So the county OSHA and Fire Marshall were here. We were cited with 349 health, safety and fire violations and needed to resolve all matters prior to Tuesday. If all goes well, we will re-open for business. In this video, I cover many things about passing a safety and fire Marshall inspection .

Can you do a more detailed video on the door hinge rearrangement? The doors open inwards on my 1999 Honda Civic and I would like them to open out. Any advice?

Dont swap them around, you can park in much tighter spaces with inwards opening doors. Beats exiting through the sunroof!
If he's smart he'll flip the door upside down hinges and all. Problem solved.

About that low pressure fire extinguisher; carefully.place it on the coffee pot heating grate, and leave it there for about 20~30 minutes. Ought to bring the pressure up, to a passable level.

Crikey,you are lucky to still be alive! Who would of thought you were facing death at every turn. My mum once stopped me getting a motorbike because they were dangerous but was happy for me to fix my push bike in the garage. What a hypocrite! She could of killed me! People need to stop and think before calling motorbikes dangerous.

The fire Marshall is going to be so impressed you are in compliance he'll just say, "now that's a bad-ass work shop". Don't give him free stickers and twisty ties tho'. That takes a bite out of the profit margin. Besides, he could say you are trying to bribe him. It could get messy. Thank you, these are some very helpful hints. I'll get on the replacement extinguishers at my garage. Something tells me this video gave the Marshall a heads up how out of compliance it is.
In Sweden, many industries and workshops now have their own defibrillators put up in case of an accident. Those are pretty expensive however, and I am pretty sure someone as handy as you would be able to come up with a more affordable alternative.

We use old coffee cans to store loose nuts and bolts. Safety dept wrote us up for not indicating that the contents of the cans was not food. The best is last summer when they zip tied signs across the rungs of all the ladders warning that ladders can be trip/fall hazards.
I got a bollocking for using a step ladder without having received training on how to use one. They got really mad because at first I thought they were joking.
I need to get ladder certified. I can't reach things on the upper shelves
Years ago, while working as a tour leader, I took passengers to a beach, on a tour which was being H&S monitored. I failed, as I had neglected to warn people of the danger of tripping and falling over in the soft sand.

I was a supervisor for a roofing company in another life and when the OSHA inspector would show up I would tell my crew to take lunch and the rest of the day off...
No crew...No problems...No violations (that we knew of) :)

I was actually working at a gas station one summer where a guy stole...I mean, picked up one of our fire extinguishers.
Granted, his car was on fire when he drove up to the pumps. But still, after putting his car out, he drove off with the thing.

I don't think you will pass, you need mechanical ventilation when you're brewing and welding, I'd suggest a hairdryer and PVC pipe. Then you will indeed be badass my man. Keep up the good work.
