  • When trying to mill short logs on a portable sawmill it can be a little tricky and in this video I'll discuss some of the challenges and things to do in order to get these small logs milled up.
On the woodmizer LT40 sawmill it's possible to mill very short logs but you'll have to sacrifice speed and possibly a board or two to get them done! Let's get to it!
Contact Joe Maine for your sawmill blades / bands! Give him a call at 229-563-1172

Here are some of the tools I use on the mill, to seal logs and the camera's I use to film videos:
amzn.to/3ILpmNG -- Juice Box Battery (keeps my cameras running)
amzn.to/3uRVubU -- Jackery 500 (how I charge up my batteries)
    amzn.to/3ONBa4b -- Anchorseal 2 -- it's what I use!
amzn.to/3kqIUuY -- my big cant hook
amzn.to/3LvOvfm - my small cant hook
    amzn.to/3oVnPuK - my main camera
amzn.to/3QoXwZO - This is the media mod I use to get better sound and more

[As many of you may know, making UA-cam videos is hard work! It can take this Old Jarhead 4 to 5 hours of editing (and a liberal amount of cussing) to edit one video! And thank you for the huge tip on how to back the blade up! I'll keep my wedges close for these occasions. If, after all thesr years it happens to you, it will absolutely happen to me. It's great that you'll include these blunders instead of editing them out.

These small pieces could make beautiful live-edge shelving and side tables.
