I have been to split two times and love it. Issue is the throng of tourists. Best done in May and September to a avoid crowds. Also imho the best part of Croatia is Istra. Many small ancient towns to visit.

The UK is going to be majority non-english in 20 years, brexit won't save them, the damage has been done. Eastern and central europe isn't doomed yet though. Also less people means less global warming. Anti-immigration will save the environment as well.

It depends, with booking.com sometimes you have the option to pay online, which is usually what I do. But sometimes that option isn't available. Otherwise I just pay them in cash when I arrive.
Another great video Gabe. Really interested that you have the DJI Osmo Action as I am torn between buying the Go Pro 7 Black or the Osmo action. It would be great to have your thoughts after using the Osmo Action for a few videos. Keep rolling mate. Love your videos.
I definitely prefer the DJI. I've been using it for the past month now and am sticking with it. I think the image quality looks better, that's the main thing.
I have exact same dilemma and still cannot figure it out. I watched hundreds of videos shot by both, and sometimes Osmo looks better, and other times GoPro looks better. It doesn't help that they are both exact price; otherwise I would have chosen the cheaper one.

Yeah I thought it was some sort of a boat, an ML Jet. Sounds like a fast ferry, haha. I hadn't heard of the island at that point. I learned about it once I got out to the islands.
I went as a kid on a family trip to Croatia, then Yugoslavia, in 1986. Quite different than the GREY countries i suppose that were really behind the iron curtain, the other communist countries. It seemed relaxed, friendly and not that different than western countries really. Weird how the troubles "suddenly showed up" and now seem completely gone...
Croatia is beautiful ... but in all fairness I have to say that the buildings, churches etc. are all build while the Venetian, Italian and Roman times.thats why croatia looks at the coast side like italy. Zagreb for example looks complete different and has influence from the hungarien austrian culture....
