Oh my goodness. I felt like I was watching myself hang a picture, lol. 1. I always decide to tackle 2 person projects when Paul is at work. 2. I’m also a very visual person. An out of the box thinker. I would have used the step stool as well. Just as useful as a second set of hands. Looks fantastic!

That is too funny! I have to strike while the desire is there when it comes to projects! Thank you!!!

I am in complete awe. This is usually the least part that I like, especially the measurements, the figuring out which hook would work best, but you did it ever so gracefully!

I HATE measuring, but what I hate more is re-hanging because I was off by an inch! It's interesting that such an artistic endeavor has to be aligned with the science and math! Thank you for your comment :)

Well done. I recognize your way of working, lots of thinking and weighing different options, better be safe than sorry :) I think you followed the right route, all the work is in the preparation!
I have a question, as I'm about to hang the exact same kind of very large canvas on a concrete wall and never done it before, what kind of hooks did you have on the back of the canvas and especially in what position and angle were they? I bought a supersized canvas second hand and there are these eyelet hooks already on it but the way they are screwed in doesn't really make sense to me as how to hang this neat and tight to the wall with these. I want the canvas to be flush to the wall, so probably have to take these out of the frame. They are on the outer rail on the back sticking out so meaning there would be space between them and the wall, which I do not want. Also I'm very much in doubt to use a wire in between two hooks since the size of this thing makes me think I will never get it to hang very straight all the time like this because you have would only have one screw or hook for hanging, and I prefer two further apart like you did! Which makes the measuring and hole drilling more tricky though, but more of a stable hanging canvas :) Would be great to see some pics or info about how the rear of your wooden frame looked like. Many thanks in advance!

I can guarantee you that those screws will eventually drop your painting. I know because i live in morocco and we all live in concrete homes. Those screws will slide out eventually for 2 main reasons, the painting is huge and the screws will be overwhelmed by the weight, they're neither long enough nor deep enough in the concrete. I suggest you add 2 screws down for support.

Hi Hamza! Thank you for your comment. It has stayed in, gratefully! The painting is not very heavy. Have you ever tried plastic anchors to stabilize your screws? I didn't realize that Morocco builds concrete homes. How interesting!

Hi Corey! The painting is about 14 feet long and 6 feet high. It's surprisingly not very heavy.

Whao!!!!....Here is another idea on how to hang your oversized paint....wait for a couple of hours and get two people. So much time wasted on measuring here and there. Its not that hard.... 👎👎

This wouldn't be any easier with two people. The most crucial step is measuring, not lifting it onto the wall. Try working with a high-end art gallery; when clients spend tens of thousands of dollars on art the measurements must be perfect :)
