. I really love both 💜. I really suggest those watches consider the price range. My intention is to buy another Casio "vintage" line watch in the future maybe in stainless steel. I have seen several models that I like and I still haven't chosen which one to buy.
I am looking for a watch I got interested, I have an analog watch but I just don’t think it looks well with my typical Highschool uniform, so I began looking into these :) they are very nice but I am having a very hard time choosing although I found some cool analog watches as well 😸
Well choose with your eyes, heart and wallet. See whars available, and start. Than you can iterate. The F 105 and W86 are great. Because they have a great backlight. If you want to go back to basics, the F91 is great too.
I have to say I am enjoying the W86 the most right now due to its chunkyness and the sliglty bigger bottoms to push. But again, that comes down to personal taste.
Also ich versteh echt nicht wie Casio die W86 rausnehmen konnte. Ich fand die echt ein wenig gehyped, trage in letzter Zeit tatsächlich aber viel die W86...einfach großer die Knöpfe und das Case. Just stumbled on this video late…. You ask, “do I need all these watches?” and then you talk about materialism. I don’t think you have the right understanding of what watches are to collectors. It’s not a material thing, they are little works of art on our wrists and they provide us enjoyment in that capacity. As an artist, I hope you can appreciate the art and not just think of watches as material items.
I totally feel what you say. Absolutely. A Watch is a Tool, but also a Piece of ART. But Still I wanted to give also the Thought of "Materialism and Collecting Watches"....DO WE NEED IT, or could we use our Energy better. But I think everybody has to answer the Question... And yes, we can have fun!

Bad backlight and no timer, can't get why Casio wount fix it, 4 buttons would be nice to! It is a nice watch around stuff it is light when you bang into stuff, not a stupid diverswatch. But why they cant fix it?!?
None of them. F91 Like its chrome twin, the A158 is an outdated model that is procrastinated. Infinitely better at a very similar price the W-202 in direct competition to the F91 and even better the minimalist all-black LW-204 which in my opinion represents the culmination of cost benefits in the Casio digital watch genre, and in fact exceeds in sense and "elegance" also the ultra-thin A700 series and the A1000 series with steel case which improve only some style and backlight. but mount old F91 module functions under the hood. the W-202-1AVEF or even better the LW-204-1BEF is very similar in price to F-91W-1YEG but they are better from all substantial points of view in this kind of product: 1 resistance to immersion in water 50 meters 5 bar 2 effective backlight in the dark or dim, the display reads really well 3 countdown function (which the other does not have) 4 improved alarm set function and flashing 5 slightly larger display characters 6 recessed adjust button, it is impossible to lose the setting accidentally 7 larger and more accessible keys 8 case without sharp edges lozenges and frames = less collection of dirt = less friction and entanglement with hair and clothing sleeves = more comfort in prolonged use. 9 slightly longer strap if needed at large wrists the W-202-1AVEF is the direct and updated "competitor" of the F91W if you roughly like that style with the writing and blue border ... it takes it up a lot, it is similarly more of a daily work watch. The LW-204-1BEF is better and particular than the W-202 from which it derives for an advanced and clean minimalism of the display (the display is also inverted) and the totally smooth strap. It is a watch that could easily be used with discretion even on more elegant and formal occasions without jarring. Considerations: These CASIO Collection product lines, are all made in China, the F91W and its more elegant wearable "steel" twin A158 is an old but extremely effective price watch with minor flaws of youth such as poor backlighting, lack of account backwards, the excessive ease of activation adjust the tearing of the hairs and the scratching of objects and the pulling of threads etc. From new originals to spending less it is difficult to find better, but often F91 and A158 given the numbers are also very counterfeit and it is easy to find yourself with a clone in hand. In my opinion, in this genre the best cost / benefit alternative since today even microwaves have the clock is the LW-204-1BEF because chromed (A158) or black (F91) we always talk about a digital watch with a resin case that it must have functions and be comfortable: 24grams and without thoughts of water etc., the discreet minimalist elegance is there and remains, but the functionality and practicality that analog watches will never offer, in this genre is more important.
Yeah the W202 is really great. The Specs are incredible. But the Band was a bit to long for me (the 50m water resist have longer bands) and the round look was not so much for me. The super thin casios are amazing! LCD Display and the orange Backlight are amazing.
I have a desk job as an Artist...and I dont know. I think I keep em in good Care. Something I try to do with all my stuff. But everyone is diefferent. And everybody uses Stuff differently. So...either chill, or change things ^^
I had it for a while. The skmei 1402 or Something like that. Had it for a while. The band was smoother, the backlight really cool...but It didn't resonate with me. Still a great warch...skmei 1412...the f91 copy.
@@snakemont Yeah, I actually have all four of those watches, the F91W, F-105, W-86 and the Skmei 1412, and I find that I wear the W-86 more than any of the others. I never wear the F91W, I dunno why (I'll just blame it on the backlight), I'll wear the Skmei when working on our cars, and I think I pick the W-86 because it has the most wrist presence of the four, and has the highest water rating, although I bet you could go swimming/snorkeling with all of these, and if they did leak, you just go buy another one. Yeah, these watches are in a very interesting space. Cheap, accurate, all the complications you really need, and true beaters, if you didn't care. And they have that retro charm. What more do you need?
Does anybody know if F-91 and F-105 got the same screen/glass size? I'm searching for a glass protector for my brand new F105, but those for F-91 seem to have much better availbility.

Not sure if you can "unlock" the timer function by soldering like the W-800 for instance. Not worth the hassle anyway in my opinion, if you want a vintage Casio with a timer just get a W-202/LW-204/B-640 (basically all the same with different straps and displays) OR frack Casio alltogether and get a Timex :-)
Don't shake the camera during filming, because it's terrible to watch. You must invest in tripod or gimbal. It will be bether for your next films. F-105 is very usefull and nice, but F91w is a legend. You should show backlight in the dark. It's importand in my opinion.

The W217H is worth consideration as well. Like a larger F91w with a decent backlight.
Absolutely. I just didn't get my hands on it yet. I got myself a W218 so that covered that spot in a way!
The W-59 should be the choice. Similar to the F-91W but with 50m water resistance, better strap and a more classic look.

Yeah I love the Clear Display. LDC's are ok. I love the Look and Colors of the F91. But the other ones Feel also great on wrist.

F-105 - superior backlight to the F-91W, and slightly smaller than the W-86. Also I prefer the blue color on the face than the teal of the W-86
I have to say the F-105 grew massively on me. It is more refined than the F91 and has all the slim advances of the F91 compared to the Bulkierer W86.

I feel you brother! Thats why I keept my Casio W-218H with the Orange Strap. Great Light and a Clear Display with Big Numbers.

Start, with the F-91 and work your Way up^^ hahah. But I would go with the minimalist approach. Which One do you really need. Less is more. It allows more flow in your life. The Rest Clutters. I am guitly of that sin, but getting better.
Buy all of them and then decide which one to wear.. they are quite affordable.. else W-86 looks cool according to me

I got the f105w. I was looking at the f91, but I'm glad I upgraded. The understated blue looks great, the size is perfect, the illumination is perfect and it only loses about a second a week. Being so cheap (affordable) I don't have to baby it.

All of those Casios are great. If you just need time, date, alarm and a stop watch. Plus a 10 year battery life all are good.
As soon as you need a watch usable in the dark, the F91 is out.

I'm a woman and actually I have two Casio watches one is GMAS2100-1A in black and the other one is the f-105w. I really love both 💜. I really suggest those watches consider the price range. My intention is to buy another Casio "vintage" line watch in the future maybe in stainless steel. I have seen several models that I like and I still haven't chosen which one to buy.

I am looking for a watch I got interested, I have an analog watch but I just don’t think it looks well with my typical Highschool uniform, so I began looking into these :) they are very nice but I am having a very hard time choosing although I found some cool analog watches as well 😸
Well choose with your eyes, heart and wallet. See whars available, and start. Than you can iterate. The F 105 and W86 are great. Because they have a great backlight. If you want to go back to basics, the F91 is great too.

I have to say I am enjoying the W86 the most right now due to its chunkyness and the sliglty bigger bottoms to push. But again, that comes down to personal taste.

Also ich versteh echt nicht wie Casio die W86 rausnehmen konnte. Ich fand die echt ein wenig gehyped, trage in letzter Zeit tatsächlich aber viel die W86...einfach großer die Knöpfe und das Case. My wrist size is about 6.75 inches, but f91w tends to not stay centered on my wrist. I'd like to get the w86 but its $40 in the US.

Just stumbled on this video late…. You ask, “do I need all these watches?” and then you talk about materialism. I don’t think you have the right understanding of what watches are to collectors. It’s not a material thing, they are little works of art on our wrists and they provide us enjoyment in that capacity. As an artist, I hope you can appreciate the art and not just think of watches as material items.
I totally feel what you say. Absolutely. A Watch is a Tool, but also a Piece of ART. But Still I wanted to give also the Thought of "Materialism and Collecting Watches"....DO WE NEED IT, or could we use our Energy better. But I think everybody has to answer the Question... And yes, we can have fun!

F91 Like its chrome twin, the A158 is an outdated model that is procrastinated.
Infinitely better at a very similar price the W-202 in direct competition to the F91 and even better the minimalist all-black LW-204 which in my opinion represents the culmination of cost benefits in the Casio digital watch genre, and in fact exceeds in sense and "elegance" also the ultra-thin A700 series and the A1000 series with steel case which improve only some style and backlight. but mount old F91 module functions under the hood.
the W-202-1AVEF or even better the LW-204-1BEF is very similar in price to F-91W-1YEG but they are better from all substantial points of view in this kind of product:
1 resistance to immersion in water 50 meters 5 bar
2 effective backlight in the dark or dim, the display reads really well
3 countdown function (which the other does not have)
4 improved alarm set function and flashing
5 slightly larger display characters
6 recessed adjust button, it is impossible to lose the setting accidentally
7 larger and more accessible keys
8 case without sharp edges lozenges and frames = less collection of dirt = less friction and entanglement with hair and clothing sleeves = more comfort in prolonged use.
9 slightly longer strap if needed at large wrists
the W-202-1AVEF is the direct and updated "competitor" of the F91W if you roughly like that style with the writing and blue border ... it takes it up a lot, it is similarly more of a daily work watch.
The LW-204-1BEF is better and particular than the W-202 from which it derives for an advanced and clean minimalism of the display (the display is also inverted) and the totally smooth strap. It is a watch that could easily be used with discretion even on more elegant and formal occasions without jarring.
Considerations:
These CASIO Collection product lines, are all made in China, the F91W and its more elegant wearable "steel" twin A158 is an old but extremely effective price watch with minor flaws of youth such as poor backlighting, lack of account backwards, the excessive ease of activation adjust the tearing of the hairs and the scratching of objects and the pulling of threads etc.
From new originals to spending less it is difficult to find better, but often F91 and A158 given the numbers are also very counterfeit and it is easy to find yourself with a clone in hand.
In my opinion, in this genre the best cost / benefit alternative since today even microwaves have the clock is the LW-204-1BEF because chromed (A158) or black (F91) we always talk about a digital watch with a resin case that it must have functions and be comfortable: 24grams and without thoughts of water etc., the discreet minimalist elegance is there and remains, but the functionality and practicality that analog watches will never offer, in this genre is more important.
Yeah the W202 is really great. The Specs are incredible. But the Band was a bit to long for me (the 50m water resist have longer bands) and the round look was not so much for me. The super thin casios are amazing! LCD Display and the orange Backlight are amazing.

If its based upon value for money and features the Skmei F91W copy is better than the Casio F91W
I had it for a while. The skmei 1402 or Something like that. Had it for a while. The band was smoother, the backlight really cool...but It didn't resonate with me. Still a great warch...skmei 1412...the f91 copy.
@@snakemont Yeah, I actually have all four of those watches, the F91W, F-105, W-86 and the Skmei 1412, and I find that I wear the W-86 more than any of the others. I never wear the F91W, I dunno why (I'll just blame it on the backlight), I'll wear the Skmei when working on our cars, and I think I pick the W-86 because it has the most wrist presence of the four, and has the highest water rating, although I bet you could go swimming/snorkeling with all of these, and if they did leak, you just go buy another one. Yeah, these watches are in a very interesting space. Cheap, accurate, all the complications you really need, and true beaters, if you didn't care. And they have that retro charm. What more do you need?

I dont know. I am not a moder (yet). You need to browse youtube...or get a Gshock or a skmeishock
Not sure if you can "unlock" the timer function by soldering like the W-800 for instance. Not worth the hassle anyway in my opinion, if you want a vintage Casio with a timer just get a W-202/LW-204/B-640 (basically all the same with different straps and displays) OR frack Casio alltogether and get a Timex :-)

Well feng shui might say no... And too much materialisic addiction can be bad. But sometimes you might use them for different occasions.
Don't shake the camera during filming, because it's terrible to watch. You must invest in tripod or gimbal. It will be bether for your next films. F-105 is very usefull and nice, but F91w is a legend. You should show backlight in the dark. It's importand in my opinion.
I will use a Tripod or gimbal. I promise. No more shaky cam. Yeah its true - the Backlight in the dark next time!
