    Just wanted to tell you thanks. Your video is the only one out there I could find on installing a Bronco sport oem hitch. I watched your video a few times and went for it. I’m 70 years old and it went fine. Took me 2 hours and 15 minutes. I bought the hitch using my ford pass points and then couldn’t find any ford dealership in the northern Ohio area that would install it. What a mess. One dealer had my car for 2 days and didn’t install the hitch. They were freaking out because ford doesn’t list what to charge for the install. I was quoted from $300 to $1200 to install it without a harness. One dealer Mullinax quoted me 6 to 8 hours minimum to install it at $100 an hour. Kept going on about even the taillights have to come off. I’ll never go there again! Ford needs to straighten out their dealerships. Anyway thanks again!

    • @paulstan9828

      @@bradleywilson8114 I did install it myself. If I had to do it over again I would of still of done by myself. I hesitated at first because I didn’t want to break any of the plastic snaps or trim push pins. I bought a set of plastic trim removal tools they helped. If you are going to install one Just take your time and if you feel like it’s to much just stop. I did eventually find a hitch installer that would of done it for a couple of hundred but by then it was already installed.

      @@dailydrivenH2 Lemme know if you ever do a video on installing the wiring harness. Can't find anything out there yet.

    • @dailydrivenH2
      @dailydrivenH2  2 роки тому +1

      So I ended up taking the bronco to a local uhaul shop and charged me just under 200$ to do the install. The reason I went that route is because my local ford dealership wanted almost 300$ just for the wiring harness so it was cheaper to pay and have it done . I wanted to film the process but didn’t allow me to record.

    One thing I noticed after finally getting time to do this install is that the torque spec for the bumper bolts is 115 Nm (85 Lb-ft). The spec is in step 16, bottom corner.

      The instructions I Used was provided by the guy at the parts department at the dealership, I assume its the same they use to do this at the dealership. So maybe hitting the nearest dealership service/parts department could help.

    Great teaching in your video! Helped me accomplish this today. I used a dremel on the cutout since the plastic was too much for my utility knife. Any reason why those four large nuts need to be reinstalled at the top of the original bumper? Super job!

      The one in this video is the factory one from the ford dealership . You basically get the same instructions as the service guys . Just remember to be careful especially when taking the rear lights off they get scratches easily. Glad I could help.

      I edited the video to shorten it but ill say prepare to spend about an hour and a half and please I always advise if you dont feel comfortable taking all this part out just pay for the install instead . Be really careful taking the lights out it inly takes a second to out a scratch on them .

    • @dailydrivenH2
      @dailydrivenH2  3 місяці тому

      Assuming you got The OEM hitch you can go to any ford dealer parts department and they should be able to give you a print out with the installation instructions the one I got is the one service uses for every install. Keep in mind some dealers even if you buy parts from them tell the parts guy not to give it to you (instructions I mean) sort of trying to push customers to pay the dealer for installation.
