You called the Ginger Jar at the 18:43 mark a Vase. It's Not a vase, it IS a Ginger Jar.. Most of the valuable stuff at that sale was priced at Ebay prices, not resale opportunities.. Stunning check-out. Nice deals!!
Love your way of explaining what your looking at and estimated value. I plan on retiring in a few years and want to become a picker. I’m learning a lot thanks to you and other pickers to prepare me for my early retirement. Daisy is a cutie! I love my fur babies too!
That Vase was an Ginger Jar or Urn and wasn't Cloisonne it was just an enameled painted metal vase. Cloisonne will have thin brass around each and every flower and leaf and usually the bottom of them are blue in color.
I've got different comments about that in here. Some say it was a ginger jar, some say a vase, and some say cloisonne ginger jar or case. Either way, I definitely have more to learn on this topic!
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter yes, so much to learn as you go Dom, especially as you are starting to broaden your horizons on purchasing different items not in your wheel house or niche. Takes time but you learn as you go. I'm still learning as well with glass and pottery.
I usually go to estate sale on the last day 3 or 4 hours before it's over. Most everything is 75% off and most free. No one wants to haul it all away. I never go the 1st day, because everything is priced way to high.
Hey Dom. I love that you show the way there and you went behind the house to show us the land. What an amazing property. If that house could only talk. Prices were quite high but you managed to find a couple winners as always. Thanks for sharing. See you next time.
Very fun sale and great finds! What a beautiful estate. Pretty sure that was a ginger jar as vases don’t typically have lids. Love all that free stuff! Nice of you to protect it from the rain. Great little sturdy table for a perfect magazine holder! Daisy is such a love. That perch! She’s a collector too.
OKAY Dom, the 1960s Vintage Chinese Copper Blue Pink Lotus Blossom Cloisonne Lidded Ginger Jar Urn, yup, I would have paid the $50 yup I would havee. Also the Fontanini Nativity items are a total BOLO. They are made in italy, yes out of some special kind of plastic/resin and should have a small spider on the bottom. Hey Dom, this summer I went to an estate sale on the last hour and they were giving away anything left over, free. There were 3 huge boxes of those GAME mags. I got a few for my husband. Didn't even bother looking them up. Can you hear me slapping and kicking myself. That's how we learn.
You should learn about porcelaine made by the Sevres factory in France for the mistress of Louis XV King of France. Madame Pompadore liked pink which your little pink plates with the dragon on it reminded me of. But Pompadore pink was a great Rococo color for dishes. Fun video! Thanks
Wow their pricing on the cast iron was steep, the griswald big block straight logo number 8 is a common worth about $40 and the chrome #5 big block straight logo is worth about $20 clean and reseasoned. With griswald the better ones will have a gate mark ,spider, says just "erie" at top, if you ever come across one, look it up or definitely buy, the big block logo that is slanted is the older stuff too. Always be on the look out for #13 worth paying up to $1000 can flip, for $2-$3000, some # 3, some #1, and #20 are huge money. ✌🏼💚🙏🏻
Nice haul Dom!! When you decided to leave the toilet brush behind, I said to myself that he should give a double-tap and you did not disappoint!! LOL No question on picking free stuff when the opportunity presents itself. Looks like Daisy is getting ready for possible AGT auditions!! 🙂

😂 Chris! I was on it!
I loved Daisy’s dance!
Hey Dom, this summer I went to an estate sale on the last hour and they were giving away anything left over, free. There were 3 huge boxes of those GAME mags. I got a few for my husband. Didn't even bother looking them up. Can you hear me slapping and kicking myself. That's how we learn.
Oh no! But you are right! That’s how we learn! Happens to all of us though. Thanks for watching!
You should learn about porcelaine made by the Sevres factory in France for the mistress of Louis XV King of France. Madame Pompadore liked pink which your little pink plates with the dragon on it reminded me of. But Pompadore pink was a great Rococo color for dishes. Fun video!
Thanks
Fontanini can be very collectible. Pieces retire. They look like wood, but are plastic.
Correct but the prices on these were way too high
Wow their pricing on the cast iron was steep, the griswald big block straight logo number 8 is a common worth about $40 and the chrome #5 big block straight logo is worth about $20 clean and reseasoned. With griswald the better ones will have a gate mark ,spider, says just "erie" at top, if you ever come across one, look it up or definitely buy, the big block logo that is slanted is the older stuff too. Always be on the look out for #13 worth paying up to $1000 can flip, for $2-$3000, some # 3, some #1, and #20 are huge money. ✌🏼💚🙏🏻
Thanks for the tips!!!
That is the same Narnia boxed set I have from the late 70s.
CooL!
Also, those christmas postcards were in non-archival cling photo album pages. Big no-no.
Good point!
She is precious!
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing your experience with us
I am soaking it up 😊
Thanks Laurie! I appreciate you watching!
Great Video.
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing so much valuable information!
Thanks for watching!
Nice haul Dom!! When you decided to leave the toilet brush behind, I said to myself that he should give a double-tap and you did not disappoint!! LOL No question on picking free stuff when the opportunity presents itself. Looks like Daisy is getting ready for possible AGT auditions!! 🙂
LOl Dave. Thanks! Daisy would crack me up on AGT!
Daisy ALL FIRED UP!
She does not like her toys to go out of reach lol
Holy crap ! Those plates ! Really pretty actually. I find it so hard to keep the Important makers names in my brain. .. Dang good deal on all that stuff....I guess they really just wanted to move it
Best way to remember that Minton is good is the word Mint in Minton. Reminds me of excellence!
