She knows what she talking about. I commissioned two of these, Gorr and Garou, and they look exactly like I wanted them to.
Thanks again Sarah and I hope something wonderful happens to you today!
Thank you so much for commissioning me! I hope you enjoy them! Hope you have a wonderful day as well! ❤️
I just got home from the hospital and Gorr and Garou were waiting for me. THEY ARE PERFECT!
Thanks again and I hope y’all are doing well.
420Devil Dog AWESOME!! 😊
420Devil Dog where do you commission
@@astro9340 I think you can dm her on instagram
You just helped me figure out Christmas presents for my entire DND group
Aw heck yeah!
I was clicking in this because my boyfriend asked me if I could customize a funko pop figure to Lil Peep. I was watching her and then when I saw the book in the top left corner of her room, I knew she was a bar of gold. Subscribed
Haha thank you! ❤️
Rip peep
Aw, I'm so happy to see Charlie! These all turned out amazing. I had no idea there was a DIY version
Yeah its pretty neat! i love charlie! 😍 i was so happy to be able to make him! Thanks for watching 😊
How can I order one from you? Do you sell coustoms if I tell you what I want? Thank you!
This is going to really helpful for me! I want my make my own custom Danganronpa funko pops for my favorite characters and I was looking all over for a video to show me how.
Thanks!
These funko’s are so cool . I can see how it can become addictive to collect . Fimo clay looks really fun to use .I’ll look for it next time I’m at the art store ✌️👻✌️🦄✌️🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks! 😊
Thank you for sharing this! They’re lovely ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!
You are one of the more talented Creators on UA-cam. What amazing Pop! characters you have created, and the detail is unreal. Thank you for sharing this with us!
Thanks so much!
What primer did you use?
I love your funko creations :)
Thanks! 😊
This is amazing! You are REALLY good at making tutorials! Thank you for this. 🙏💜
Sorry, you are also a phenomenal and creative artist. I love what you’ve done here. I’ll have to check out some more of your work.
I was wanting to make my OC I have for a long time into a funko pop and once I found this video in my recommendations it pushed me to finally start this project and this was really fun to do and a helpful tutorial :>
Thanks so much!! Good luck with your funko! I hope you have fun with it!
Well done and shown and described in a timely manner.
Thanx for the tips.
Thanks for watching 🥰
Thank you so much! I really wanted more Jollibee funko pops but they didn’t have Popo, yum, or Twirlie. Now I can make them thanks to this great and simple tutorial!
Thanks for watching i hope it was helpful:)
Wow that’s truly amazing
this was so helpful for me and i like the list of supplies you put on the description! i can wait to make my first one!!
Thanks !
Thanks for the guide
Wow that’s really cool! I wasn’t skeptical to trying one of these diy kits cuz I was t sure how well it’d come... yours look amazing! Can you use ANY polymer clay or are you limited to the clay they provide? Which clay would be best to use of you wish to add or customize onto a pre made funko? Sorry I’m playing around with customizing characters with already made funkos so... I need all the tips I can get. This video really helps!
Your video was excellent and very easy to follow, hear. I didn't feel overwhelmed watching it, but more so inspired to do the custom pop I want to create. I have a question in regards to how you create your design on the computer. Where do you find or get the blank Funko pop canvas to upload into your program? Like, I want to do something for the Morton Salt Funko and I'm curious what photo I should use to create my design for that. Any suggestions?? I can't wait to watch more of your videos! Great stuff!
Thank you so much for making this
These are insanely beautiful
Thank you! :)
HELLO! I have just recently gotten into POP DIYs myself and made my first the other day and really wanna experiement, could you perhaps make a tutorial on limb adjustment or recreation to match the DIY designs or what you believe is the best method of changing limb positions or structure?
Wow, this is awesome!! I had no idea you could customize your own Funkos. You do such a great job with explaining your steps. Totally confused on why you don’t have way more subs, very talented!!
Aww thanks so much! 🥰 im glad you enjoyed it!
Wow! What a talent.
You'll be working for Disney in no time.
Thank you for sharing your gift.
I started to create my own custom funko figures recently, but i used a 3d sculpting and printing for it))
Very informative video! If i wanted to use an existing pop funko figure (not the DIY base) and just custom the hair using the polymer clay.. would it still be safe to bake in the oven?
Are still good the uni poscas for coloring the funko?
thanks for the clear video, makes me want to make one! Love what you make!
Thanks!
So I have a question while your drawing the sketch can you add something like a character in a present?
Amazing video! I was thinking about making one for each member in my family (of themselves) I was wondering what you charge (if you offer this) per custom funko?
Loved the video
Thanks!
Yasssss thank you for doing this!!! I so wanna try! You rock!
She does!
Dawwww thanks Lilac! ❤️
Scribble Fix 💜💜💜😊
Lil Jazza ...... I have mini diy keychains this helps a lot! Fimo fan here too. I would love to see a female character like Erza
Thanks! Yeah ive been meaning to do a female funko! (Maybe possibly make one of myself!)
This is such a good video. 10/10 😀
Aww thanks !
Thank you so much!
What kind of primer and sealant did u use?
U can create ones online too do u know how u print them?
Great video! The tips are really helpful! Also - Was that a Jazza funko I saw? 🤣
Yes! Haha :) thanks for watching
This is so cool! Sad I found it after they stopped selling the DIY bases, but maybe I can 3D print them. >w>
This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you!
Thanks! Im glad :)
What type of Fimo did you use to stick the clay to the head? I’m trying to make a Danny Phantom one, and the hair is proving quite difficult
what program do you use to sketch on the digital pop?
How do we commission u?? Would love a custom figure
Thank.
Very good. Nice
Thank
do we have to use glue to keep the clay on? and if so what kind should i use?
This video is FANTASTIC!!! You are so talented!!! I've been wanting to make my own Funkos for a while but planned on using air hardening clay as I find polymer clay too hard (literally, lol) to work with. Do you heat up your clay to soften it and then use it in your pasta roller?
Awww thanks so much! I find fimo to be the hardest but sculpey can be pretty soft! You can use some things like baby oil to soften it too, and I believe fimo can be softened with a bit of water (not too much though) and yes warmth can soften it up as well. Hope that helps!
Also if you dont want to use polymer, ive had some success with apoxie sculpt!
Really wanna try build some of the Salamanca family pops have seen some and they look awesome
Your funko turned out really cool!!
Thanks !!!
Great and very helpful video, and these pops look amazing. Quick question, how can you customize your own body parts? Like the hands, arms, legs etc?
Hi! Thanks for watching! Usually i will chop off the arm or leg and sculpt a new one out of clay and attach it to the body :)
@@ScribbleFix Thank you so much for the information.
what software do you use for editing? i cant figure out how to mirror my drawings on microsoft paint
Hi there i use procreate to draw and affinity photo to edit pictures and make thumbnails. But if you want to flip a drawing In Microsoft Paint, hit CTRL + A to select all of the image. You can then right-click the selection, then navigate to Rotate > Flip horizontal, and that should mirror the image for you. :)
I am by no means experienced, but I hate those bended knees from the diy funko. I just searched and searched what was the most similar existing funko, and just cut away what I didnt want. I was absolutely the right decision for me, a lot of the details were already there and you can always pint over whats there. I just hate those knees! XD
Thank you SO MUCH
This helped me so my I made a Charles and John pops from the fnaf books ty for making this video
Can you put already painted pop vinyls in the oven? I can’t find the unpainted diy pops so going to reuse parts of other pop vinyls
Excellent job
Thanks!
@@ScribbleFix you''re welcome!
hi! if i want to add on for example i’ve got a pop head perfect for a character i only want to add on a crown or something in their hand. what type of clay would work best?
Apoxie sculpt is pretty amazing and you dont have to bake it!
I love that someone goes over in detail for funko pops! Do you accept orders? I really want to make one but i never have the time and i know it will turn out bad and they apparently dont make the one i want haha.
I do commissions however im not accepting any until I finish the current ones i need to make
In the video you said its good to use acrilic paint but when i use those in fimo clay after it drys when i simply scratch it, it just comes out
what should i do?
there is 2 things you can do. you could slightly sand the fimo after it dried, before you paint it, than the paint has some crevesis to hold on to. second, you have to use some kind of sealent after the paint has fully dried. i personally perver mr super clear uv resistant or not. i hope this helped and good luck
I'm absolutely terrified at the idea of making one of these. Nice idea with the foil under the hair. Do you think it would be easier removing the head first?
Do you make one on demand?
Very interesting
🥪
One thing I learned - don't use colored polymer clay because it smudges and it can get messy. Not to mention do not paint before baking. The paint will not dry.
Coloured polymer clay isn’t bad, i just prefer one colour. But im open to trying out new things :)
To adhere the hair to the head, you used liquid fimo but can you use products like elmer's glue all? Or just rely on the clay by itself?
The liquid clay is the best as it all adheres together in the baking process
What if you have to bake clay at 270 degrees, will the funko pop melt at that temperature and if it does what should i do???
I heard it gets a little soft but it doesn't melt as long as you follow the clay's guide lines and don't keep it in longer than needed
can you recommend the paint i could use?
Acrylic paints are fine 😊
Could I use this technique to customize a funko pint sized hero figure (or would it be safe to try?)
I love your accent!
Thanks! :)
This is really helpful!
Thank you so much for the tutorial.
I might actually try this now, but I’m kinda scared 😂
I wasn’t sure if you could bake a Funko Pop... haha, thank you for clearing my confusion.
You’re welcome!
What if I dont seal it?
Hi could you do a Lucifer one with wings etc? Xx
Thank you very much 💖💖💖
You’re welcome ❤️
Great video! I wanted to know if you used sand paper before sculpting or do you just use the clay glue? Thank you!
You dont have to sand it unless you want to :)
They look amazing! You're so talented!
4:11 what if i wanna make a bigger funko pop, like the hulkbuster sized ones?
Im not sure, you may have to sculpt the body from scratch, or modify an existing one
@@ScribbleFix ok, now i have another question: for baking, do you have to use the baking oven in your house? if not, are there smaller ones that would be just as good to use?
Should we sand our pops down a bit before painting? Is that something you would recommend?
Yes especially if there are any imperfections like seam lines or fingerprints or drips of primer :)
hey! do you think gesso will be a good option for a primer?
Yes! Ive used gesso on many funkos!
Awesome! Thanks
How do you make the paint stick to the vinyl? Even when i use modpodge over my projects the paint either peals or scratches off so i don’t know what to do
Find a good quality primer! I use gesso but there are plenty of options even aerosols. Just take sure it’s something that can go on plastic and you’ll be golden :)
Also a varnish will help to protect the paint even further, you can get them in any finish gloss, matte, or satin. Varnish will be a big help too :)
@@ScribbleFix oh ill try that thanks!
Hey what app did you use to design your pops please ?
I’m trying to make a Chitauri Funko Pop by using the Spider Man on wall Funko pop with Clay but I guess a D.I.Y pop would be useful
where can i buy these Base Models ?
how did you attach the stand to the funko? did you paint everything and then attach the stand to the funko with oven hardening glue and bake or did you use superglue to attach the two? also, can i bake clay again after i’ve painted on it with acrylic paint?
Hi there! I painted it then glued it! But if you can glue it first with liquid sculpey/Fimo that would be better! And i dont think you can bake acrylic paints as it might affect the paint
Anyone know where I can get one commissioned? I have a drawing that my little nephew made and I’m not artistically inclined enough it reproduce it onto a pop figure sketch but his sketch is shaped like a pop figure. I wanted to get it Made for him as a Christmas gift.
8:20 Oh my Gah!!!
If I were to need the hands in a different position, would that be possible?
I saw you doing the mixing of the paints to get the color for human skin. What colors were those?
Its been a while since i made this so i cant remember, but for skin I usually go a mix between all 3 primary colours, OR i mix two complimentary colours together like red and green, and then I adjust it to make it the correct warmth and add a bit of white to lighten it if i need.
However these days I prefer to buy a premixed tube of the skin colour i want as then i dont have to mix more and match the right colour which can be difficult 😊
How would I be able to add sunglasses or tinted glasses to my Pop Figure?
They turned out great, You've made me want to buy one now 😂
I heard an earlier comment saying you do commissions where would I request one and what is the usual price for a commission
It took me quite a few tries to make my custom Funkos. Took me I think 3 tries to make Laurie Strode (Halloween of course) and 4 tries to make Vasquez from Aliens. I kinda want to try to make Rocky or Rambo.
What do I use to custom ur funko
what app did you use to draw your funko?
also such a coll vid
subscribing fo sho
Thank you! I use procreate to sketch on my ipad 😊
thankyou soooooo muuchhhh, it's so hard to find a really good sketch app now...
in step 1 is it okay if i design it on a paper because i don't know how to design it on a computer
Yes! Any way you are comfortable :)
Do you still take commissions?
what do you recommend for when making glasses for a character. Not sure if i should use wire for support or if its unneccasry
Hmm yeah thats a tricky one, depends how thick you want the glasses to be, but thin clay has a chance of breaking easy.
@@ScribbleFix yeah her glasses are thin framed. A bit thicker then yours. I was thinking using wire as a base and then wrap clay around it and shape the glasses. i could also use wood, but i have a feeling it wont hold up.
@@devynthecatwithsocks9010 wire could work! Use something strong that wont bend too easily and use pliers to bend it. and then thicken with clay, i think that would be better than just using clay.
I wish i had a 3d printer because that could also be useful for making small delicate details, but those cost $$$$
@@ScribbleFix ahhh yes i would use 3d printer sooo much if i had one. I could also use a 3d pen and then sand it down. hmmmmm decisions
I've been trying to research what types of acrylic paint is good because I plan to make some pops in the future. Can you please tell me what brand you're using? 😊
Im using Jo Sonja paints I believe they’re made by Chroma ☺️
@@ScribbleFix Thank you!
What program are you using to design your concepts?
Procreate on ipad
@@ScribbleFix thanks!
I have just one question.
Can you bake multiple Funko’s in the same oven, say three? Or will they not bake evenly?
I think you could!
@Scribble Fix
Ah, thank you for responding!
That’s good..! I really want to do them at the same time, there’s other people in my household so I don’t want to hog the oven for too long - -;
do you sell your work or have a shop your pops a quiet impessive and very detailed
I want to make a Asta pop
Madam what kind of tool you use to make funko pop to cut the clay
Can we make funko by using air dry clay?
