    Could you get the glowing particles suspended if say you poured in some resin, then some powder, then more resin, and used a pin or paperclip to stir it up? Great video!

      Thx for comment. FYI: this glowing powder - falls down.

    • @Vinwelder

      Patrick Domenici your idea would definitely work depending on the type of glow powder u get but you'd have to make sure to get a very fine powder otherwise, like the other person said, it would sink. Though the larger the particles in the glow powder the better the glow. Is definitely a good idea though for sure! 👍

    1. You should have an online store.
    2. And I'm sure that if you talk during the video, to make it more human and personal, this channel would have more than 1M subs.

      Also the song is VERY bad. Maybe you could find some nice ones at UA-cam Songs Channel.
      And I agree about talking, or alternating between silence and some sound. But these songs with samples and chipmunks singing are really annoying

    Are these epoxy resin same with those flooring resins?

    • @SmartBeast
      @SmartBeast  6 років тому

      No, Flooring resin is less transparently and less glossy. It's a casting resin.

      Hi, In this project I use oak wood. I always finds a piece of dry twigs or an old board.

    • @sarahgeer494
      @sarahgeer494 6 років тому

      Thank you for replying. Can the oak be purchased at a home center? Twigs around my house, nothing I could use for this ring.

      Use a popular type of wood in your area. You can use a piece of old furniture. Flea market? Cheap.. wooden hanger ;-)

      @SmartBeast  6 років тому +3

      Thank you for your care :-) I also think that you have to be attentive, but sometimes the process of filming (showing the technique) enforces such careless movements.

      Just like any project you will need to search for “ Resin jewellery Making for beginners “ to see the safety or just wear suitable PPE.. it’s not rocket science

    • @pplo

      I guess you should look for a drill number which fits on you, or the hands it will be sporting. Also you should try to make the inner walls thinner , so is more usable

    You see, this guy gets it. Why use a sanding belt to get the rough edges off when you can shave it off with an angle grinder like a mad man.

    • @SmartBeast
      @SmartBeast  6 років тому +1

      You save a lot of time and lungs (dust) ... do as you like. Thx 4 complement.. mad man ;-)

      Absolute.. MAD MAN

    • @pplo
      @pplo 5 років тому

      I also find his method very quick and practical, although kind of dangerous (not wearing a mask, because ripping off a finger with a angle grinder is not that easy)
      But I think that going fast sometimes calls for jumping sandpaper grits. I've done some work like that myself (not a ring) and used concrete (a flooring) as a coarse sandpaper, to get the shape effortlessly and quick. It worked, but it left some deep "channels" on the resin, that interferes with the best polishing finish.

      Burn through it. If you lack resources use a metal coat hanger and heat it with a torch. If you don't have a torch your cook top. Heat the wire and burn straight through the wood. Do this in a circular pattern (perforated) until you can snap out the waste. File or sand until smooth.
      Be safe and have precautionary measures standing by.
