Is through your words. When you are able to move beyond what is good

In my pain, I'm choosing to forgive. Like you said doc, the offender wasn't entirely a bad person, otherwise we'd never have formed relationships with them. Indeed forgiveness is for me and not the other party

Thank you. I was having issues with forgiving someone mainly because I believe the are not sorry. It not the first but this time they did something to intentionally hurt me. I prayed for them and know that forgiveness is for me, but still couldn’t find in my heart to truly forgive him. The way you broke it down, is softening my heart e solve/heart. Forgiveness is golden. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Forgive, so that you will be forgiven.
Forgiveness may be difficult, but the way I made it easy to forgive, is by recognizing that we are an integral part of the ever forgiven, Cosmic Good/God, as such we all have good in us. Further, recognizing that something must have been completely off, in the perpetrator's psyche that led to him or her perpetrating the negative act on me or others, and recognizing that sometimes, the negative behavior may not be intentional, especially if it's not repetitive.
Upon waking up daily, I first thank God for waking me up. I ask for forgiveness for unknown and known negative actions thoughts or words against self and others. I also send thoughts of forgiveness to anyone who has offended or hurt me in any way shape or form. I send thoughts of healing, perfect health, oneness, love, peace, success, beauty and all that is good to self and to everyone. Right after, I feel very happy, free, at peace, and wholesome.

Dr.K , I thank God in my heart is not space for hates any one. I have tell my X husband sorry I don't hate him not at all but for me it's ready with him But he perseguite me, last year he tell that he give me 7 mouth . I know that I have to forgive my self for a lot I do to my self . Me be my behaviour to others hurt by knowing or un knowing. Wao! I love the reconciliation aspect. So many people believe or think you must reconcile totally after a hurt. You have spoken my mind concerning reconciliation. Forgiveness is a must. But I need clearance here: when the same person you kept on forgiven kept on hurting you controlling you as well;and these are people you are close with;what do you do ?
Maintain a strict boundary.
No one should control anyone.
How do u do this? Every time you remember the other party's actions, the bitterness comes back automatically.

Hello Dr. Jacob, I thank you for your teaching on forgiveness. But what about forgiving someone who planned to take your life. Do you forgive and let yourself at the mercy of the one that you forgave? How do you know that they will do more damage to your life?
