When in the New Forest, Do as the New Foresters Do!

- Is there anything other than walking and cycling in the New Forest?
We're only stopping off for the 1 day to break up a long drive to Weymouth but the New Forest really is a lovely place to visit if you want to hire bikes or go for a long walk. I don't really know if there's much else to do there lol it's really set up for camping and cycling, at least that's how I always view the New Forest.
Unfortunately we can't stay overnight in any of the car parks, we thought about chancing it but didn't want to get kicked out in the middle of the night so we bailed. To be fair though all the car parks are free all day so you just need to leave to sleep and then you can spend the whole day there for free.
After a brief stop off in the New Forest and a tiring bike ride we headed down to Weymouth for family camp! Our annual family camping trip has come around again already. It was great to catch up with everyone and we're looking forward to the next 4 days!

I enjoyed the video. It's interesting to see what you and your family get up to. Also, I've been to Britain twice. Mostly I toured London, but also saw a bit of the countryside.
We’ve had quite a busy summer so far and we’re in Cornwall at the moment, I’m waiting for the tumble dryer 😂 there’s so much of the UK to visit and yeah it’s great to explore other parts of Europe too but most people I know just book an all inclusive hotel somewhere for a week and sit on a beach. We did that 6 years ago although we didn’t sit on the beach much but I remember it cost £2,000 whereas this holiday we’re on now I think including fuel and campsites / activities for 2 weeks is about £500. Granted we have the van but it’s been so much fun so far without ever leaving the country 😊

mint chocolate chip-3 scops says it all. We rented from the exact same shop and then went back and bought our first bikes from there. Good times. So if that's the new forest, where is the old one. The Rangers protect the ponies from being stolen. So necessary. I used to work as a TA in Sparsholt and heard all about it.
Ah that makes sense, it’s so lovely to see the wild animals just roaming around blocking the roads 😂 I rented bikes from Burley with my mum when I was young, I feel like I’m re-living my childhood 😄
