Random comment on the spider plants and cats. So my late kitty, Isabel loved chewing on my baby spider plant. It was on the edge of my desk and I kept a chair next to my desk because she loved to sleep there while I worked. She passed in October and seeing the one remaining leaf that still has her teeth marks on it always makes me smile. I hope that leaf never dies but if it does start to turn I'll probably preserve it. ❤
As a plant noob, I’ve been having the best luck at Walmart. They almost always have big discounts on plants that need just a little TLC. Makes it a lot easier to get my collection going without investing a ton of money. Really enjoy your videos Ashley and you’re teaching me a lot! 🌱👍
I love how your “haul” is 2 items. What self control! I had to stop going by Lowe’s bc the plants are taking over, and I’m running out of window space. I pass right by it on my way home, and I ONLY buy from the clearance area, and I’ve had the best luck. I’ve also gotten to know the workers, so if I see a plant that I know is going to be on that rack tomorrow, they usually let me get it.
You are so lucky to have a Wal-Mart that has such a huge stock of plants. The ones close to me carry very few houseplants, probably about a tenth of what your had.
Hi Ashley you made me so happy that you went to Walmart so that way I know what to look out for when I go I love your pink pot they have some similar at Dollar Tree
I definitely would have picked up that 30 cent Easter cactus! Because why not? I don't do well with holiday cactus so I could practice on it. Personally I might have considered the global green pothos although I prefer plants $15 and less because I'm new enough to fear killing plants. My big find today at a small local nursery was a Hawaiian pothos for $10. Six inch pot with 3 trailers from 12 to 15 inches. I love thrifting pots and would enjoy another video on that. It's fun to get creative. Thanks for all your great videos.
Home Goods and Big Lots are AMAZING for pots this time of year! And my Costa siltepecana is glorious as well. I picked it up last fall when I was wandering around, waiting for my car's service. It'll climb if you want it to-or climb and hang at the same time. I really like it.
I recently picked up a few cute pots at the store At Home, but it might be a Texas only store, not sure. I totally forgot to check out Walmart recently when I was repotting my orchids and needed smaller pots. I'm definitely making a trip there to look for the siltepecana and look for a few smaller pots.
I’m also always very nervous every time I hang a plant from my ceiling lol. Although I have quite many hanging, I have drywall… Drywall WILL crumble around a common screw & the screw will NOT hold. I have to use Swag Hooks which has an attachment that goes above the inside of the ceiling then rest on top preventing the screw from falling back out the hole. Only downside is unless you have an attic and can access the room ceilings… once attachment of the swag hook is in… it’s not coming back out. Safe Hanging my fellow planty parents💋🩵
I was finally able to find a yellow bromeliad. It sits outside my plant shelf that has grow lights. It doesn't like to be watered too much. It's still alive 😅 it still has its yellow flower stalk too. 💛
I just got a monstera Thai constellation from Walmart last week. 40 bucks. It had four leaves. Three of them decent sized. Absolutely perfect condition. No wilting or brown spots at all.
Oh fun, fun, fun! Thank you for this shopping spree at Walmart video. I too made plant purchases from Walmart. I purchased the diefienbacha maculata, golden pothos, a very nice and an interesting looking succulent. I was relieved to see that the Raven ZZ plant at Walmart was the same amount that I purchased from Home Depot. So thanks for price depicting.
I have always enjoyed watching your palnt shopping, thanks for sharing, it is very therapeutic... I enjoy all plants , I have mine mostly outside which you gave me inspiration to start inside too now! In my videos i show a little of my garden it's nothing major and rare but I enjoy it because flowers/plants gives me joy! Im going to plant tomatos again soon, I got discouraged few years in a row I have no luck with them on the ground so, Ima try the pot, maybe I have the wrong soil... sighs
Everytime I watch one of your plant shopping videos they make me want to jump up and run to a store. Unfortunately for some reason our stores here in Pennsylvania have been SO disappointing. So I'll live vicariously through you!!🤗💚✌🏽
Ashley, Thank you so much, for going over the little cacti, I really enjoy looking at them. I want start to collect a few different one"s I like. But not prickly ones. lol Also got my first AIR Plant awhile ago, I had never owned one before. They are fun to look at too. Your videos are very enjoyable. Thank You from Alberta Canada. Our Big Box stores don't have hardly any plants in yet. They are starting to get outdoor plants. But few and far between, on the house plants. Our Wal-Mart has virtually half a rack of plants, or maybe a quarter of a rack. They usually have lot's, not this year? We don't see half the plants you see in the USA. Don't know why? Great Video. Thanks again.
❤ Nice plant you bought! I love it! I bought some large cacti recently in black nursery pots from my local Walmart up here in Virginia. They were only $8.96 each!
Last Wednesday morning I went to Walmart here in Columbia, MO. Just to check out some pots for my houseplant, but something told me to go see what's new in the nursery department and OMG I was so surprised when I saw 4' Monstera Thai Constellation there for $38 🤗 And, of course, I bought 4 of them 😅 Next day I came back and everything was gone and they told me they wouldn't have it again. I guess I was Lucky 🍀😝🙏
My local Walmart is over flowing with plants! Picked up a Thai Constellation recently, and a weirdo euphorbia today! Picked up a siltepecana about 2ish months ago from Lowe’s and it’s growing like mad!
I love those pots never see them where i am. I love the white one. And the price is so good. I loved the white pot underneath the shelf a hanging planter. I love looking through succulents and cacti section. And the Sansevieria’s aswell. I don’t buy epipremnum plants anymore cause they grow so leggy. I don’t like Bromeliads. Yes i miss the thrift videos.
I’m so excited! I’m going to go in Walmart and Lowe’s tomorrow, so I’ll report back. Yes, thrift video! I am new and am so far loving just walking along while you gush over plants. 😁🪴💚
I bought a strawberry begonia on major discount in January from Kroger. I had to wait but it got planted a week ago in middle Tennessee they are supposed to be hardy here
So, my money trees are out in full sun. When they started curling their leaves this past summer, I had to Google it. I thought it gave the tree a cute look, just like you, but it's a sign of too much water or too much sun.
You need to increase your budget to around $300. Don't feel bad about it -- it's good to have hobbies. Relaxing for your mind and keeps you learning new things.
I belive the cactus at 14:21 is actually an Eve's Needle cactus. I got one from home depo and I love it. I planted it up in a thrifted ceramic water jug and it looks so cool out on my balcony.
$30 won't buy one of their Philodendron Monstera deliciosa Thai Constellations, alas! I was about to give up on waiting for my bromeliad to re-bloom when I saw two inflorescences! I began by watering the soil of my first bromeliad but learned that they should be watered in the "vase" formed by a cluster of leaves. They need a lot of light.
A+ find on the monstera S…. I have one but a very small one I’ve seen theses being posted on facebook Groups I followed but no longer following because they are toxic…. But yea definitely 😅on my list if I ever find one
Do you by chance have it real close to a grow light? I have mine about 10 ft. from a west window and it's growing well and no white. Maybe it has been crossed with a pearls n jade or pothos n-joy?? Strange for sure!
@@jackiewhitney5031 Hi, I have it in a sunny bathroom, but it's not close to the window. Don't know if it was ever crossed with anything, but it is really strange and actually rather pretty. I keep hearing about sport variegation (don't know if I got that right) but I don't really know what that means...
Where do you live ? I’m in Minnesota have 2 Walmarts here there plant selection is far from yours they don’t have much for a selection and they don’t water them they just go dry and die
Southern California Walmart are terrible. I was there a few days ago nothing good and all the plants are swimming in water. You figure that sunny California would have a nice selection of plants. We are the worst even Lowe’s and Home Depot are 😩.
I’d love to know where you got your beautiful red wine glass you’re drinking out of?? It’s very hard to find that particular one for some reason! Thank you in advance for your help! 🍷🪻🍷🌱

@@andyandbee Thank you. I really appreciate that. She was the best and I had 18 wonderful years with her.

Yes, thrifting video please. Also a tour of your beautiful plant room 😊

I normally don’t have luck with ferns either. I rescued some lemon button fern from Lowe’s and they are thriving now.

My Walmart had Thai Cons this week! I snagged 2 to pot together!! Love that big box shops are stepping it up!
Hi Ashley, Such a fun plant shopping video and what a great price you got on your beautiful Siltepecana! Loved that pink pot as well. Happy growing!

Such a gorgeous Monstera, what a find! And that pot is adorable 😊 Thanks for taking us along, I love your shopping videos Ashley 💖🪷💖
The monstera, white pathos, and the snake plant that looked like the whale fin. Thank you for sharing.
Venus flytraps don’t need a lot of humidity but need to stay moist, keep them in a inch of water

Those bubble pots are such an odd size. Couldnt get any of my plants to fit, ended up giving mine away, but cute

Very nice plants☘️❤iam a new subscriber❤❤
Michigan Walmart don't have any plants yet!!!
The cactus on 13:28 is a gymnocoliasum
Do I really need to put perlite & orchard bark with my Miracle Grow .Can I use the Miracle Grow by itself .
My Global Green has developed bright white variegation through some of the leaves. I wonder how common this is....
Do you by chance have it real close to a grow light? I have mine about 10 ft. from a west window and it's growing well and no white. Maybe it has been crossed with a pearls n jade or pothos n-joy?? Strange for sure!

You should be doing Home Shopping Network!!!!😂😂😂😂😂
I am newer to plant terms so I’m wondering what the difference between variegation and sport variegation is?
I just got one of the purple cactus! They are called a chin cactus 😂 mine had two blooms on it!
Oh Ashley, I would put my Pink Princess in that cute pink pot! 🩷
That would be cute.
Yay chi!
Your money trees look like our Umbrella trees 😊
Sorry I’m so late to your plant party. Pls post names on your findings. 😊
You did at the haul. Thanks ☺️
What about dollar general, family dollar and/or the dollar tree
Who’s buying bromeliads??every store has so many of them but I’ve never once seen one in anyone’s plant tour!
Is this in Canada?
I buy my pots at Ross

How about Pikes.
Plant pots are expensive aren't they. I buy all mine from charity shops for a pound each
Omg you’re going way to fast and not really giving the chance to look at the plants .im sorry 🙃
I’d also love a start off your new Monstera!! 😉 ❤ Great video!
I’d love to know where you got your beautiful red wine glass you’re drinking out of?? It’s very hard to find that particular one for some reason! Thank you in advance for your help! 🍷🪻🍷🌱
