I literally am laughing so hard that Cammie got “is a sweet potato a vegetable” and Taryn got literally the most in-depth sports history questions I cant hahahahah
Re the moral dilemma of choosing gender, I think the over arching societal concern would be if too many people prefer a certain gender, and then it might end up creating an imbalance. So, just my opinion- as long as your purpose for choosing gender is to have a balanced amount of boys and girls, then choosing should be fine. I'd have trouble with it if someone was selecting gender to just have like 3 of the same. I had my kids without fertility help, and was lucky enough to have 1 boy and 1 girl as I'd always dreamt, and I was so grateful the process was easy for me. I can only imagine being in your shoes, the system's stacked against you as a lesbian couple, and having no choice but to do fertility treatments. So I almost see the gender choice in IVF as a little perk/treat of having to go through such a tough way of having kids, at least you get a lovely little choice out of it. Best of luck to you guys whatever you decide 😌
Disagree because you still supporting a system that is inherently wrong. People will come up with all kind of excuses. Just love whoever comes in your life.
@@mariemaier5630fair for you to have your opinion and me to have mine. In my view, I don't see the whole system as flawed, but it can certainly be misused. So I'm a fan of letting people make their own choices as long as they're reasonable/ethical (which to me means balanced numbers of boys and girls so we don't contribute to an overall preference in society for one or the other). And I think saying "love whoever comes into your life" can be hard for people that need support like IVF to have a child, so I try to be empathetic to all the extra work/money they have to put in, and then what's a little balanced gender choice on top of that
Thank you for talking about this again. I've been thinking so much about all the things you said in other episodes, about ivf/babies. It really sounds like you talk about it like its something you order. It's ok if you don't agree, but thats the feeling I was left with. And it made me happy that it made you feel a bit uneasy this episode. It IS weird to choose the gender, wanting one of each, really care about how they should look ect. Kids is not something you should "order". Even if you "can". The baby will be perfect when they do it themself. I would NEVER want to be able to decide anything about my kid. He's perfect. He made himself perfect. I would hate to be faced with "I chose them to look like this - wouldn't I like them as much if they didnt look like what I "hoped" for?". Would fuck with my brain and feelings. It took me and my husband 19 times, naturally (and a lot of months with shots and everything), so I think thats also why it feels weird when you talk about it like something you can order, and talks about it as it will go smoothly. You might not agree at all, but for me thats how it came across and what it made me, as a mother who had such hard time to get pregnant, feel. Also - how could you leave out HOT DOGS in the name of this episode? haha
You said eggs and flour 😅. Happy anniversary btw 🥳 On another note, for some reason, I am not able to access Discord. I keep getting an error. Does it need a VPN, or is it available worldwide?
Hello, there are PPs from across the world in the Discord channel. I'd recommend downloading the mobile app or the desktop app, then searching for "staying up" or specifically "staying up group chat". It looks like the only countries that have banned Discord are China, Egypt, Iran, North Korea, Oman, and UAE. So it should be available everywhere else :)
U can pick the sex of your baby! That’s crazy. I’m also from UK and last week I asked my sister do you think the world will find a way to pick the sex of kids one day and your saying it’s actually a thing right now? Lol I’m shocked 😅
Even though Taryn got all the answers wrong, I love that you both have common knowledge of the world and general events (outside USA). I see a lot of videos that shows american people saying crazyyyy things about the most basic questions, like "where is brazil on the map" and people answering "asia"........... I know that is a small slice of reality, but looking from outside it looks like americans think that you're all a global power blablabla and "why we would even care about learning thing from the rest of the world?" hahaha I love that you both DO NOT look like this i'm from brazil, btw and me and my wife love to watch you from here
Thanks for another great episode! I was totally expecting there to be some kind of snap as part of the FANOS thing, since it really sounds like Thanos.
the picking the sex issue is definitely hard and there’s no right or wrong. I’m from Europe and it isn’t allowed here which I understand as it’s meant to make things “fair” I guess, and also is a bit more natural (for lack of better word) in the sense that it’s still a surprise to find out the sex the same way couples do who get naturally pregnant. Then on the other hand it’s also good to let people pick because there’s so many moms out there with multiple kids just so they can get the sex they want. Like how many moms are on social media for example with 4 boys and who continues to have more kids until she gets a daughter because then how is that gonna make her other kids feel? They probably feel really unwanted so if getting to pick solves that then it’s a good thing
About the moral dilemma, don’t don’t do it because other people can’t. You shouldn’t stop doing things you have the privilege of being able to do just because other people can’t, if it were like this we shouldn’t eat anything because there are so many people in Africa who have nothing to eat. You shouldn’t live based on what other people can or can’t do. Much love ❤
I don’t think that’s what Cammie was doing lol. She’s questioning why it would be banned everywhere else except in the US - as in are they right and we haven’t realised it’s actually wrong kinda thing. She’s questioning the morality of it, not, not wanting to do it just because everywhere else doesn’t.
Seriously though I didn’t realize there was a really negative connotation to boymom. Lol I am not gonna use that anymore also because my child’s gender doesn’t determine the SLIGHTEST how much I love them.🤍
petition to have collab ep with rose & rosie
Love Rose and Rosie and Cammie and Taryn ❤❤
it’s Rose that is carrying this time right?
@@Oneness298 yes It’s Rose , fingers crossed for a smooth pregnancy. 🐸🐸🐸🐸

This episode had me CACKLING😂 I love looking forward to this part of the week❤️

great point!! we definitely want to have one of each which is why we want to pick so that we can do that! haha I love that outlook of the little perk
