Right? My last relationship ended because he was super organized and i was too chaotic and spontaneous for him, even though he also somewhat liked that because I am fun and brought energy to his life 😅
Some things in this video just soo true. And for me it is so difficult to live with my family, especially 'cause I'm the youngest, I'm just so chaotic.
I feel like a big part of ENFP's is their deep and philosophical side. We are indeed fun to be around and we're quirky and easily excited but we're not shallow or dumb. Though I understand that the stereotype usually just includes being random, outgoing and easily excited.

sometimes it’s hard to be an enfp, cause so many people (especially at school) only see the chaotic, friendly and funny side of us, while we’re actually deep thinkers who have their worries, too. we naturally play the strong ones to support everyone around us, but nobody really gets that we are just as vulnerable as them.
My best friend is an INFP and we have this weird twin thing (we also share the same first name) where we say the same thing at the same time constantly.

MultiUroX I’m a serious hugger- if anyone’s stressed, or if I’m stressed, or if someone’s super happy, or I’m super happy, or it just seems like a good time to hug, I will hug someone. Even if I don’t know them at all, they will be given a hug from me. ...and in writing that huge run-on sentence, I have proceeded to realize that I hug people very often and probably overwhelm some of them. @@Chigger Hugs are the best thing in life. As an INTP, people don't know how much I need hugs. Someone said to me, I know you don't like hugs so I won't hug you. I thought "What??!!" How little we are INTPs understood. I never got many as a child except from my grandparents but they are precisely what I wanted. I could just spend the rest of my life hugging my husband. I don't need food or anything else (obviously I do as I would die but nothing else seems as important to me). I need to give my husband at least one hug a day and it feels like my heart is being ripped out when I have to stop. Hugs are the best thing ever.
When he said he stared at a leaf for 15 minutes I felt that. I went hiking today and introduced myself to some trees and shook hands with the leaves. I even asked one if I could take it home. It's sitting on my bedside table right now. Totally normal.
Love it ❤. I do the same as well. The other day i made “moon water” - put water under the full moon to charge it. I decided later to water some of my indoor plants with the water. I asked each of them if they would like some moon water before i watered them! 😂

I love infjs insightfulness Enfps tend to look at every angle of a situation but sometimes we miss a few and infjs help us to see those parts Also infjs are just as determined and passionate as enfps are! I love adopting introverts. 💙 Easy to feed, and take care of, fairly quiet most of the time. Then when they start to hibernate you can self-care! Or if they have different hibernation patterns, you can have one go into restmode and may have one juuust starting to move, readying themselves to leave the "cave" to explore the wilderness again! We caretakers are right there to help with that! Introverts are lovely. 😉😁😁😁

Frank I love your commitment and love for Mbti! As an enfp, I’d like to add that we are the most analytical of the feeler types based on our cognitive functions of Ne- Fi- Te-Si. There is only one other type who has feeling as a secondary function. We also have Te as a third function which makes us highly logical and rational in our decision making. Also enfps are the most introverted of the extroverted types, which is why so many of us think that we are introverts or “ ambiverts” and struggle with finding out mbti type. your videos show the lighthearted side of the highly analytical, semi introverted enfp, and that beautiful. I just hope that maybe another person typed as an enfp reads this comment and feels like they are seen. ❤️
I just saw ur comment on other Franks video. Thank you for explaining. And it's true! I thought I was an introvert. But then realized that I'm an ambivert. But, nope. I'm introverted extrovert. Which makes me really sad when I stay alone too long in my apartment. But after that really need a time to be alone again 😅

As an ENFP, we are fun and outgoing and enthusiastic, but we have a deep perspective on things, and we get tired too. We get social drained, but we always put on a smile for others. There’s more than how the media sees us, but I love the videos all the same! :)
Calling customer service- that’s literally me. I’ve straight done something almost identical to that. “Forgot why I called but you have a really nice voice so could you give me a suggestion on why you think I called?” And he totally helped me remember. Will always remember that guy.... hope he’s doing well.
Sometimes when calling random places like support or services I tend to impulsively say something witty that's kind of beside the subject at hand. Which intrigues them and I in turn react to their reaction and suddenly a memorable and deeper conversation has been had. People are cool sometimes.
This is the most relatable thing I've watched on internet. I was often described as goofy, loud, funny and dork. I am really vocal with my crazy side but the other side of me is deep,emotional, sensitive and philosophical that's why i get offended easily and silently when some people thought i am stupid just bc i am goofy and loud. But when i took my personality test i realized why i get along with infj people the most ahhaha

INFP here. I can relate with some of these, I consider myself a very extroverted introvert. But the difference is that ENFPs are much more energetic and chaotic, like if I could do some of this in a week they probably did them in a day. You guys are so cool! *NFP for the win!

@@MJAY-N7129Thanks for that! I have an INTJ roomate before. We live together for about 2 years and we never fought once. I didn't even know her MBTI or mine yet at that time. It was so calming living with her. I lived far from my parents since 12 years old, so I had lived with so many people across the years. But that first time living with the INTJ friend was probably the calmest experience I've ever had living with a roomate. Though, what surprised me the most after that was when I realized that others didn't like her as much. I couldn't even brain their points of disliking her, even trying to convince me to see the bad in her too. Then I learned about the MBTI and realized that we're actually compatible. Probably that's why I love being with her so much. I have only good things to talk about her. We didn't talk too much with each other nor did we spent more time outside to create more memories together. She was a quiet person, so I didn't disturb her so much. But strangely enough, I love living with her. And she always made me feel understood in her own way.

Omggggg. Happened to meee. I got kicked out of a dormitory (no, I wasn't being rude or unruly or rebellious, I was just one of the few people to stand up against the rude, ill-mannered head nun at our religious dormitory). Well, needless to say, my cousin and I moved and my close friend decided to leave as well haha

Love it. Just had my enfp son fly home for one night just for his sisters birthday. He never tells us any of his plans. Everybody loves him always the life of the party. He is a doctor and way into music and fitness. I’m his infj mother and there is no one I can talk to and be understood by more. I miss his energy intelligence and kindness. And just his sense of fun.

I'm read comments and aprecciate that you have family and friends who understand you. I'm the youngest in family and it's impossible to exist with istj mom and intj brothers. I have much better relationships with another people. But when I get home, that's no one who would support me or just help me emotionally. Also it's freaking difficult to write in English but it doesnt matter now if you got it.

Absolutely love this video although it does seem based on this and others you've posted that ENFPs are the butt of the joke coming across shallow and simple-minded when in fact they're very deep and complicated. That said, more ENFP videos please - they're (not surprisingly) the most fun!
He knows that ENFPs are deep. He just tries to present them in a light that generates the most banter by pandering to the Ne randomness and contained excitability and that’s absolutely fine so long as he does a video at one point addressing the more pensive, serious side of them. Once you get past the shallow fun quirkiness you’ll see that they’re often as much a barrel of laughs as a dark INFJ. They could start a depressive epilogue out of a can of Pepsi. They can be miserable as hell hut unlike INFJs who are very obviously very serious and reserved (if a little quietly-gregarious) on the outside other people just don’t get to see the ENFP’s inner darkness. It’s all on the inside and at no point do they ever express those innermost recesses with others, not even family and their closest friends who otherwise have a fairly accurate measure on who they truly are. It’s just funny when other people (not Frank James because he really knows his onions about all this but in general) think they know these people better than they know themselves.
As an INFP, I imagine the ENFP as my cool older sibling that convinces me to go along with them to do fun stuff to bring me out of my shell, and despite my social awkwardness, I end up enjoying myself. Ok so maybe I have suspicions that my actual older brother might be an ENFP and I'm just too self-conscious to ask him to sit down for 20 minutes and take a quiz so I can officially assign him four letters that sum him up, but we'll just call it an educated guess and leave it at that. He's definitely at the very least an extrovert dudebro.
ASK HIM TO TAKE THE TEST. Don't hold back. I'm sure your older brother will want you to get out of your shell and stop feeling awkward and just ask him. Literally it doesn't matter: just ask him to take a test, and when he gets his results and asks: "What does that mean?" just step out of the room and say, "I got all that I need to know 😂."

Guys, I've been to Brazil JUST LIKE THAT !! hahaha I screamed and had to stop the video, after the part at 1m03s. No joke, when I finished my undergrade, I spun a globe and decided to go wherever my finger landed. Landed on Brazil ! So I went and lived in Salvador da Bahia for 3 months in 2008, and now all he just said is *exactly* what I tell everyone ! haha Crazy hearing it on UA-cam like that, get out of my head man! As an ENFP I can relate to 100% of this stuff. One time I was watching my little brother play in the snow and I decided to stare at a snowflake, don't ask why cuz I don't remember, and ended up staring at that snowflake for like 45 minutes. It was cool. (Pun intended)
Certain times of year there would be hot air balloons being launched on my route to work. My INFJ husband would ask me when I arrived home 45 minutes late, “Traffic or balloons?” The answer was always the latter & I’d excitedly show him the 183 photos I took 😅
There's a Twitch streamer named Jerma who had taken a personality test and got ENFP and ENFP matches him spot on exactly his personality, he actually rode a hot air balloon to LAAAAAS VEGAS because he couldn't just drive there like a regular person. lol It's so crazy how 100% accurate the personality types can be.

I don't know a single ENFPs behaving rude, it's more like ESTP! They really don't care how they sound to others... And ENFP are crazy as much, but way more polite and gentle people :)
Well ENFPS are polite and gentle but if you step on their tail and be rude to them then expect very harsh comments which I consider as an INFP necessary.
Yes! :D As a ENFP I never act rude or condescending to anyone, doesn't matter if they are annoying or whatnot. I just want to enjoy every moment and make those around me enjoy it all too. But if someone is really rude to me, and especially if someone is rude to someone else, then I'll shut em up real fast and somewhat aggressively.
An ENFP will try to think the best of you even if you are being rude, keeping things polite and cordial. Be careful if you offend and ENFP, because the comeback will be epic.

We ENFPs are like that rule in Roadhouse: Be nice until it's time to not be nice, and we won't know exactly when that is. As positive towards most others as we usually are, we can also be savage and bring someone down to size at a moment's notice.
As an ENFP, this is why if I was a comedian, I would be much better if I was outside and walking around with my audience following me so that I could say my spontaneous thoughts from my environment that sound funny out loud.

For sure we’re cute and zany and bright, but my favorite representation of us is by far 1:55 and 2:34. Our tertiary Te and inferior Si makes us such rude know-it-alls (if we aren’t mature) and we can suck the brightness out of a room as fast as we put it there. If we’re in a bad mood, we’ll point out every inconsistency and mistake anyone in our war path is making.

And then our Ne connects it so some abstract idea in our head, aka “that sounds like some knock off idea for a kid show.” I sadly relate. Omg. Seriously, the conversations that are struck with telemarketers. Very deep. Seriously never thought of it as I unusual. All my life, since I was a kid, I never noticed but I usually end up having these Conversations, really good meaty conversations in the most random or unusual situations. Like just calling Customer service to pay a bill. Probably late.
I remember going to buy books at a bookstore and having a conversation with an employee which resulted in her telling me her whole life story and how she's earning to afford books. cool shit do recommend 👍

LMAO! Your story made me recall when I was five and buying groceries with my dad. I saw a pregnant lady & I just straight up walked towards her & asked how she managed to swallow an entire watermelon whole. My dad pulled me aside, apologized to the lady, & told me a sanitized version of sex ed. I know, we can be endearing & annoying simultaneously 😗😏😁

Hey man, I'm the one who sent you that email a few days ago asking for this (though I'm sure I'm not the only one!) and I was being silly... but seriously, you're spectacularly creative. Your comedic timing, the writing, editing, the depth you dive into that goes way beyond just surface level for an easy gag - all of it is so engaging and alive. You put so much effort, time, and I'm sure research to put these out. Even when I don't completely get one of of them they're still great on their own. I also appreciate you having subtitles on your videos. It really, really makes a difference for accessibility. I'm hard of hearing, and it's something that's a huge struggle to find sometimes on UA-cam. I just want to thank you, seriously, because going through these has helped me understand some fundamentals of who I am in a way that I can joke around at my own quirks - even when they're things I see I need to change or grow from. I used to think MBTI-type things were just silly and inconsequential, but it's really just another great way to navigate articulating who I am, how I communicate, and what's important to me with friends in a comfortable way. Your scenes are so specific, but it's... kind of scary, actually, how applicable they are to my life. Walking up to a campsite and making friends (and being given questionable consumables), waking up in TJ, taking a phrase and brainstorming a TV show, vibing with strangers on the phone after forgetting what I'm even doing, coming up with strange hypothetical scenarios like what it would take to meet the definition of a descriptive word (like trashing), getting fixated on random things I find unique about others and being unable to keep it to myself, coping with unfortunate scenarios by going "welp, guess I'll just have to cause some funny problems!", "planning" choices based on arbitrary games I've made up for myself, presenting insults in a way that somehow deflates tension because of how ridiculously childish they are, dramatically reciting a list of things with some halfway pre-meditated ending that throws people off guard and the way you do it entrances them so they don't stop you, telling all my friends they can call me up at 1AM and I'll get up for them enthusiastically, having a lifetime ban from somewhere... (In my case, for eating all the free samples out of their bowl every day for a full month like a feral raccoon). Even just the physicals - the strange way I shift tones in the middle of a sentence and just... pause in the middle of them to craft jokes/create dramatic tension, the animated hand gestures, looking at the camera, it's all so hysterical. You're setting a great foundation for others for how you can take a topic that people usually reduce to the most basic of stereotypes/dismiss as meaningless by adding your own spark that makes it so interesting and engaging and just plain fun! Wherever you decide to go with your topics on UA-cam, I have no doubt they'll be inspired. Anyway, sorry for the tome of a response, but I genuinely wasn't expecting a response from you at all and this brightened up my week. Lots of love from here. Honestly, as an INFJ, I am generally a bit wary of ENFPs because they seem so over the top and fickle (no offense) even though the INFJ/ENFP pairing is supposed to be a good one. I don’t think I know many personally but the one at my work is like that and I kind of avoid her. Ahem. This whole commentary to the video has been very interesting. Someone said ENFPs are the most introverted extroverts. Well, as INFJs are the most extroverted introverts, maybe there is something to the pairing of the types. @@kyerinn I think for me it's a bit tough to draw the line between what's me and what's generalizable (to an extent) with other ENFPs. I'm pretty much the token extrovert among my group of closest friends, so I can see what you mean about introverted extroverts. Wolf in sheep's clothing when we go out. I tend to overextend myself and put out BIG energy, BIG hype, BIG inclusion of other people in the room, BIG bringing in my introvert friends and being their anchor... but if I don't have the downtime I usually forget I need between successive social situations - just spending a day relaxing/in bed/self-care, not having to talk to people - I get really antisocial and snappy... then I get upset with myself. I don't know many INFJs (that I'm aware of) but in my experience with the few I do know, I feel like we very quickly flow into talking about very specific, complicated topics that hit close to home together as if we've known each other for a long time. They bring my energy level down, I bring theirs up, and we balance in social situations. Thinking about it now, they're friends I can usually share a glance with across a room and we both have a conversation that feels telepathic without saying anything at all, haha! My sister, who's one of my closest friends, is an INFJ and we live together. No offense taken on the 'over the top'ness. Planning really, really stresses me out - I usually do so much better mental health wise in a situation when I can't plan and have to make it up on the go with just a destination in mind, but the consequence of that is that it's up to how I'm feeling. I always have to bring someone with me on chore days so I do them. And there are definitely things I can take way too far, but usually they're things I take way too far inside of my head. That's where I'm not sure if it's me or ENFP - I usually overthink people's reactions to me and my behavior WAY, WAY too much. With my introvert friends I used to (much less now) always assume if they're quiet it's because I'm not being entertaining enough. It's like being a sad jester who thinks he's going to get executed by the king for failing his duties. LOL.

Your perspective is fascinating. As an introvert, I definitely need my downtime too. It’s endearing that you are the anchor for your introvert friends. You seem to understand introverts very well and how to interact and take care of them. I’m still learning the extrovert perspective on a deeper level and so I appreciate you sharing. The planning thing - I’m the exact opposite, as a “J”, I get stressed out when I don’t feel organized and on top of things. I hate feeling unfocused and scattered. So interesting to see the other side. Thanks a bunch for sharing your viewpoint so eloquently, I’ve learned a lot!

All the comments below it said how amazing that sounded and I concur, so we were all like let's do that! Then some genius reminded us that we wouldn't be able to finish organising it so it wouldn't happen, and everyone was like 'oh yeah 😅'
I’m INFP male Korean guy. When I’m with friends who are ENFP, I feel excited and happy with them. They are more positive but still imaginative and dreamy and nerdy, too. It feels like we are understanding each other without telling them.

How little we are INTPs understood. I never got many as a child except from my grandparents but they are precisely what I wanted. I could just spend the rest of my life hugging my husband. I don't need food or anything else (obviously I do as I would die but nothing else seems as important to me). I need to give my husband at least one hug a day and it feels like my heart is being ripped out when I have to stop. Hugs are the best thing ever.

Hi ENFP here i realized last week that 1/4 of my friends are introverts I’ve adopted over the years
I love adopting introverts. 💙 Easy to feed, and take care of, fairly quiet most of the time. Then when they start to hibernate you can self-care! Or if they have different hibernation patterns, you can have one go into restmode and may have one juuust starting to move, readying themselves to leave the "cave" to explore the wilderness again! We caretakers are right there to help with that! Introverts are lovely. 😉😁😁😁

Frank I love your commitment and love for Mbti! As an enfp, I’d like to add that we are the most analytical of the feeler types based on our cognitive functions of Ne- Fi- Te-Si. There is only one other type who has feeling as a secondary function. We also have Te as a third function which makes us highly logical and rational in our decision making. Also enfps are the most introverted of the extroverted types, which is why so many of us think that we are introverts or “ ambiverts” and struggle with finding out mbti type. your videos show the lighthearted side of the highly analytical, semi introverted enfp, and that beautiful. I just hope that maybe another person typed as an enfp reads this comment and feels like they are seen. ❤️

Calling customer service- that’s literally me. I’ve straight done something almost identical to that. “Forgot why I called but you have a really nice voice so could you give me a suggestion on why you think I called?” And he totally helped me remember. Will always remember that guy.... hope he’s doing well.
Sometimes when calling random places like support or services I tend to impulsively say something witty that's kind of beside the subject at hand. Which intrigues them and I in turn react to their reaction and suddenly a memorable and deeper conversation has been had. People are cool sometimes.

@@MJAY-N7129Thanks for that! I have an INTJ roomate before. We live together for about 2 years and we never fought once. I didn't even know her MBTI or mine yet at that time. It was so calming living with her. I lived far from my parents since 12 years old, so I had lived with so many people across the years. But that first time living with the INTJ friend was probably the calmest experience I've ever had living with a roomate.
Though, what surprised me the most after that was when I realized that others didn't like her as much. I couldn't even brain their points of disliking her, even trying to convince me to see the bad in her too. Then I learned about the MBTI and realized that we're actually compatible. Probably that's why I love being with her so much. I have only good things to talk about her. We didn't talk too much with each other nor did we spent more time outside to create more memories together. She was a quiet person, so I didn't disturb her so much. But strangely enough, I love living with her. And she always made me feel understood in her own way.

Love it. Just had my enfp son fly home for one night just for his sisters birthday. He never tells us any of his plans. Everybody loves him always the life of the party. He is a doctor and way into music and fitness. I’m his infj mother and there is no one I can talk to and be understood by more. I miss his energy intelligence and kindness. And just his sense of fun.

Absolutely love this video although it does seem based on this and others you've posted that ENFPs are the butt of the joke coming across shallow and simple-minded when in fact they're very deep and complicated. That said, more ENFP videos please - they're (not surprisingly) the most fun!
He knows that ENFPs are deep. He just tries to present them in a light that generates the most banter by pandering to the Ne randomness and contained excitability and that’s absolutely fine so long as he does a video at one point addressing the more pensive, serious side of them. Once you get past the shallow fun quirkiness you’ll see that they’re often as much a barrel of laughs as a dark INFJ. They could start a depressive epilogue out of a can of Pepsi. They can be miserable as hell hut unlike INFJs who are very obviously very serious and reserved (if a little quietly-gregarious) on the outside other people just don’t get to see the ENFP’s inner darkness. It’s all on the inside and at no point do they ever express those innermost recesses with others, not even family and their closest friends who otherwise have a fairly accurate measure on who they truly are. It’s just funny when other people (not Frank James because he really knows his onions about all this but in general) think they know these people better than they know themselves.

As an INFP, I imagine the ENFP as my cool older sibling that convinces me to go along with them to do fun stuff to bring me out of my shell, and despite my social awkwardness, I end up enjoying myself.
Ok so maybe I have suspicions that my actual older brother might be an ENFP and I'm just too self-conscious to ask him to sit down for 20 minutes and take a quiz so I can officially assign him four letters that sum him up, but we'll just call it an educated guess and leave it at that. He's definitely at the very least an extrovert dudebro.
ASK HIM TO TAKE THE TEST. Don't hold back. I'm sure your older brother will want you to get out of your shell and stop feeling awkward and just ask him. I'd say ask him!! We love finding out fun facts...about ourselves! Which sounds super narcissistic but it's more to figure out how we tick! Or just to see what kind of sandwich we would be for sheer curiosity. Then we love finding fun facts about others!

No joke, when I finished my undergrade, I spun a globe and decided to go wherever my finger landed. Landed on Brazil ! Well ENFPS are polite and gentle but if you step on their tail and be rude to them then expect very harsh comments which I consider as an INFP necessary.

For sure we’re cute and zany and bright, but my favorite representation of us is by far 1:55 and 2:34. Our tertiary Te and inferior Si makes us such rude know-it-alls (if we aren’t mature) and we can suck the brightness out of a room as fast as we put it there. If we’re in a bad mood, we’ll point out every inconsistency and mistake anyone in our war path is making.

Hey man, I'm the one who sent you that email a few days ago asking for this (though I'm sure I'm not the only one!) and I was being silly... but seriously, you're spectacularly creative. Your comedic timing, the writing, editing, the depth you dive into that goes way beyond just surface level for an easy gag - all of it is so engaging and alive. You put so much effort, time, and I'm sure research to put these out. Even when I don't completely get one of of them they're still great on their own.
I also appreciate you having subtitles on your videos. It really, really makes a difference for accessibility. I'm hard of hearing, and it's something that's a huge struggle to find sometimes on UA-cam.
I just want to thank you, seriously, because going through these has helped me understand some fundamentals of who I am in a way that I can joke around at my own quirks - even when they're things I see I need to change or grow from. I used to think MBTI-type things were just silly and inconsequential, but it's really just another great way to navigate articulating who I am, how I communicate, and what's important to me with friends in a comfortable way. Your scenes are so specific, but it's... kind of scary, actually, how applicable they are to my life.
Walking up to a campsite and making friends (and being given questionable consumables), waking up in TJ, taking a phrase and brainstorming a TV show, vibing with strangers on the phone after forgetting what I'm even doing, coming up with strange hypothetical scenarios like what it would take to meet the definition of a descriptive word (like trashing), getting fixated on random things I find unique about others and being unable to keep it to myself, coping with unfortunate scenarios by going "welp, guess I'll just have to cause some funny problems!", "planning" choices based on arbitrary games I've made up for myself, presenting insults in a way that somehow deflates tension because of how ridiculously childish they are, dramatically reciting a list of things with some halfway pre-meditated ending that throws people off guard and the way you do it entrances them so they don't stop you, telling all my friends they can call me up at 1AM and I'll get up for them enthusiastically, having a lifetime ban from somewhere... (In my case, for eating all the free samples out of their bowl every day for a full month like a feral raccoon). Even just the physicals - the strange way I shift tones in the middle of a sentence and just... pause in the middle of them to craft jokes/create dramatic tension, the animated hand gestures, looking at the camera, it's all so hysterical.
You're setting a great foundation for others for how you can take a topic that people usually reduce to the most basic of stereotypes/dismiss as meaningless by adding your own spark that makes it so interesting and engaging and just plain fun! Wherever you decide to go with your topics on UA-cam, I have no doubt they'll be inspired. Anyway, sorry for the tome of a response, but I genuinely wasn't expecting a response from you at all and this brightened up my week.

Honestly, as an INFJ, I am generally a bit wary of ENFPs because they seem so over the top and fickle (no offense) even though the INFJ/ENFP pairing is supposed to be a good one. I don’t think I know many personally but the one at my work is like that and I kind of avoid her. Ahem.
This whole commentary to the video has been very interesting. Someone said ENFPs are the most introverted extroverts. @@kyerinn I think for me it's a bit tough to draw the line between what's me and what's generalizable (to an extent) with other ENFPs. I'm pretty much the token extrovert among my group of closest friends, so I can see what you mean about introverted extroverts. Wolf in sheep's clothing when we go out. I tend to overextend myself and put out BIG energy, BIG hype, BIG inclusion of other people in the room, BIG bringing in my introvert friends and being their anchor... but if I don't have the downtime I usually forget I need between successive social situations - just spending a day relaxing/in bed/self-care, not having to talk to people - I get really antisocial and snappy... then I get upset with myself.
I don't know many INFJs (that I'm aware of) but in my experience with the few I do know, I feel like we very quickly flow into talking about very specific, complicated topics that hit close to home together as if we've known each other for a long time. They bring my energy level down, I bring theirs up, and we balance in social situations. Thinking about it now, they're friends I can usually share a glance with across a room and we both have a conversation that feels telepathic without saying anything at all, haha! My sister, who's one of my closest friends, is an INFJ and we live together.
No offense taken on the 'over the top'ness. Planning really, really stresses me out - I usually do so much better mental health wise in a situation when I can't plan and have to make it up on the go with just a destination in mind, but the consequence of that is that it's up to how I'm feeling. I always have to bring someone with me on chore days so I do them. And there are definitely things I can take way too far, but usually they're things I take way too far inside of my head. That's where I'm not sure if it's me or ENFP - I usually overthink people's reactions to me and my behavior WAY, WAY too much. With my introvert friends I used to (much less now) always assume if they're quiet it's because I'm not being entertaining enough. It's like being a sad jester who thinks he's going to get executed by the king for failing his duties. LOL.

Your perspective is fascinating. As an introvert, I definitely need my downtime too. It’s endearing that you are the anchor for your introvert friends. You seem to understand introverts very well and how to interact and take care of them. I’m still learning the extrovert perspective on a deeper level and so I appreciate you sharing. The planning thing - I’m the exact opposite, as a “J”, I get stressed out when I don’t feel organized and on top of things. I hate feeling unfocused and scattered.
