    Great advice as always! I couldn't agree with you more! I spent hours watching others, buying books to read, asked a lot of questions, etc. Then I had to practice, practice, practice. It doesn't always happen over night. Enjoyed as always! Take care my friend!

    I use a scrolnado now for dust collection on the scroll saw. It’s highly effective.

      Sounds great, I've just changed dust masks. The new one protects the eyes from dust far better.

    Another great video! I first started my journey in woodworking with a scroll saw. My first one was a cheap brand called Skil. It worked ok for what I was doing at first, but then when I started doing more projects which required more pilot holes, I quickly found out that the quick release was the way to go. My wife bought me a DeWalt with the quick release. It was a game changer. I still use it and works great for what I do. I made my own stand from plans I purchased from some website and it works good. I do have to be careful to make sure that it is on steady ground though. I hope to be able to use it more down the road.

      Hi Joe, hope all is well with you. The scroll saw is an essential tool for ourselves. We progressed in a similar way. Started with a budget machine but quickly realised it wasn't up to the job. Today the scroll saw is in daily use and I've just bought another one to use on holiday!🤣🤣

    I’ve just come across your channel and recently got myself a scroll saw (well last December but I’ve only used it once 😂)
    Some great tips and stacking the wood seems so obvious but I’d never have thought of it lol
    Also it’s great to see another Welsh channel on here and one that’s doing so well. All the best 🤙

    Great advice there’s so many scroll saws available now I agree Hegner is the saw of my choice I have tried several different brands but honestly the new design saws just doesn’t hold up to production cutting I had to try a DeWalt it they cut great and have some good features but I found out quickly they aren’t the quality of a Hegner or even some of the cheaper parallel arm saws
    Really great video Thanks

      Hi, great to hear from you. Delighted to hear that the videos are useful. I work with a Hegner multicut 2s. It's done a great job for over 20+ years. You can often find good quality Hegner scroll saws on Ebay second hand. You can find them new on the hegner.co.uk website. If you do find a good one at a reasonable price on Ebay make sure it has or you get hold of a quick release system. It will save alot of time and hassle.

    What was the dark colored glue you used to stack the layers of wood before cutting?

    • @DailovespoonsThomas

      It's Starbond CA glue. You'll find a link in some of our video descriptions.

    Interesting, I would have thought the packing tape would have put a sticky residue on the blade and made it tacky/cloggy.

    • @DailovespoonsThomas
      @DailovespoonsThomas  8 місяців тому

      Works well when cutting hard wood and working with a blade with a low T.P.I. never had any issues with clogging or the blade becoming tacky.
