Do you think its easier to do it this way or from scratch with the blank DIY funkos? Just curious:)
It depends what you mean by easier. If you mean in terms of price, then I believe a blank funko pop would be best and then you could just paint it. In terms of detail and accuracy, this is easiest because blank funko pops have a broader shape than most funko pops. The details such as the t-shirt and watch are already there which made it easy for me to simply switch it up. I hope that helps!
does the acetone take off the skin color too? i want to take off the colors on the clothes of one of my pop dolls but i dont want to erase the skin
It does not come off, however be very careful because using too much acetone can ruin the material.
I would recommend just using acetone on the clothes to remove the paint

Do you think it possible to boil one that was custom made with the acrylic paints? I had one custom made and I want to redo the shirt.
You can but the paint might become soft and peel a bit.

Personamedaniel it shouldn’t crack or feel like it. Maybe find a different clay or a two part apoxie

Fun fact: funky pops don’t actually melt in the oven, u less you don’t follow the instructions of the clay… so don’t be scared to cook your sin the oven… just follow the instructions… funko’s are very heat sufficient. :D
Hey! Great video! Just wondering how it cost to buy all the pops and materials
Not going to lie, it was a little pricey considering the fact that I bought 3 pops. You could typically get this done with 2 pops but because I was extra and wanted glasses I bought a whole other pop lol. I can’t remember the cost of everything and I did have some of these materials just lying around at home but I’d like to estimate the price of everything being around $30-$100 depending on how many pops you’re using (you could literally just use one and just sculpt and paint it to customize it) and how many materials you already own. I was thinking of making a new video about customizing a funko pop and talking about the prices.

Excellent! I need to make Elle Driver from Kill Bill, because for some reason Funko Pop makes the other characters but not Elle Driver. She has a nurse costume, and an eye patch. Does anyone know a good figure to modify? I need something close to the nurse costume, I need her hands free, and not holding something, or in her pockets.

Want to try to make Derek hale from Teen Wolf since funko pop never made Derek but I'm going to see if I can find a funko that matches how Derek looks so I'll just paint instead of decapitating any funko pop

Real messy work. Why not tape off the pants waist close to the shirt to get a clean line dividing the shirt and pants
The final result turned out just the way I wanted in the end. This is what worked for me but you are entitled to your own opinion. Keep in mind that this was my own attempt and you are free to do this however you want. I appreciate your input, but no need to be rude.
