Not sure if you know it but there is a little key inside your remote in case the battery dies in it and there is a key hole under the little plastic piece on the end of your door handle. Got to pop that off to get to the key hole. And if your remote is dead yoy have to take out the rubber mat in your cup holder in your console and there is a little hole there. Just place your dead remote in there and the car can still read it and you can start your car.

the new ones make 460hp, 480 for bullitt, 526 hp gt350, the base model gt stock will probably make 500hp in a few more years. the mustang is going to turn into a borderline supercar. (the 2020 gt500 is obviously a supercar). Turning off traction control in my 2016 gt reminds you to not underestimate these cars.
So that you understand, it's a sequential number for each color followed by the RGB values Example: 3 1 1 3 Dusty Blue means 3rd color on the list / 1 Red / 1 Green / 3 Blue makes Dusty Blue
I have had GT mustangs for the past 15 years. I have learned that you can put all kinds of addons but if you are looking for more power and to go fast, save your money and get a supercharger. More Horsepower means more speed. You can do muffler tricks and CAI and those other little gadgets, but More power means more torque = more speed. If you are happy with your HP then put some good headers on it do a muffler delete and finish it out with some hardcore pipes. It will sound way beefier and it will add a few horses. If you are in it for the looks, forget mufflers and exhaust for now. Put some sweet wheels and tires on it and some nice effects on the car. Mustangs are to me the best car on the market to do upgrades on. You just have to choose which way you want to go. Good luck. Oh, one more thing. This is my opinion. You can buy a new Mustang GT and put a supercharger, pipes, wheels, and all kinds of other bells and whistles on it and get it up to around 700+ hp. It will cost you in the mid to high 50's. Or you can go buy a Shelby GT for 152k (price of the window sticker at the ford lot here) and it will be very close in the 1/4 and top end. I don't have 152k and I enjoy building the car myself. My last 2015 had 900hp and the car cost me 22K with 5000 miles on it. Your choice.

Byron Sorto my 2005 has this feature but halfway through the year they disabled it. I got an early 2005. Good feature. I love mine. Glad they brought it back.
Hey also bud, if you didn't know this already, if your remote runs out of battery. You can get in the car with the key by looking under the backside of the door handle and using the key to put in the little space, push it back while doing that and it pops off to reveal a keyhole to unlock the car. Also when you get in, look under the rubber drink holder and remove it to reveal a hole that you can stick you fob in so that the car can verify that it is a wireless key fob. Hope this helps :)
AdvanceTrac off turns off TC and Stability Control. I own a 2016 Mustang GT with Performance Pack. Please don't mess around with AdvanceTrac off on the street! The only time I turn all of the systems off is when I am at the track and let me tell you, the car will pull some nasty full opposite lock drifts with everything off. Great for the track, but not something I want to surprise me on public roads
I agree. What happens when you are going down the interstate at 80 mph and have to do a sudden lane change to avoid something and the only thing saving your ass is stability control. I am all for getting to know your car and pushing your skills to a new level as a driver but when I am driving for several hours on the interstate (or something similar), I am certainly not paying the amount of attention or putting the care into my inputs like I do on the track. Stability control can be an absolute life safer in day to day situations such as those

But what happens if some jackass cuts in front of you on the highway and them slams on their brakes and the only way you can prevent yourself from hitting is using the clear area to the left or right of you (a sudden lane change)? I agree that is a very unlikely situation but stuff happens on the road and I just feel like we might as well take advantage of life saving technology such as stability control

Love your car bro, when customizing, key words are "your car", so do what you call afford and just enjoy your ride. Couple of things to remember, a few might mods won't really affect your car. But when you start getting into high performance stuff, they usually cause things to wear out quickly which in turn costs you more $$$. Something to think about 🤔😁

As long as its a stand alone option... not included in any package... Replacement 2011-2014 S197 headlights are still $200 for the Euro plan lights... and any LED halo lights similar to the OEM are $300 for a set. 2015-2017 headlights are $2,599 for a replacement set. In four to five years you'll be paying a pretty penny for that stuff... Tech has been out for a long time now and it still will cost you a 1/4 of the price of the car to replace if they go wrong.
They are going with Magna ride on all mustangs for 2018. Bummed since I already bought the 2017. I'll just have to get some koni yellows to go with my eibachs, won't be as good as magnaride but still pretty decent.
Greb Nitty Correction it is an option for all 2018 it isn't standard equipment... you could also just save the bread and buy it... but then you would be greeted with sticker shock and realize how much you'd have to pay every couple dozen thousand miles
The mods come when they come, I bought an 05, first of new stangs with a 4.6, I spent 10k in mods, then few years after Ford put the 5.0 in, what a piss off, I could just barely beat the stock 08 with a 5.0 Coyote, so before you spend, start with the 5 0 at least, and manual trans a must, best first mod a 410 rear end trust me, then headers and pipes, you won't regret it.
It's gonna sound stupid straight piped based on the cars I hear. I love the stock sound of my 5.0 but want it louder. I heard a few cars around with great but never going the same way to ask about it.
I think that rpm-meter is getting red just to awarrn you not to blow off Your engine, cause 7000rpm can be a bit too much even for turbocharged muscle car , specialy if it is still stock...

lm pretty sure my car salesman explained all these features to me in his sales pitch, but then if you read your owners manual that explains all the features this car has to offer and how to personalize them.
There is also a way to go into a sort of troubleshoot mode on the center display that allows showing digital vehicle speed and some other things... i found it here on you tube somewhere...
While the car is running. Hold the brake and traction control button for 10 seconds it will turn off traction control and advance track. Now you are in old school mode. Lol.
I think the rev gauge turning red is prob only available for premium only cause my base model track pack doesn't do that....base model owners really do get a major short end of the stick lol

What camera are you using? A lot of people get gopro or sony action cam. And external mics for exhaust sounds etc. But I ordered a diff action cam (victsing)and all the accessories with it 130 bucks all in.

The 05-09 mustangs the dash changes colors in settings. Not sure if all s197’s do it but i know the GT’s and Bullits do..
They do have yellow! You have to create it using the MYCOLOR to create custom color.

You know if you click the traction control button twice while your foot is on the brake it puts it into sport mode.
In the Premium model with Perf Pack, there is a separate drive mode button that accomplishes the same thing.

Nope, MagRide will be an available option for all mustangs, but it will not be standard equipment for any mustang except for the GT350R.
another thing you didnt know before buying your mustang: you can make yellow in the color options by mixing the right colors

The mods come when they come, I bought an 05, first of new stangs with a 4.6, I spent 10k in mods, then few years after Ford put the 5.0 in, what a piss off, I could just barely beat the stock 08 with a 5.0 Coyote, so before you spend, start with the 5 0 at least, and manual trans a must, best first mod a 410 rear end trust me, then headers and pipes, you won't regret it.

A shift light is about 150,and an hours work, I drag so for me a must.

It's gonna sound stupid straight piped based on the cars I hear. I love the stock sound of my 5.0 but want it louder. I heard a few cars around with great but never going the same way to ask about it.

I think that rpm-meter is getting red just to awarrn you not to blow off Your engine, cause 7000rpm can be a bit too much even for turbocharged muscle car , specialy if it is still stock...

lm pretty sure my car salesman explained all these features to me in his sales pitch, but then if you read your owners manual that explains all the features this car has to offer and how to personalize them.

There is also a way to go into a sort of troubleshoot mode on the center display that allows showing digital vehicle speed and some other things... i found it here on you tube somewhere...

Have you done the window thing with the keyfob? If you click it then click & hold it for like 5 seconds the windows go down
While the car is running. Hold the brake and traction control button for 10 seconds it will turn off traction control and advance track. Now you are in old school mode. Lol.

I think the rev gauge turning red is prob only available for premium only cause my base model track pack doesn't do that....base model owners really do get a major short end of the stick lol
How do you have ambient light and your gauge light turned on during the day? Did you cover the sensor or is there a setting for it?

I think you meant your cats. Try this before you remove them. Remove your resonator, H-pipe and flowmasters mufflers, or your choice on the mufflers. No cats are REALLY loud..

What camera are you using? A lot of people get gopro or sony action cam. And external mics for exhaust sounds etc. But I ordered a diff action cam (victsing)and all the accessories with it 130 bucks all in.
