I love those yellow flowers, After 40 years that place will become a forest, I admired your family for planting and taking care of those trees, for sure the next generation of Icelandic will remember your family .. :)
Hi Finn it's 2am here in the Philippines and I can't help watching your video. I really love your videos. Please keep on making awesome videos. Cheers.
your dad did a good job in raising you. he taught you to love nature and take care of it. He must be very proud. #welldonedad ...keep up the good work! Your videos are inspiring :)
what a pleasure to see a flourishing video from FinnFilms in what could be the Elysian fields instead of the land of ice and fire. It's heartwarming to know the trees are thriving and many beautiful flowers surround you. Many honours to you and your family for nurturing the wildlife in Iceland (and during your trips). May you always feel free as a bird.
My favorite Icelandic volcano is Snæfellsjökull, because it is the mountain that Jules Verne chose to be the gateway into the planet in Journey to the Center of the Earth. The novel was first published in 1864 and first made into a movie in 1959, starring Pat Boone, James Mason, Arlene Dahl, Dianne Baker and an Icelandic decathlete, Pétur Rögnvaldsson, who used the name Peter Ronson in Hollywood. Sometime when you are back home, it would be great if you could take us to or near Snaefells. It is probably one of the most famous volcanoes in Iceland, all because of a 153-year-old science fiction story. I realize it's a 2.5 to 3 hour drive from Reykjavik. But if you're traveling around, it would sure be nice to see some video about it. I really enjoy your tours of Iceland. I love hearing the language spoken, so when you tell us the names of the mountains, it always sounds so cool. I always look forward to your videos, Finn. They keep getting better and better. Good work.
Oh wow I had just commented about Mt. Snæfells on the previous video, that brought a smile to my face. I'm only familiar with the 2008 movie version of Journey though :)
The 2008 version, with Brendon Fraser, is not an actual adaptation of the novel, per se. Instead, it's about some modern scientists who believe Verne's writings to be factual, and follow the path in modern times. It's a fun movie though. I remember watching the 1959 film at many matinees at the Century Theatre in Toronto, when I was a kid, not to mention its TV appearances. If you get a chance to see it, see the original. There have been many TV and theatrical versions between these two as well, but I haven't seen them. I just thought it would be fun if Finn could show us the mountain.
Now that you mention it, I think I will go watch it. I remember I watched the 2008 version because my mother said she immensely enjoyed the 1959 version.
despite the less trees, i'm still fascinated with your beautiful landscape! my tongue got twisted over the names of your volcanos :) whew! looking forward to your next vlog.
EPIC!!!! GREAT VIDEO!!! love nature... the field of yellow flowers( that matched your shorts... hahaha!), the bird eggs in your backyard, the bird on the nest, the bird you were holding and released... .. and your INFORMATIVE NARRATIVES .... a little overcame with volcanoes names and you really sounded very good producing those flippant sounds. I am sure your Dad's legacy will be the environmental beautification with the planting of thousands of trees. ...who could do that? Hooorrray! to Iceland! More videos. pls.
Thank you! Im from the U.S. but if anyone anywhere in there world are helping the environment and grow tree's im all for it. So thank you. You guys are making the world a better place.
I'm a Cebuana and my husband is from Iceland and I'm currently living in Iceland with him it's a very beautiful country it's breath taking to be honest 😍😍though language is hard to learn pero madala ra gihapon ug smile😂
Love those yellow flowers and the shorts 😂😂😂😂. ..If ur working in China and watching ur videos I need to endure watching the Chinese adds only to support u Finn ,it's the only thing that I can contribute😁..thumbs up sa mga ofw jn.
Wow! Beautiful country. thanks to you and to your family for caring and giving back to our mother earth by planting trees, those tiny birds will have their home soon!
Wow! What a beautiful place.thank you for showing ice land to us finn.and that flowers and birds are so amazing.such a good thing you and your family planted all those trees.bless u
After a toxic day in the office, an introvert person like me need to relax --- alone! The shots of flowers, that bird at 0:10-(is that a quail?), trees and never ending wide horizon are my medicine. Your talent and skill are getting better... and better. It feels like Im in a spa. At first I thought there is a commercial for air freshener or fabric conditioner brands because there are computer generated flowers on the background but wow! those are real acres of flowers! LOL! ... BTW I am amaze about how Icelandic community give importance in tree planting and wildlife preservation! Im envious. I wish a committed Philippine community to protect our fragile ecosystem too. ------------and ops ! I like hekla volcano...coz i dont have to smash my keyboard while typing the name!
As always, awesome editing. I visited Iceland a couple of years ago in early March to see the northern lights so the whole landscape was still covered with snow and ice. Amazing country and super friendly people. I even found the only Filipino restaurant in Reykjavik called Harry's. Have you tried it? Everything is just very expensive compared to US prices. I would love to go back during the summer to really enjoy the beauty of Iceland.
one thing we had in common is the love for nature finn, and exploring the diff places unknown to many and that's why i keep on watching your vlog.. your video shot were amazing bdw, keep 8 up..
Look! A Snow in its natural habitat! Haha. Iceland is amazing. It's one in my bucketlist. I didn't know that trees hardly grow there. I appreciate the effort your family is doing to try to grow trees, it's somewhat heartwarming. In Palawan, specifically in Puerto Princesa, we have a forest festival there wherein every citizen is invited to plant trees at a location specified by the organizers. It happens in the month of June. One of the weird things about it though is that the city's mode of transportation to the site are garbage dump trucks! They clean these trucks before "hauling" people to the site from pickup locations but it's still quite weird. Another tree planting event there is called Love affair with Nature held in the month of Feb if I remember right. The difference is this festival is held in mangrove beaches, people plant mangroves which as you know are found in coastal waters. Back to Iceland, I wonder if you'll ever show us some Northern Lights? I havent seen the other video you posted maybe you filmed some there. Love this video and keep it up. Is that a canola field or a natural growth? Cheers, Finn!
that's an awesome advocacy man taking care of the environment. keep it up! Hope one day I can also travel Iceland just curious about your place. BTW I'm from Phils.
The tropical weather of the Philippines gave the country lots of luscious tropical fruits. Shrubs and fruit bearing trees didn’t like cold weather, the tenacious Pine trees are the one that grows and survive in the places like Alaska and Iceland , so even if the Philippines is hot and humid, it’s blessed with natural resources.
it's so nice to start my morning watching your blog while drinking tea in the morning to start a new day in Singapore.Hope someday I can visit your country.
The world will protect you as how you protected the world. Such good heart from your family to plant trees where it can change your environment and how the world will view Iceland. Beautiful land made even more beautiful by people like you.
Awesome!!! giving back to Mother nature by planting more trees. In the near future this will be a real Bird sanctuary increasing its population and species. Love it...thanks for sharing Finn.
Winter in Baguio, Philippines is just summer time in Iceland haha.. It's very nice of your family to pioneer tree planting, other people may follow and maybe one day will come there will be large forests in Iceland.
Everytime I watch your videos/vloggs, I can easily connect to the place where you're in. And, what I like most in your videos, you have shown passion and heart... That's what makes you an incredible vlogger. Thanks for featuring Philippines and embracing our culture. More power! =)

It's amazing one, if you want to research volcanoes the one most vital in our history would be "Laki".. The deadly one.
