    I have purchased this for myself. The initial tablet that I purchased was Deco O1 V2 two years ago and it was my main digital art tool, but I switch to this about 1 month ago.
    One thing that I found in the Xp-Pen product which I really despise is the inconsistency of how it feels to draw on the surface (Same as the prior Deco O1 V2). The surface has a bit of texture to it which makes it a lot more enjoyable to draw on compared to a clean glass (Like Surface Pro or IPad Pro which is really bland and unenjoyable). However, when there's too much friction, the feeling suddenly changes under the pen and it starts to feel like dragging chalk on a chalkboard while it makes a screechy sound. The surface suddenly crashes with the pen. And the pen can't slide on the surface and it's chewing through it. Like it's hard to describe but It really feels that.
    It doesn't feel very good and it throws me off when I'm drawing. I figured since Deco O1 V2 was a cheap product, this problem was to be expected as I was paying less, but with this, It still happens from time to time, and I gotta be real with you man, I dread sitting down to draw because I really don't wanna experience that when I'm drawing. Like, I dread those feelings and times when It happens because it just feels fucking awful.
    But when it doesn't happen, drawing feels amazing. Like I sink into it like there's no tomorrow. Same with Deco O1 V2. It's incredible until that sudden too much friction across the surface happens and the experience is just shit.
    How can I fix this on the tablets? How can I keep it consistently smooth and clean? Because I may end up selling the tablets and getting a Wacom Intuos Pro instead, and I genuinely don't wanna do that because this tablet is amazing. Just that sudden screechy jump noise and feeling under my hand that I really don't wanna experience.
    Thanks!

    Hi! I've watched so many of your reviews, but I still cannot make a decision. I'm looking to buy my nephew his first drawing display tablet. He's been working with an older Surface Go Pro, but the poor kid complains about issues with the pen and a bunch of other things. He's no expert, he just recently within the last year shown interest in digital art. I know that that the first brand people recommend is Wacom, I've looked at the Wacom One and the Cintiq 16, but I see that there might be more affordable options (Huion and XP Pen) with better specs.
    If you were to recommend one for a teen beginner artist, out of the two Wacom and the Huion and XP Pen options, which would think is the best option. I am completely lost, I don't understand much when it comes to this, it's not my area of expertise or interest, so any help you might be willing to give me would be greatly appreciated.

    • @CreateNowSleepLater
      @CreateNowSleepLater  2 роки тому +1

      Those are generally the big 3 in the pen display market. In terms of nabe recognition, Wacom is still the king and the price reflects that. So kind of depends on the person. For example, you could give someone a great device but if they have their mind set on Wacom, they might be disappointed. Conversely, Huion and XP-Pen have really closed the gap and in some cases, the specs are even better at a lower cost. I try to stay impartial because people are different. So it comes down to budget vs. performance. I love the 16” size. It’s easily the most popular now. From a performance perspective, this device is great. The comparable Wacom model is the Cintiq 16 which is going to cost more but is a work horse. It doesn’t have the fancy specs but it still has the best pen in the game. Again though, the gap is getting close. You probably can’t go wrong with those 2.

      @@CreateNowSleepLater Thank you so much for replying! I appreciate you being impartial, it does help. I've watched so many "reviews" that are painfully obviously partial, that it's just pointless to watch.
      Now, I do have one more question (last one), what is your opinion on an iPad? I know a pen display is not the same as an iPad, so probably comparing both cannot be done fairly, but would you consider that a good option for digital art?

    • @CreateNowSleepLater

      @@CreateNowSleepLater I don't do anything professional or complex, so simple!
      Mostly hand lettering and poster graphics that I can use to teach with.
      I also just prefer any note taking at meetings, as I study, etc., to be a hybrid of color, doodles, lines, and text. A big priority is to be able to do that then digitally share, annotate, and organize my notes using a file format that is friendly. For example, I use the S-notes app on my samsung phone often... but "sharing" those files is not intuitive, nor is revising them.
